Prolog

She felt the rage inside her. He had taken away the most treasured thing in her life. And now she would get her revenge. She almost had him right where she wanted him.
“Where did he go?!” She screamed as she entered her friend’s house.
“I…I think ran into the basement!” Her friend right behind her answered.
“The basement? Perfect. Do you still want to use it?” She asked loudly, a little out of breath.
“No go ahead. Do whatever you want with him there. I wanted to lock it forever anyway.” Her friend replied.

She ran down the stairs to the basement. There he was. Right in front of a wall.
“You won’t get me!! Your powers are useless against me!” He screamed in a dark voice.
“Maybe I can’t throw you. But I can throw other things and kill you with them!” With that, she held up the two pointed, sweet-smelling wooden stakes and lifted them with her power.
“Jackson Kelly! This will be my revenge for taking my daughter’s life!!” She threw the stakes towards him, hitting him in both palms, piercing both his hands. He felt his body being pushed back by the force of the stakes. He felt the cold wall and the pain in his backside as he was pushed against it. As he regained his composure, he realized what had happened to him. His feet weren’t touching the ground. He was pinned against the wall by two wooden stakes, sticking out of his hands. Blood trickled down from them.
“Do not even try to free yourself, warlock! You have not enough power for it. The stakes are dripped with poison. It will take you one hundred hours until it kills you. Suffer, Jackson Kelly!! Feel my daughter’s pain!!” She said coldly as she turned around and walked away. The warlock on the wall tried to pull his hands away from the wall but they didn’t move the slightest bit. In fact, the attempt to move only shot intense pain through his body. His voice was filled with rage as he spoke.
“This will not be the end!! I will come back, witch. I will have my revenge on you, Melinda Warren!!!” He screamed after her.

“Heeey Phoebeee! Come over here!” Phoebe Halliwell heard her friend Sarah’s voice. She spotted her sitting on a bench with two of her other friends, Jane and Susan. She was glad that her classes were over for today. And she didn’t have to go to work after this since Paige told her that at the moment they didn’t have many cases and there wasn’t enough work for two. So her older sister, who came back into their lives a few month ago (cf. Lost Oldest), had told her that she didn’t need to come to work for at least a week. Phoebe was grateful for the little break. Not that she didn’t like her work, on the contrary, she loved it but sometimes it all got a little exhausting. So now she just wanted to enjoy her free time. She ran up to the waving girls.
“Hi guys! What’s up? What’s all the waving and shouting about?” Phoebe asked.
“Now listen to this. Sarah was with her family on the weekend and they were cleaning the attic.” Susan started.
“Oh Wooow interesting!!” Phoebe playfully widened her eyes.
“Arrgh just listen! Well they were cleaning the attic when Sarah found this weird wooden board.” She continued.
“A wooden board? You don’t mean a board as in…”
“Spirit board. Exactly Pheebs. And I asked Mom if I could have it and she said yes, so I took it to my apartment.” Sarah told.
“Aaand we thought it could be funny if we kinda…well, use it a bit. Or at least try to. So, wanna come with us? Come on Pheebs, let’s play a bit with it.” Jane pleaded.
“Hmm spirit board, hey?” ‘If they only knew what I discovered..’ She smirked. “Okay maybe it’s gonna be fun. Let’s go then. I don’t have to work today anyway so..” Phoebe said. ‘Maybe I can even see the past of Sarah’s families or something. That would be interesting.’ She chuckled.
“Cool. Let’s get going then!” Sarah said as the four young girls made their way to Jane’s car.

Pulling up in front of Sarah’s apartment, they made their way upstairs to the third floor, talking about classes, guys, movies, work and other stuff. As they entered their friend’s apartment, they sat down in the small living room after grabbing themselves some snacks and drinks. They moved the furniture a little so that they could all sit on the floor in a circle. Sarah then brought the huge wooden board in and placed it in the middle of them on the floor.
“Okay. My Mom told me she sometimes used to play with it with her friends. Apparently they kept calling ghosts with a strong spiritual link to themselves. She said that was one of the easiest ways she knew to call a ghost.” Susan said though laughing at what they were about to do now.
“Alright. And who would be those ghosts in our case? I mean with the…spiritual..link..whatever.” Susan asked chuckling.
“Usually our ancestors would be the closest but…Mom said in most of the cases they refuse to show themselves. Cause they are dead and have kind of like a new world they live in so they don’t cling to our world…or something like that…” She answered.
Phoebe had to laugh. How badly she wanted to tell now that she had met her dead mother and grandmother. But she knew she couldn’t. Sarah continued.
“So we have to call spirits that still cling to this world AND cling to us. From what Mom told me that would be ghosts that want to harm us…Our ancestors’ worst enemies.” She finished with a serious face. But upon seeing her friends’ equally serious faces, she burst into laughter.
“Hey you guys aren’t scared, are you? I mean come on this is a spirit board and something like ghosts just don’t exist!” She said between laughs.
“Course I don’t believe that, silly. So let’s get it started already.” Jane said and put her fingers on the pointer.
“Yeah, let’s do it. We’re just normal people that want to have fun, it’s not like we’re witches or something, it won’t work anyway.” Susan said. On hearing this, Phoebe choked on her drink.
“Hey you ok?” Jane said laughing as she patted Phoebe’s back.
“Yeah..yeah I’m alright…. But Susan you gotta believe in it. If you say it’s not gonna work it won’t.” Phoebe grinned. She didn’t believe that anything would happen either. If she did this with her sisters she wouldn’t be too sure about it but with her friends that had absolutely nothing to do with wicca, she was convinced that nothing would actually happen. She just loved to play along.
“Okay girls no pushing, alright?” Sarah said. All the girls had their fingers on the pointer and Sarah began to speak in a low voice, making everyone giggle.
“I summon you, our ancestors’ greatest enemies. Your enemies are dead but we are still alive. Let the descendants feel your rage.”
“What kind of call is THAT?” Jane said laughing.
“What? What am I supposed to say, I’ve never done this before. Anyway, just focus.”

‘Someone’s calling…that girl…she looks a bit like….’ An evil smile appeared on his face. ‘Guess my time has come….Melinda.’

Sarah concentrated on the pointer again. “Give us a sign if you are here.”
This was Phoebe’s chance. She was already disappointed that the board didn’t trigger any premonitions in her so she needed fun now. She began to put some strength into her fingers.
“Hey I said don’t push.” Sarah said.
“I’m not!” Jane said.
“Neither am I.” Phoebe lied.
“I’m not pushing either.” Susan shook her head.
“But this is moving!” Jane said. “Guys, seriously, don’t push!”
“We’re not!” They said in unison.
“Well let’s see what it spells.” Phoebe looked up innocently. This was hilarious. “W…..A….N…T..want.”
“No wait this is ridiculous. Someone’s pushing.” Susan exclaimed.
“Shh! Just wait. What if it’s real?” Phoebe said, barely managing to hold in her laughter. “Y….O…U…R..your. B…L…O..O..D..blood…Want your blood.” She looked up, acting as if she was scared.
“Okay no no no. I swear, this isn’t real. One of you pushed it!” Jane said as she looked around. But she only saw her friends shaking their heads, a hint of fear in their eyes.
“Oh…my…God..Let’s stop now, this is getting a bit too scary now.” Jane said.
“Uh huh. I…I think I’ll just give it back to Mom.” Sarah added, a little pale.
“Wh…what if he’s after us now..?” Susan whispered, shaking a little. That was it for Phoebe. The looks on her friends’ faces were just priceless. She burst into fits of laughter, almost rolling on the floor. The other three just looked at her stunned, then, after realizing why she was laughing, they felt relief washing over them and also felt the tug on their lips.
“OHH YOU!!!!” Everyone jumped at Phoebe and a tickle war broke out.

‘It is time…’

Phoebe was laughing so hard her stomach ached. Her friends were all over her, not succeeding in calming down either. But suddenly she felt something. She felt cold. Really cold. But before she could even register more, it was already gone. ‘Maybe I’m just tired. I should work less.’ She thought to herself and shrugged it off.
He smiled inwardly. Now he didn’t see the girls from the top anymore. He saw them through her eyes. Their friend’s deep brown eyes.
“Wake up Phoebe. You’re home.” Jane’s voice was heard. Phoebe opened her eyes to find herself in the backseat of Jane’s car.
“Whoa. Have I been asleep all the way?” She asked in a groggy voice.
“Yep. Out like a light as soon as the engine was on. You must’ve been really tired. Maybe giving us such a scare sucked the energy out of you.” Susan in the front said giggling. “I can’t believe I fell for that.”
“You can say that aloud. I really thought some ghost would come and…I don’t know what do ghosts do?” Jane asked, chuckling a little.
“No idea. Anyway, thanks for the lift. I’ll see you tomorrow. Ciao.” Phoebe said as she got out of the car and walked up the manor steps. It was pretty warm outside but somehow she couldn’t help but feel a little cold. ‘Well I just got up. That might be why.’ She thought to herself as she opened the front door.

“I’m hoome!” She yelled through the manor.
“Hey Phoebe. How was your day? You’re pretty late.” Paige said from the living room.
“Oh hi Paige. Yeah I thought I’d do something with my friends since you gave me time off.” She answered while putting down her backpack and sitting down next to Paige on the couch.
“Cool. Had a good time there?” Paige asked handing Phoebe one of her cookies.
“Thanks. Yeah it was so funny! Sarah found that old spirit board and us, Janie and Susan played with it a little.” She said biting her cookie.
“You played with a spirit board? Pheebs, be careful with those things. It can be dangerous, you know?” She said a little concerned.
“Oh Paige come on! It was with my friends and they have absolutely no experience with wicca. Nada. And I wasn’t even seriously focusing or something. Actually I pushed the pointer. And they really believed it was moving on it’s own.” She grinned.
“You did? Oh you little…Well what did you spell?”
“Umm…Want your blood.” Phoebe said quickly.
“What?!” Paige was surprised but started to giggle. “Oh Pheebs you can’t do that. Were they scared?”
“Oh yes. You should of seen their faces! It was soo hilarious!” She started to laugh at the memory.
“I got one naughty little sister, you know that?” Paige said joining Phoebe in laughing. It was then Piper came in.
“Oh hey Pheebs. Didn’t hear you come in. How long are you already sitting here?”
“Hi Pipe. Not long, I’ve just come in. Been at Sarah’s. It’s seems to be ages ago that I did something with them.” She said taking another cookie.
“Yeah you really needed a small break, hey? Oh and don’t eat the cookies now. I’ve just started dinner.” Piper took the cookies from Paige’s and Phoebe’s hands, receiving a ‘hey!!’ from both.
“Where’s Prue?” Phoebe asked.
“She’s here.” They turned around to find Prue walking into the living room. “Hi.”
“Prue. Where’ve you been?” Phoebe said while fighting with Piper to get her cookie back.
“Darkroom. Pheebs leave Piper alone. We’ll have dinner soon. And Paige get that hand off of those cookies.” She laughed at her older sister who was sneaking a hand to the now half filled plate.
“Oh you’re just saying that cause you want them all for yourself!” Paige exclaimed pouting playfully.
“Is it that obvious?” Prue had a sheepish grin on her face.
“Written all over your face. Now come on, into the dining room with you kids.” Piper said laughing and pushing her sisters playfully towards the dinig room.

They were now sitting there eating Piper’s lovely dinner. Phoebe hadn’t had the chance to talk about her day but she didn’t care since Prue had a way more interesting story about seeing her married boss with her lover. Although everything was great around the table, she couldn’t help but notice a strange feeling. It was hard to describe, it was a bit like…impatience or…the urge to do something, though she didn’t even know what this ‘something’ was. As the plates were empty, Piper got up.
“Okay let’s clean up and then we can have some ice cream.”
“Yay! I love ya Pipe!” Phoebe said getting up with some empty plates in her hand but immediately sat back down as she saw the room spin for a few seconds.
“Phoebe? Are you ok?” Prue asked quickly taking some of the plates from her baby sister’s hand.
“Uh..yeah, just got a little dizzy. I think I got up a little too fast. But I’m ok now.” She answered quickly.
“You sure? Come on stay there I can take the plates.” Prue said as she took all of the plates in her hand and went to the kitchen with her other sisters. Phoebe was grateful for that. To be honest, she suddenly started to feel a bit bad. The coldness she had felt was gone and she was actually starting to feel a little warm. ‘Oh I hope I’m not coming down with something.’ She thought to herself. She didn’t know anything about the side effects of having another soul in her own body. She woke up to a pounding in her head. The rest of the night she had felt ok but she started to believe she was really getting a cold or something.
“Aaarrgh I hate mornings like this.” Phoebe groaned as she slowly got out of bed. But one thing lightened her mood in a split second. She had no classes today! And no work. Meaning she could stay in bed this morning! With a smile, she got into her bed again and closed her eyes. But she opened them soon again as she heard the steps approaching her. She saw Piper crouching down next to her bed.
“Morning honey.” She said softly.
“Mmm morning Piper.” Phoebe answered in a still sleepy voice.
“Pheebs I know you have your day off today. But I need you to do me a big big biiiig favor.” Piper looked with pleading eyes at her sister.
“Oh what Piper? Why do I have a bad feeling about this?” She looked back right into Piper’s equally brown eyes. Piper sheepishly smiled.
“Could you please help out at Quake? Three of our waitresses called in sick and today there are gonna be so many guests since some kinda important businessmen are having their after conference party or whatever it’s called at Quake. And there’ll be so many guests. So please please do your big sis a favor. I’ll pay. Pwease?” Piper was on her knees now though she was still on eye level with Phoebe since she lay under the covers. Phoebe sighed. This wasn’t exactly what she wanted to do today but Piper had already done so much for her, even as kids so she decided to help her out this time.
“Okay Piper. Course I wanna help my big sis. But you don’t have to pay. The only thing you could give me is that wonderful Quake’s special cocktail that changes every week. And a thanks-hug maybe.” She grinned.
“Ohhh thank you thank you thank you!!! But Pheebs you’re underage. I’d love to give you the hug but I’ll be punished if I give you the drink.” She said while already crushing her sister in her arms.
“Aww come on Pipe! You’re my sister you can allow me. Besides you can say you got it for yourself while I drink it.” She grinned again.
“Okay okay. Just one though. Thanks again, sis.” Piper kissed Phoebe on the cheek and got up.
“No problem. See you later then.”
“You don’t want breakfast?”
“Nah I’m not really hungry and I wanna sleep…” She shut her eyes again.
“You? Not hungry? Sweetie are you feeling ok?” Piper actually sounded concerned.
“Ya ya. Fine. Good night.” She was out. Still worrying a bit, Piper closed the door and went downstairs.

Phoebe was now at Quake carrying some drinks to table three. She thought she would feel better once she slept long enough but it obviously didn’t work. She still felt hot and her head was starting to hurt again. There was another thing that was strange. Everytime she went into the kitchen and passes by some knives, she couldn’t help but feel the urge to grab them. Once she actually had it in her hand but she couldn’t even remember taking it. ‘This is too weird.’ She thought but shrugged it off since Quake was already busy and she didn’t even have the time to think.
“Here you go. Table five.” Piper handed her two plates right after she came back from table three. ‘I can’t remember helping out at Quake ever being so exhausting.’ Phoebe thought as she did her work. She was actually a little out of breath when she came back into the kitchen. She slumped into a little chair and leaned her head back against the cold wall.
“Pheebs? Hey you alright?” Piper saw her little sister sit down and was crouching down in front of the chair in an instant.
“Oh hey Piper. Sorry just resting a bit. I’ll be up in a minute.” She said and leaned back again. It was then Piper noticed the perspiration on Phoebe’s forehead not to mention her pale face. She reached over and put a hand on her forehead.
“Oh honey you feel warm. Why didn’t you say something? Come on, you’re going home now. I’ll call Paige to get you since I got a lot to do here. Okay?”
“Piper it’s fine I’m just tired that’s all.” She tried to lie.
“Nonesense Phoebe. Seriously, you do feel a little hot and a restaurant can’t have sick people in the kitchen. But I really don’t care about that, I just want you to go home and get some sleep, baby.” Piper said and dialed Paige’s number.
“Hello? Paige it’s Piper. Can you pick up Phoebe from Quake and take her home please? I think she’s a little sick….Thanks. See you then.” She hung up and brushed a hand over her little sister’s forehead.
“She’ll be here in 15 minutes. I’m so sorry honey, I should have left you alone today.”
“It’s ok Piper. You didn’t know.”
”Yeah next time you tell me, okay?” She saw Phoebe nod. “Come on, you shouldn’t be in here, it’s too stale. Let’s get some fresh air, hey?” She helped Phoebe up and went outside with her. After 15 minutes, Paige picked Phoebe up and they headed home.

“Okay you go right to bed, ah ah, no arguing. I’ll bring up some tylenol in a minute alright?” Paige said as they entered the manor leaving Phoebe no chance to answer. She went to bed and welcomed the softness of the mattress. She still had those strange feeling of impatience or restlessness in her that she usually never had unless the situation she was in caused it. But right now all she wanted to do was sleep, so she just closed her eyes and her world went black.

Her eyes shot open again in the darkness. The clock showed 2:30am. Her eyes were open, but it wasn’t her that saw the world. It wasn’t her that quietly got out of bed. ‘I can feel this body getting weaker. Melinda’s poison seems to affect you too …Phoebe. Now that you are finally asleep, I can move…’ He saw the world through her eyes again. He...Phoebe silently made her way downstairs and walked out through the back door, an evil smile on her face. ‘I am free now. See for yourself what I am going to do with this wonderful body of your grandchild, Melinda…’
Her body wandered through the dark alley. It looked like there was nobody there. ‘Nobody is here…If they don’t come to me, I will have to go to them.’ He thought. The urge to take something he always used to take was big. And he had no intention to suppress it. Just when Phoebe was about to walk up the steps of an unknown house, she heard steps behind her. ‘Ahh what do we have here? There is still someone on the streets.’ She turned around and with an evil grin, approached the stranger.
“Hey Miss, can I help you? What are you doing here alone in this street and in this hour?” The stranger’s voice was heard.
“Oh nothing…I just want to do something I haven’t done in a long time…” Her sweet voice rang out but as soon as she was finished saying it, she went behind the man and put her arms around his neck. A loud breaking noise was heard and a limp body of a man fell to the ground, his eyes dead. But it was the force of a grown man who did this, not the arms of an 18 year-old girl. Phoebe’s face turned into a smile as her for now satisfied body walked back home.

She opened her eyes to a headache again. She felt exhausted, as if she never really went to sleep. She thought hard about going to school or not, but finally she decided to go so that her sisters wouldn’t get too concerned. She had to make them believe that the bug from yesterday was already gone. She pulled back the covers. It was then she noticed the dirt on her feet. She frowned. ‘How can that be? Was I outside yesterday? Ah never mind..’ She shrugged it off again and made her way to the bathroom to take a shower.
“Morning honey. Feeling better?” Prue said as she saw Phoebe coming into the kitchen, already dressed and with her book bag under her arm.
“Yeah thanks. I think I was just tired yesterday. And I have to go now. I’m late.” With that, she left no chance for either of her sisters to say she should stay home another day more and ran out of the house.
“She didn’t look too good.” Paige said.
“Yeah, I hope she’ll be okay in school.” Piper added.
“Hey guys look. Some random killer is on the streets. A man was murdered. His neck was broken or something.” Prue said as she poited to the TV.
“Wow thatis like, what, three or four streets away from here. Guess we should be careful.” Paige answered.

The class seemed to go on forever. Phoebe felt like her head was going to explode and her blood was boiling. ‘God it’s so hot in here…They should do something about the air conditioning…’ She thought to herself as she pressed the notebook to her forehead in order to cool her head even just the slightest bit.
“Pheebs? You alright?” Zach on the seat next to her asked.
“Uh…no. I feel horrible…I’m going home after this. Guess I’m getting sick.” She gave her honest answer. She felt too bad to lie.
“Yeah you should do that. You really do look pale….Hey, what’s that?” He said as he suddenly took Phoebe’s hand. “Pheebs you’re bleeding.”
“What? Where?” She looked at her right palm. And indeed, there was a small bleeding cut. “Hm. Must of cut me somewhere. Do you have a tissue or something?”
“Sure. There you go.” He handed her the tissue. “That’s really weird. You got another cut on exactly the same spot on your other hand.” He said stunned as he noticed the blood trickling down his friend’s left hand as well.
“What the…That is weird. I can’t even remember cutting myself. And they didn’t even hurt until now I’ve seen them.” She said with a frown while pressing the tissue on the cuts.
“Wow Pheebs…That’s like Stigmata…” He laughed.
“Ohh don’t you dare scare me. But I don’t feel anything on my feet or my side.” She laughed back weakly. “Besides I’ve never been much of a religious person. How can I have a link to Christ?” They both continued to laugh and the rest of the class they spent time talking about ‘Stigmata’ the movie.

He could only grin. ‘It is starting…Feel my pain, descendant of Melinda Warren…’
When Phoebe came home, she didn’t even have the strength to walk up the stairs. Withough even taking off her jacket, she went straight to the couch and threw herself on it. ‘Damn…I feel like my bones are melting…’ She groaned when suddenly a pain shot through her whole body as she moved and rolled over on her other side. “What…the..hell..was that…?” She said totally out of breath. ‘Aarrgh my head…everything hurts…what kind of bug is this..?’ She thought to herself. It was then she heard the front door close.
Paige had so little work to do she decided to go home and clean the house a bit to help Piper. She stepped in but then noticed Phoebe’s bag on the floor.
“Pheebs? Are you home?” She called. As she heard what sounded like a quiet groan from the living room she stepped towards it. Seeing Phoebe half dead on the couch, she rushed over to her and crouched down beside her.
“Honey what’s wrong?” She placed her hand on Phoebe’s clammy forehead.
“Paige..it’s..it’s hot…” Phoebe could only whisper.
“I know baby I know. You feel really hot. Come on, let’s take your jacket off first.” She helped her little sister out of the jacket although she did most of the work since Phoebe’s body was rather limp. “Okay sweets, we have to get you to bed. Do you think you can get up?”
“I..don’t wanna…get up..” She whispered again.
“Okay.” Paige said and slowly lifted Phoebe from the couch. She heard her sister groan weakly. “It’s okay honey I got you. I’ll put you to bed.” She whispered and carried her upstairs to her room.
Even after Phoebe was asleep, Paige just sat there quietly watching the youngest. From time to time she dipped the white washcloth into the bowl of cold water and gently brushed it over Phoebe’s forehead and cheeks.

He waited impatiently. ‘How ironic…She’s asleep and unconsciouss but I can’t move because of her damn sister…It’s a shame that I don’t have my powers anymore. I have to quench my thirst for human life by using human methods…..I will wait till the night comes…’

She slept for hours without waking up once. She didn’t even notice her sisters come into her room, each checking up on her. But now it was time for her to open her eyes. Again, it wasn’t Phoebe Halliwell that controlled the body. ‘This time I need blood…’ He thought as he walked out of the manor again. He found another dark alley and to his pleasure, aother victim. Actually two. Phoebe’s body approached the young couple from behind, one of Piper’s knives in her hand. As soon as the couple turned around, she rammed the knife into their stomachs, over and over and over again. He smiled at the feeling of cutting through flesh, sucking the life out of the bodies. He loved the smell of human blood. The lukewarm feeling on his hands as it gushed out of their bodies. Again, an evil smile was plastered on Phoebe’s face.
After getting rid of the knife in the backyard, Phoebe’s body stepped through the doorway of the manor again.

Prue was in the darkroom working on her pictures. She knew it must have been 4 o’clock in the morning if late. But she had to finish these pictures as quickly as possible. It was then she heard the front door. She frowned. ‘Who the heck was that? I thought they were all fast asleep?’ She walked up the steps to the first floor and approached the front door. There she saw her. It was dark but she could clearly make out the rather small figure of her baby sister.
“Pheebs? Is that you? What are you doing here honey, why aren’t you in bed?” Prue said quietly as not to wake anyone and switched on the lights.
Phoebe heard someone say her name. She looked around her as the lights flickered on and spotted her big sister standing in front of her. It was strange. It was as if she just woke up but she was definitely not in her bed.
“P…Prue? What…why..” Phoebe was confused. She saw Prue approach her.
“Phoebe what are you doing here? You’re sick baby, go back to bed.” Prue stopped as she now noticed something. Frowning, she touched her sister’s face.
“Honey, is this blood on your face?.....And you got blood on your clothes, too.” She said quietly as she examined her shirt. There were a few stains on it and it looked very much like blood. “Oh God are you hurt somewhere?” Prue immediately got concerned and started to examine her sister for any visible injuries. And she found two. There were rather deep cuts on her hands. On both her palms. “Pheebs where did you get these?” But Prue saw that Phoebe was equally surprised to find the cuts. Sure Phoebe had seen them in school but they were way smaller.
“Phoebe……Where have you been?” Prue’s features were serious now.
“Prue I…I don’t know…why am I here..?” She answered. Prue saw how disorientated the youngest seemed to be.
“Okay honey, come on sit down.” She guided her to the youch and sat her down. She walked out of the room and came back in with a wet washcloth and a first aid kit in her hand.
“Let’s get you cleaned up, ok?” She gently started to clean the blood on her sister’s face and began to tend to the cuts. “So you don’t remember where you got them?” Prue asked softly.
“No…no I don’t even know why I’m up…” Prue saw the confusion on Phoebe’s face. But she also saw the pale features and the sweat on her forehead.
“It’s alright honey. When I’m finished here you go back to sleep and if you feel better we can talk tomorrow, okay? Right now you have to rest.” Prue continued to put the bandages on the hands of the youngest.

‘Soon….very soon…’ He smiled.

“Hey Paige, have you seen the news? Another murder right in this area. A couple stabbed to death. They were stabbed at least like 20 times. Isn’t that scary?” Piper said as she sat down and placed the coffee in front of her oldest sister.
“Thanks. Yeah I’ve read about that already. We shouldn’t go out too much at midnight. Not in those alleys. Even if we have powers, we can’t use them constantly against human.” She replied.
“Morning sisters.” Prue said groggily as she entered the kitchen.
“Morning Prue.” Paige and Piper looked up and answered.
“How many hours of sleep did you actually get?”
“Not many Pipe. Two maybe. Or three. But anyway, I gotta tell you something weird. Have you guys checked on Pheebs?” Prue asked as she sat down next to her sisters with a cup of coffee in her hand.
“Yep. I peeked in but she was fast asleep.” Paige answered. “So what’s the weird thing you wanna talk about?”
“Um…Okay. I was up most of the night, right? And then I heard the front door close or something. So I went up and checked and there was Phoebe.”
“What? She was up? And you mean she was outside?” Piper asked surprised. “Prue she’s sick. Why should she be out?” She asked rethorically.
“I know Piper. Just listen. Here comes the weird part. I asked her what she was doing there and where she’d been but she couldn’t remember. And then I saw blood on her face and PJs and she had two cuts on her hands. Pretty deep ones. I actually wanna take her to the hospital today and let them be checked up. Anyway, I asked her where she got them but she said she didn’t remember.” Prue looked concerned as did her sisters now.
“She’s hurt? And she can’t remember why? Or why she was outside in the first place?” Paige looked confused.
“Yeah…I hope she doesn’t start sleepwalking again.” Prue said.
“What? She hasn’t done that since she was five. Maybe it’s just the sickness…” Piper was cut off by a cry of pain from upstairs. The sisters ran up the stairs to Phoebe’s room. What they found shocked them.

Everything seemed to be fine first as Phoebe opened her eyes. She still felt weak and sick but her hands didn’t hurt as much as yesterday anymore, when she went to sleep the second time. ‘That was some strange night yesterday. Am I turning into a sleepwalker?’ She wondered. Suddenly, an intense pain shot through her hands again. As she looked at them, she saw fresh blood seeping through the white bandages Prue had put on last night. She panicked. She couldn’t start to bleed like hell from one minute to the next, right? She saw the blood trickling down her lower arms, landing on the mattress and leaving red stains there. The pain got so intense she cried for her sisters.

Paige, Prue and Piper rushed into their younger sister’s room. Phoebe was there crying on her bed, her hands clutched tight to her chest. Her expression one of sheer pain. In less than a split second, the sisters were by Phoebe’s side.
“Phoebe! Oh my God, your hands!” Paige exclaimed as she saw the blood through the bandages. Phoebe continued to scream in pain as Prue pulled her into a sitting position, Phoebe’s back resting against her chest.
“Phoebe it’s okay we got you now. We’ll take you to hospital, the pain’s gonna go away soon.” She said firmly, holding Phoebe close to her.
“Piper start the car. We’ll carry her down.” Paige instructed and turned to Phoebe again. “Sweetie show me your hands.”
“It hurts Paige it hurts!” Tears streamed down her face.
“Shhh baby it’s alright. Let Paige look, I know it hurts but let us help…” Prue said placing a soothing hand on Phoebe’s forehead. She saw her little sister slowly letting Paige take her hands. Paige carefully removed the bandages and flinched on seeing the deep wounds.
“Have they been like this before Prue?” She asked.
“No. These are way deeper. Paige you should get some towels, she’s bleeding like hell.” Prue said to her big sister as she slowly lifted Phoebe up.
“Prue…it hurts…” Phoebe was now quieter since she felt a lot weaker.
“I know sweeite, I know. Just try and relax baby, don’t look at it. You’ll be okay, it’ll be okay.” She spoke softly to her while carrying her to the car and getting in the backseat with her, applying pressure to the cuts. Piper was sitting next to Phoebe on the examination table, her arm around her little sister’s shoulder. Paige and Prue were waiting outside in the waiting room.
“He’ll be here soon honey. Just hold on a little more.” Piper whispered to Phoebe who had her head resting on her shoulder, whimpering. She gently ran her hand up and down her little sister’s back to calm her. After a few seconds, the doctor and a few nurses came in. He carefully removed the towles and took his patient’s hands. He then frowned.
Phoebe was stunned. As soon as the doctor had touched her hands, the pain was gone.
“Uh…Miss Halliwell..” The doctor started.
“Yes? How bad is it?” Piper asked, concern on her face.
“Um..actually I can’t find anything here. This is just blood. But there is no visible injury.” He looked up at the two sisters. This was weird. He could see the youngest was in pain as they entered the hospital. But now there was nothing more than the red liquid on the girl’s hands.
“What? That’s impossible we saw…” Piper took Phoebe’s hands and looked at her palms. “Phoebe..? Do you feel any pain?”
“Umm…no..not anymore…” Phoebe was equally confused. Everyone looked stunned for a few seconds until Piper spoke again.
“Uh..could you..my sister has been quite sick the last few days…could you check her up?” She asked, still confused.
“Oh yes, sure.” The doctor started to examine her and ran a few tests. Piper noticed that the doctor seemed to run some tests not once but two or three times. After he was finished, he turned to Piper with the most confused face.
“I…I can’t really explain this, but… I want you to just listen. By just feeling her forehead, I can see that your sister has indeed a high fever. And I do believe her that she feels weak and sick and suffers from severe headache. Now the strange thing is…her body shows absolutely no sign of being sick.”
“Wh...what does that supposed to mean?” Piper asked.
“Well normally when you examine a patient you find signs on the body that indicates that something is wrong. For example the pulse can be different or the coughs sound different or many other different things. And in this case, even if the temperature is high, I can find no other signs. The body reacts as if nothing is wrong. Your sister shouldn’t feel weak or sick actually.” He expalined. Something then dawned on Piper and Phoebe. This, with a high chance, could be supernaturally related. At least the disappearing of the cuts. So they quickly decided to leave.
“Okay, thank you Doctor, I’ll contact you when something should happen.” Piper said and guided Phoebe out again.

“How’d it go?” Paige asked as she saw Piper and Phoebe come into the waiting room.
“The cuts are gone.” Phoebe said weakly.
“They WHAT?” Prue said loudly but was shushed by Paige who reminded her that they were in a waiting room. “What did you say?” She continued more quietly.
“The doctor wanted to take a look at her hand but as he did so both cuts were gone. Just blood left.” Piper explained in hushed tones.
“But that’s impossible we…”
“Have seen them, I know Paige. But what’s gone is gone, look for yourself.” Piper said and held Phoebe’s completely uninjured hands up. Paige and Prue looked more than surprised. “And that’s not all.” Piper continued, “Apparently, Phoebe’s body is totally fine. Technically she shouldn’t be feeling this sick.”
“How do you mean?” Prue asked. “Well do you feel ok Pheebs?” She turned to Phoebe who silently shook her head. “I thought so.” Prue said as she gently caressed Phoebe’s cheek with the back of her hand.
“As I said, technically she shouldn’t, her body doesn’t show any wrong signs but Pheebs is indeed feeling bad so to me this sounds pretty…”
“Supernatural?” Paige whispered. Piper nodded as they started to walk to the car, Prue with her arm aound Phoebe’s waist.
“I just hope this isn’t Stigmata.” Phoebe said in a serious tone, making her sisters chuckle.
“Oh Pheebs! You’re watching too much TV honey. I mean this is just happening to your hands, right?” Prue said playfully ruffling Phoebe’s hair as she received a nod. “See? Don’t worry it’s not Stigmata.” She kissed her little sister on the head. She was laughing but inwardly she was worried. This was obviously not natural, a cut couldn’t just grow while sleeping and disappear completely within a few hours. They definitely had to look up in the BOS.
“You ok baby?” Piper asked as she sat in the back with Phoebe on the drive home. Phoebe had her head resting against the cool window, beads of sweat forming on her forehead again.
“I’ll live…” She said in a quiet voice but left her eyes closed. Piper touched her forehead again.
“Paige hurry. Her fever’s getting higher and higher. We have to get to the book and find some answers to this.” Piper said to Paige in the driver’s seat.
The rest of the conversation wasn’t heard by the youngest anymore as she gave in to the exhaustion and fell asleep.

Images in black and white shot through her mind. A stranger walking in a dark alley. She sees the stranger approach her. No. She is the one approaching him. Next thing she knows she is standing behind the man, her arms around his neck. A cracking noise and the digusting feeling of sucking away an innocent’s life was all she received…

“Shhh it’s okay love, you’ll be fine.” Piper said softly as she heard Phoebe whimper in her sleep. She pushed herself closer to her sister and put her arms around her, holding her close.
“What’s wrong?” Prue asked from the passenger’s seat.
“I think she’s having a nightmare.” Piper answered.
“Fever dreams. Piper don’t wake her but try and calm her down.” Paige added as she stepped on the gas.
“That’s what I’m trying to do.” She answered.

The images continued. Next thing she sees is a kitchen. The kitchen in her home. She sees the knife and her hand grabbing it. The images switched to a dark street again. A young couple walking there, arm in arm. They turn around and again, she feels her hands taking away innocents’ life, this time accompanied by the smell of blood, the ugly warmth on her hands as the blood trickles down the knife and makes the handle slippery. She sees herself walking through the front door, she sees Prue. Her hands start to hurt. There are cuts on them. But she knows that the blood on her shirt is not hers…

“Phoebe it’s ok, it’s ok. You’re dreaming…We’re here right beside you…You don’t have to be scared..” Piper continued to talk to her delirious sister.
“In about ten minutes we’re home.” Paige said.
“Yeah…Just hurry, I really want her to lie down properly.” Piper answered and continued to rub her sisters back. Phoebe was getting increasingly pale, her hair plastered to her face, small cries escaping her mouth. Piper watched as her breaths got faster.
“Okay that’s it. I’ll wake her up.” Piper said as she began to shake her sister awake.
“Piper be careful. Don’t startle her.” Prue said turning around. Piper nodded and continued to wake Phoebe.
“Come on baby. Wake up. You’re fine, you’re dreaming.” It was useless. Phoebe continued to whimper and Piper could see her hands forming into fists. “Relax sweetie, relax. I’m here, nothing’s gonna happen to you, now wake up..”

She didn’t want to see anything anymore. But her black and white movie continued. She feels the coldness on her back. Her hands hurt. She looks up to them and sees two stakes right through her palms, leaving her hanging on the wall. But she notices they are not her hands, they look like hands of a grown man. The blood is trickling down the cold wall, she then looks up again. There is a woman standing at the bottom of what looks like stairs, she turns the back on her and walks up. Hate was the only thing she felt towards her. Pure hate. She tries to move but the only result she gets is the intense pain in her hands....

Phoebe shot her eyes open, screaming, clutching both her hands to her.
“Phoebe! Shhh honey I got you, you were having a nightmare baby. I got you now it’s alright.” Piper held sister close to her. She was completely out of breath, pale and scared.
“Oh my God….I killed them…I killed them…” Phoebe rambled.
“You didn’t kill anybody Phoebe, it was just a nightmare, calm down…it’s ok now.” Piper stroked her back.
“No no no no..I broke his neck…I stabbed them…The blood..Prue it wasn’t mine…it was their blood…I killed them…But I was killed too…” She continued to ramble. The sisters didn’t understand a word.
“Paige pull over.” Prue just wanted to get Phoebe to calm down and wake up completely.
“We’re here anyway.” Paige said as she slammed on the brakes in the manor driveway. Prue rushed to the backseat and lifted Phoebe in her arms.
“I’ll get her upstairs. You go look in the book.” She then walked inside and up the stairs. “Phoebe it’s alright now. Come on, you’re awake. You’re safe.” Prue kept talking to her sister as she laid her down on the bed. It was then she noticed she had blood on her front. She knew it couldn’t be hers so she looked towards Phoebe. There she saw the same deep red gushing from her palms again.
“Okay Phoebe hang on. We’ll get that fixed.” Prue said and rushed to the bathroom. Coming back in with bandages, she wrapped them around her baby sis’ hands.
“Prue…Prue I killed them..” Phoebe was calmer now and looked helplessly into her big sister’s piercing blue eyes.
“You didn’t kill anybody honey, that was a dream.” Prue ran her hand across Phoebe’s damp hair.
“Yes I did…” Her voice was barely audible.
“Okay love. Then who?” Prue asked softly.
“A man…walking down the street..and a couple…with a knife…I broke his neck and I stabbed them both! The blood Prue, the blood on my face on my clothes...it wasn’t mine it was theirs!!” Phoebe started to sob again.
“Shhh baby shhh. It’s fine, calm down…Just calm down and relax…” Prue continued to stroke the girl’s hair but her thoughts were on the news this morning. The two random murders right in this area…A man with a broken neck and a couple stabbed to death…Phoebe’s appearance in the middle of the night…covered in blood. ‘Oh…my…God…This can’t be true…This musn’t be true..’ She thought to herself.
“I’ll be right back, okay? Try and get some sleep.” She put the cool washcloth she had brought on her sister’s forehead and quietly made her way to the attic.
"Anything?" Prue opened up the attic door and asked Paige and Piper.
“Nope. Absolutlely nothing. Nothing about mysterious wounds that appear and disappear just like that. No demons or warlocks that could have something to do with it, nothing!” Piper raised her hands in frustration.
“I can’t believe it! There has to be something! What’s now happening to Phoebe isn’t natural!” Paige exclaimed.
“Guys there’s one thing…” Prue hesitated.
“What, Prue? Anything could help right now.” Paige encouraged.
“I think…or rather Phoebe thinks that…that she is that random murderer in this area.” Prue finished.
“She’s WHAT? Prue you can’t be serious!” Piper shouted.
“Calm down, Piper. But think about what she said in the car. Broke his neck, stabbed them…And the night Phoebe came home with blood on her face and clothes, it was the same night that couple got stabbed! Maybe she didn’t do it. Maybe she’s just getting premonitions through the eyes of the murderer.” Prue said as she tried to convince herself.
“Prue…You go stay with Phoebe we’re gonna keep looking. Okay?” Paige said and Prue left the attic again.

The Halliwells were already asleep, giving into the exhaustion of the day. Paige and Piper didn’t find anything and Phoebe’s condition was getting worse. But the sisters didn’t know that their baby girl’s eyes opened again now. ‘This will be my last step…’He thought as he moved Phoebe to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. Making his way upstairs again, he passed by her (his) own room and walked further down the hall to enter one room of the one that had been forgotten for so long.
Paige woke up to a creaking of the door. In her sleepy state, she glanced over towards the sourse of the noise. But as she spotted the figure coming in, she fully opened her eyes.
“Mmm…Pheebs? What is it honey?” She said groggily. But suddenly she saw Phoebe lift her arm and something glistening flew towards her. Out of pure reflex, she rolled on her side, the knife now stuck in the exact spot she had been lying a second ago. Quickly searching for the switch, she screamed.
“PHOEBE! Phoebe wake up! I know this isn’t you!!” Paige finally switched on the light to reveal her pale, sweating baby sister, the knife again in her hand. Just when Paige wanted to use her powers, she heard it.
“P..Paige..? What am I doing here..?” Phoebe said weakly and out of breath. She then looked at the object in her hand and the hole in Paige’s mattress.
“Paige…did I…” She couldn’t say any more as her world started to spin and go black. Paige quickly rushed to her side, catching her before she fell.
“Phoebe!! Oh shit you’re burning up!” Paige said as she touched Phoebe’s forehead. “Prue! Piper! Get in here, now!!”
Prue and Piper heard their sister scream. Confused and worried, they ran into Paige’s room to find her laying down an unconsciouss Phoebe on her bed.
“Paige what happened?!” Prue said as they rushed to Phoebe’s side.
“She passed out. Something made her attack me but I woke her and she just collapsed. Her fever’s dangerously high, we have to do something now or…or she won’t survive this!” Paige said, panic evident in her voice.
“Okay we can’t call 911. They won’t find anything. There’s nothing in the BOS…Damit what’s there to do!?” Prue ran her hand through her hair, equally panic-stricken. “Shit, we need help…right now or Phoebe will…” She didn’t finish her sentence as she remembered something. “Actually now that we’re witches I know someone who we can call and who might be able to help us!”
“Who’s that Prue? Hurry, we have to do something NOW.” Piper looked at her older sister as if she was her only hope.
“Mom and Grams. We can call Mom and Grams. They have to know what’s wrong with her.” Prue said as she got up. “Paige, stay with her. We’ll call Mom and Grams and try to figure this out.” With that, she stormed up to the attic, Piper right behind her.
Paige just continued to stroke Phoebe’s damp hair, watching her chest heaving and hearing her fast and loud breaths.
“You’ll be fine baby…We’ll make you better now, just relax…shhh…you’re okay..” She continued to talk to the unconsciouss girl.
Meanwhile in the attic Prue and Piper were looking throught the BOS.
“I got it!” Piper exclaimed. Prue looked at the spell before her and nodded. Meeting eyes with Piper for a second, the girls began to read the spell.

“Hear these words, hear my cry
Spirits from the other side
Come to me, I summon thee
Cross now the great divide.“

With a flash of light, two figures appeared right in the middle of the attic. The two sisters were stunned.
“I think I can never get used to this. It’s so…overwhelming…” Piper said quietly.
“You will get used to it, my darling.” Grams said as she hugged both Prue and Piper.
“Hi Grams…Hi...Mom.” Prue said as she looked at the beautiful woman beside her. Patty gave her girls two warm hugs.
“Does this mean we can always see you from now on? Whenever we want?” Piper asked somewhat shyly.
“No honey,” Patty replied softly, “we are only here now because Phoebe is in danger. It was a call for help.”
“So you know that she’s in a critical condition. Does this mean you also know why she’s in such a state? I mean it can’t be just plain sickness, we’ve been to the doctor’s and he couldn’t find anything. Not to mention the weird gashes on her hands…” Prue said in a rush.
“You are absolutely right, Prudence.” Grams nodded. “We know what Phoebe did to put herself in this state.”
“Whoa wait. So it was she herself who wanted to get in this situation? I don’t get it.” Piper said with a frown.
“No Piper. She didn’t know what she was doing. She was just playing with her friends and this is the result.” Seeing the frown now on both girls’ faces, Patty continued. “Listen my girls, what Phoebe’s suffering from is a ghost taking control over her body. The side effects can be fever, weakness and headaches and so on, but this ghost is different.”
“You…you mean she’s possessed?” Piper asked.
“Well, sort of. Now the problem is that this ghost isn’t just some simple ghost. It’s the ghost of our ancestor’s greatest enemy.” Grams explained.
“What? How…I mean what did she do?” Prue said, her frown still on her features.
“As I said, she played with her friends. With a spirit board.” Patty stated. She saw her daughters’ eyes slowly widen.
“She played with WHAT? Oh man Pheebs!” Prue laughed a bit at the carefree attitude of her baby sister. “So she kinda called him to herself? Or summoned him or something?” Her face was serious again.
“That’s right honey. Normally you can’t summon ghosts that easily. But she didn’t count in the fact that she was now a witch. Ghosts are attracted to them much easilier anyway. And the fact that they summoned the ancestor’s enemies didn’t help either.” Grams told the girls.
“Actually what do you mean with ‘our ancestor’s enemy’? You mean your enemies? Or great Grams?” Piper asked.
“It is far before our time. This is the ghost of your great great great great great great grandmother’s enemy.” Patty said.
“Wait our great great…you mean it’s…”
“Melinda Warren, exactly Prudence. It is the ghost of a warlock Melinda vanquished a long long time ago.”
“What…what happened then?” Piper asked.
“Well, this warlock, his name was Jackson Kelly as a human, he killed Melinda Warren’s first daughter.” Patty said.
“Melinda Warren lost a child..? She had more daughters?”
“Yes Prue. Her daughter wasn’t more than nine years old when he killed her. So she decided to take revenge on him. She…she chased him into a basement and there, she pinned him to the wall with two poisoned stakes right through his hands. He had one hundred hours of suffering until he died.” Patty saw Piper flinch.
“Ouch…Wouldn’t want to be on their side. But do you mean…Phoebe has one hundred..and now of course less…hours to live?” Panic was spread across her face.
“Less. You are right that Phoebe’s body is now suffering from the exact poison that killed Kelly. And therefore the mysterious wounds on her hands…they are the injuries of two stakes pinning them to a wall and holding your whole body weight there. But my point is that Phoebe’s body isn’t one of a warlock. She won’t be able to fight the poison for so long. If we do nothing, she will die in one or two hours.” Patty finished quietly.

Meanwhile Phoebe had her eyes wide open but didn’t register where she was. She was too much in pain for that. Paige had tears in her eyes as she had to watch her baby letting out cries of pain. But then she saw Phoebe’s body going into convulsions. She immediately went behind her sister and leaned her back against her chest, her legs on either side of the girl, her one hand around her chest, the other on her hot forehead, pushing her head down to her shoulder.
“Shhhh Hang in there Phoebe you’ll be okay. Relax baby relax. It’s okay. You’re gonna be alright. You’re gonna be fine.” Paige said, her voice cracking as she held on tight to Phoebe so that she couldn’t hurt herself. “Prue Piper hurry!!!!” She screamed in direction of the attic.

Prue and Piper heard their older sister shout.
“Grams Mom we need to hurry! Please tell us, how can we save her?” Prue asked, her voice panic-stricken.
“Okay. First of all we have to get rid of the ghost. There is a potion Phoebe has to drink. It will kill anything possissing her body.” Patty said and soon the BOS opened itself on a page with a receip for a potion. Prue and Piper read it once, stormed into the kitchen and after a few minutes they came back with a green liquid in a small bottle.
“Okay we got it. So she just has to drink this?” Piper asked in a hurry.
“Yes. But if it doesn’t work, if she can’t swallow it, you can use a needle as well.” Grams said.
“You use syringes for potions?!..Ah never mind, let’s just hurry.” Prue said as she followed Piper to Paige’s room, grabbing a syringe from the bathroom on the way, just in case.
Paige and Phoebe were still in the same position, Phoebe’s body still convulsing. Now it even seemed that she was starting to choke.
“Shit Phoebe don’t do this!! Come on, breathe! Breathe!! Phoebe!!!” Paige had now tears trickling down her cheeks. “PRUE, PIPER!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!!”
Prue and Piper then stormed right into the room, first shocked at what they had to see but then quickly going on the bed next to their sisters.
“Okay Paige she has to drink this! Hold her down.” Prue instucted.
“Wait Prue she’s choking! What if she can’t swallow it!?” Piper said in a panicked voice.
“We have to try first!” With that, she poured some of the liquid into Phoebe’s mouth, trying not to spill too much. But just as they thought their sister had swallowed the potion, they saw Phoebe coughing up most of the potion again, ending up with even more choking.
“Damn!! Piper where’s the syringe?!”
“Right here!” Piper had alrady prepared the needle as she handed it to Prue.
“Okay Pheebs I know you hate needles but you just gotta go through this now.” Prue talked to Phoebe as she slowly pushed the needle into her arm, pushing the green liquid into her vein.

‘No no no no! What’s happening?! They can’t do this!! No not again this pain! AARRGGHH!!!’ He found himself floating above the girls again. He then spotted a woman next to him in the air.
‘Jackson Kelly. You will not escape again. I will take you to hell where you belong and let you receive your punishment.’ The soul collector said as she slowly lifted her hand.
‘NO! NO! AAARGH!’ Kelly’s figure turned into what looked like a fireball, his soul. The soul collector smiled and vanished to nothing.

“Okay now what?” Prue said, fear still evident in her voice.
“It’s okay Prue she’s calming down!” Paige said as she felt Phoebe relax in her arms, her breaths slowly turning back to normal though still fast, the convulsions subsiding.
“Oh baby you’re okay now! You’re alright!” Paige said as she held Phoebe tight to her, pressing her cheek on her little sister’s head. Soon they were in a group hug, the youngest in the middle.
“P..Paige? Prue..Piper…you…you saved me…it hurt so much..” She said while trying to suck in as much air as possible.
“I know honey, I know. But you’re okay now. We’re here. Nothing’s gonna happen to you anymore.” Prue said as she held Phoebe even closer.
“Did you guys ask Mom? Or Grams?” Paige asked while running a hand over Phoebe’s still clammy forehead. She was completely exhausted and was now just leaning against her oldest sister.
“Yeah we did. Actually they are still in the attic. I wonder if they can come down. Do ghosts use the stairs?” Piper said.
“I don’t know sweetie, and I don’t think they can come down.” Prue said smiling and playfully ruffling Piper’s hair.
“Wait…you..talked to Mom? And Grams? I…Can I see them..?” Phoebe asked weakly.
“Sure you can, sweetheart. Are you ok? I mean can you get up?” Piper asked.
“I’ll try.” Phoebe answered as she lifted herself up from Paige and stood up. But as she tried to step forward, she lost her balance and stumbled. But Paige was quick in catching her.
“Whoa easy there Pheebs, easy.” She let Phoebe lean against her.
“Okay honey hang on.” Piper said as she stepped in front of her little sister. “Now, up with you.” She said and felt Phoebe’s arms go around her neck. Within a second, Phoebe found herself on Piper’s back. Her head immediately found her big sister’s shoulder.
“Let’s go then.” Paige said as the four made their way to the attic.

“Mom? Grams?” Prue entered the attic.
“Prudence. How is Phoebe?”
“I’m ok Grams….Hi Mom.” Phoebe said still weakly as she spotted her mother and grandmother. Piper carried her right next to Patty and set her down.
“Oh my poor little baby girl! You must have been suffering so much. Are you okay?” Patty said as she held her youngest daughter tight to her.
“I am now.” Phoebe said as she took in the scent of her mother’s hair. A single tear trickled down her face. But then she remembered something and pulled back.
“Oh..God Mom! I…I killed those people! I…I’m a murderer! I killed innocents!” She started to cry.
“No Phoebe you’re not. Honey that wasn’t you.” Grams said as she stroked her granddaughter’s cheek.
“No Grams! Even if it wasn’t really me that killed them, it is still my fault that this…ghost was in my body and took control over me. It was the spirit board, wasn’t it?” She saw them nod. “Then it’s completely my fault! I shouldn’t have played with it, I should have thought about what consequences there could be!” She put her hands to her head and sank to the ground. Piper who was standing right nex to her quickly put her arms around her.
“Phoebe. I want you to listen. It is just recently that you became a witch. And this mistake that you killed the innocents should have never happened but with the small amount of experience you have, it is understandable that it did happen. We have been talking to Them.” She looked upwards, “And they agreed that we can cast a resetting spell on the murder victims and their surroundings, including people who know about their death. Now I know there are quite a lot of them since it was everywhere in the news. But that is okay. Anyway, let us handle this. We will just revive the victims and erase their memories. Everything will be fine.” Patty finished and stroked Phoebe’s cheek, wiping away the remaining tears.
“You do that quite a lot of times, hey?” Paige said with a small laugh.
“I’m sorry about what happened, Paige. I can never make this alright again.” Patty looked sadly at the oldest.
“No it’s okay Mom. I mean now everything is actually alright again. Thank you. And thank you for helping Phoebe.” She replied.
“Yeah thanks Mom. I thank you so much.” Phoebe said as she took her mother’s hand and kissed it.
“You are welcome my sweet girls. I’m here to do this.” Patty replied as she drew her daughter in a hug.
“Uh..Mom? What’s that all about with our ancestor’s enemies anyway? Why would they possess us so easily?” Prue asked.
“That’s easy to answer.” Grams looked at her granddaughters. “It’s revenge. He simply wanted to take revenge on Melinda Warren for making him suffer. And since Melinda herself doesn’t live anymore, what better way to do that then to make her descendants, her granddaughters suffer. That is exactly what he did to Phoebe. It was Kelly’s revenge.” Grams explained. She then saw Phoebe’s eyes half closed and chuckled. “Phoebe honey, you should go rest now. And besides, we have to go now anyway. Our duty here is done for now.” She then went over to Patty and took her hand.
“Thank you so much Grams. And Mom. We love you.” Paige said with a smile.
“And we love you too.” Patty smiled back. A light appeared and the two were gone again.
“She’ll always look out for us, won’t she?” Piper said.
“Yes. She’s always there for us, no matter what.” Prue said as she wiped away the single tear that had escaped.

It was three days ago that they saved Phoebe from dying. Now, as usual before dinner, they were all huddled up on the couch, Prue in the middle with Piper leaning against her and with Paige’s arm around her shoulder, Phoebe curled up on her lap.
“I’ll never be able to watch Stigmata again.” Phoebe said with a serious expression, making her sisters laugh.
“Now is that good or bad? And Phoebe, how many times do I have to tell you that this had nothing to to with Stigmata? Imagine Melinda had hit him somewhere else…” Prue stopped herself.
“Uh gross Prue!!!” The three sisters said in unison as they smacked Prue playfully.
“What? I didn’t say anything! It’s your imagination that is gross!” She laughed back. They were suddenly interrupted by the phone.
“I’ll get it.” Phoebe got up, ran to the phone and picked up. “Hello?”
“Phoebe? Hi! It’s Susan. Listen, me and Jane were cleaning our attic yesterday. And guess what we found. A spell book or something! Do you wanna come tomorrow to my place and try it?”
“NO! I mean no, I’ll pass. I still don’t feel too good and all. Say hi to Jane.”
“Oh okay. Hope you feel better soon. See you then. Bye!”
“Thanks, bye.” She hung up the phone with a laugh.
“Pheebs who was that?” She heard Paige call from the living room.
“Just Susan. She asked me if I wanted to try out some spells with her.” She said as she sat back on Prue’s lap.
“And? Will you?” Piper asked.
“No! Oh man are you kidding?! I’m never gonna touch anything that has to do with wicca when it’s just for fun!” Phoebe said in a shocked voice. The older Halliwells laughed at this.
“Well I guess you learned your lesson, hey?” Prue said.
“Oh yes. I won’t be any trouble anymore.” Phoebe replied. The sisters sat there in shock for a second before bursting out laughing.
For now, everything was fine again, thanks to their mother and grandmother, the caring ones that would never leave their sides. For now, the world was in peace for the sisters. For now.

End. Hope you enjoyed!
