I do not own any of the Charmed characters, if I did, I would not have to go to work. This is done for fun.
PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE. I do not personally believe in drinking as much as I have portrayed. Drinking should not be done to this extent, or by anyone under the legal age in their country. Please, be responsible, don’t ever drink and drive, and make sure your friends don’t either. The results could prove fatal, to you, to them or to someone else.
Wednesday
The Halliwell sisters walked back into the manor, having successfully vanquished yet another warlock who thought he could defeat them by attacking an innocent. Brushing the last few dust speaks of the deluded man off her jacket, Prue headed up to her room, her sisters watching her, but not saying a word.
"We have to do something." Phoebe said when she was sure her oldest sister was out of earshot.
"I know, but what?" Piper replied.
"How about a sisters night out?"
"Do you think that will help?"
"She's only turning 30, she shouldn't be this depressed."
"I think it's more then that." Piper told her. "She's turning 30 and she doesn't have any male company."
"Oh, that could explain it. Do me a favor, if I get like this when the time comes, please just slap me."
"Same here."
"So where's Leo been?"
"He's gone for the week, some kind of mission." Piper sighed. "Come to think of it, we could all use a little R&R."
"Ok, then we agree, but how do we get Prue to go?"
"I'm sure you will think of something oh devious little sister."
"Hey, how come I have to think of a reason?"
"Because your the party expert." Piper said, as she walked towards the kitchen.
Saturday
Outside of a trendy new club, the sisters are standing in line, waiting their turn to enter. Phoebe had finally convinced Prue to join them by reverting to threats, telling her if she didn't go she would set her up with blind dates.
Feeling depressed, Prue just wanted to go home and hide. For some reason, this birthday was bothering her more then she thought it would. Looking around at all the other people standing out here with them, she thought she saw someone she recognized. Getting Phoebe's attention, she pointed to the other woman.
"Is that.. " Prue asked.
"I.. yes! DI!" Phoebe yelled, waving her arms to get her attention.
"DI, OVER HERE!"
Turning, a woman walked across the street, "Phoebe? Phoebe Halliwell?" surprise turned to delight as the two friends greeted each other. Soon, they were chatting about everything they had missed in the last few years, after Di had moved to Canada. Well, almost everything, as they each had a secret or two they didn't wish to share.
Joining the trio, they all went inside to have some fun. None of them had a care in the world, but they should have, it would have saved them a lot of trouble.
Inside, they found there way to a table, and Phoebe and Di went to get them all some drinks. While they waited, Prue started to scope out the guy's she could see out on the dance floor, while Piper look at the club, comparing it to P3.
"Here we go." Phoebe said coming back with a couple of tall drinks in her hands. "Long Island iced tea's all around."
"Thanks." they replied.
"Lets have a toast." the youngest sister said. "To the birthday girls." she said, "may you always have happy days."
"Girls?" Prue asked surprised.
"Yes, you and Di."
"I'll drink to that." Piper said, downing half her glass. Catching the looks the others gave her, "What?"
"Nothing." they all said, looking at each other knowingly. Following her lead, they all took a long drink.
Phoebe and Di spent the rest of the evening taking turns telling story's about things they had done, keeping them all laughing at the image of stripping gorilla's and pink flamingo's. Deciding it was time to leave, they called a cab, knowing it was not safe for any off them to drive, and headed over to P3.
Entering through the back door, Piper had the chef mix them up some snacks, as the others headed for their table. Sitting down, Prue noticed the new bartender.
"Pipper...I mean Piper, whos the cutesy at the bar?" she asked, the nights drinks seeming to catch up with her.
"That's...thats...whats his name, you know, um" hehehe "I forgets."
"Its a good things we came here." Phoebe said, a lopsided grin on her face. "Theys cants threw us outs."
"How" hic "come?" Di asked, not realy caring at this point, just glad to be sitting down.
"Thats becwause, Pip owns it." Prue replied. "And Jo-Joey, will make shur we get home. He likes," hic "us. See whts you do Di, now I haves them."
"What?" hic
"Them hic things." hic, she replied, throwing a few peanuts her way and hitting Phoebe instead.
"Pooh, don threw food!" Piper said trying to sound stern, only to dissolve into a fit of giggles as Phoebe tried to catch the peanuts, that Prue was tossing, in her mouth. It soon turned into an all out peanut war as the others joined in.
Watching from the bar, Paul couldn't help but shake his head, seeing the usually high strung Piper try to shake one out of her bodice. Turning to the assistant manager he pointed to them, asking silently if they should do something about it.
Shaking his head no, Joey just smiled at there antics, knowing they would regret it in the morning, and not really wanting to interfere. They had all been a bit on edge lately and he felt the deserved to let loose, happy they were not mean drunks.
An hour later, as the last of the customers left the club, the quartet decided to do a little Karaoke, and headed for the stage. Taking the first turn, Phoebe belted out the tune 'Happy Birthday' sounding a lot like Marilyn Monroe singing to JFK, causing the other three to start giggling madly. Covering his face, Joey reached for the phone, calling a cab.
"I think it's time you all went home." he said, walking up to them.
"No, I wants to dansh," Prue said, grabbing his hand.
"No thanks, I don't dance." he told her, leading her over to a seat where the others were all sitting, trying to make paper airplanes out of napkins. "I called a cab, it should be here soon."
"Oh, yous no fwun." Di said. "Lets go wait out shide for it."
Getting up, the all headed for the back door, wobbling as they tried to walk. It took Piper three tries before she managed to catch the door handle, for some reason, it seemed to be moving. The alley was empty as the entered it, each leaning a bit on another. Suddenly, a man appeared before them.
"The Charmed one's I suppose." he said, not believing what he had heard about them. Could these really be the witches that had defeated so many of his fellow demon's? They could barely stand up on their own.
"Who wanst to know?" Prue asked, looking at all three of him. "Look, twiples." she said to her sisters.
"Twiple's?" the demon thought, this is going to be too easy.
The sisters and Di were all laughing, not realy paying attention to the demon, when suddenly Di found herself laying on the other side of the alley. "Huh" she said sitting up. "Hows did I gets here?"
"Hey, no fair," Phoebe said, looking at her side where Di had been. "I'm supp..I'm supp... I wants to fwip you." she managed to say.
"No no no, I gets to fweeze hims fwirst." Piper said, trying to focus it on the demon.
"No, I goes fwirst, like that." Prue replied, waving her hand at him, causing some loose newspaper to fly up and wrap around his head.
"Oh, look, its a birfday pwesent." Phoebe said, starting to giggle agian, "We's didnt gets it for you."
"Nope, she gots its for herselfs." Piper replied, giggling as well.
They were all stunned when suddenly, out of nowhere, a fireball appeared, heading for the demon. Turning, they all looked at Di, as she stood there staring at her hands. "Thtas nots wha I wansted. I wansted to ice him. Stupids powa." she said.
Behind them, the demon disappeared, not wanting to fight with four witches, knowing he would not get another chance. Even when they were at their worst, they were to powerful for him.
"Di? yous a wish.. wit.. you have powers?" Prue stammered.
"Opps." Di said, hiding her hands behind her back. "Yous wast to shee."
"Lets jus go home." Phoebe said, stunned that her best friend from childhood had such an active power.
Sunday
The early morning quiet of the manor was broken by the sound of an alarm clock going off, followed soon after by the sound of something hitting the wall and breaking. Peace once again reigned over the still morning.
Several hours later, four people, if you could call them that, shuffled into the kitchen, the only sound of conversation the occasional grunt or groan as they all tried not to move their pounding heads, and trying not to see the spinning room around them.
Watching them, Grams and Patty both smiled, preparing to go down and have a 'chat' with them.
"Good morning my dears" Grams said, a little loudly. "Did you all have a good night?" Walking over to her oldest granddaughter, she ruffled her hair. "And a happy birthday to you." she said.
Holding her head, Prue tried to glare at her, but failed miserably when the sunlight struck her eye's, causing her to squint and put her head back down. She just wanted to die in peace. The other three sitting around the table all felt the same.
"Oh my poor baby's, feeling a little ill today?" Grams asked, without the slightest bit of sympathy in her voice. "Let me get you all something to help you out." Waving her hand, grams brought four glasses and a decanter floating over to the table. Pouring four drinks she set one in front of all of them, ordering them all to drink
"Nothing like the hair of the dog." Grams told them. "Drink up, it will help.
Grimacing at the thought, they all quickly downed the drinks. Piper was the first one to dash from the room, followed by the sound of a door slamming. As the others all followed, Grams smiled coolly, thinking, 'there, now for the lecture'.
Trudging back into the living room, Di was the first to see grams, stopping in her tracks, she just stood there, staring at her.
"But...but... I thought you died!" She stuttered, raising her hands, prepared to defend herself.
"Oh, but I did dear. Now put your hands down and go sit!" Responding automatically, she did as she was told, trying not to let the fact that a ghost was telling her what to do, set her stomach on edge. How was it she still listened to a woman who had died almost four years ago?
When the others had all made their way into the room, Grams ordered each of them to find a seat as well. Standing in front of the sickly feeling group, she let them have it.
"Do any of you realize what almost happened last night? Do you!" Four no's were her only responses. "You not only got killed by a demon, you were all very irresponsible! You, Prudence, should know better, even if you, Phoebe, never learned. And Piper, you really surprised me."
Looking ashamed the sister's tried to remember what exactly had happened. It was all a bit foggy, but one thing Phoebe did remember, was Di, throwing a fireball. Looking at her friend, she could tell that she remembered that too.
"You know, I have always been proud of you girls, but last night, last night I was sadly disappointed. You must promise me you will never do anything like that again!"
"Yes ma'am" they all responded meekly, knowing better them to argue with her when she had that tone in her voice. Standing slowly, still feeling light headed and dizzy, they all headed back to bed, hoping that a bit more sleep would clear their aching heads.
"Oh, and girls." Grams said cheerfully. "I have just one more thing to say."
