Authors note…Please read....
A little over six years ago I stumbled on to this website called CFS, Charmed Fiction Site. It was great. Had some really great stories by some wonderfully talented Authors. We were half way into season two of the show we all love to watch and read about. Then as we entered into the new Millennium I was sitting here one day thinking. I could do that…. I think. So I started to write my first ever fan fiction. Snoopy inspired my title, A Dark and Stormy Night.
I was surprised to say the least that it was so well taken to. And I was having fun penning it. But as it drew closed I found myself writing a sequel Imprisonment and then I had to tie them all together with Meeting the Master. Before you read this, I would recommend reading the above mentioned, first trilogy, It will help fill in the blanks as you read.
I found myself enjoying the art that I could create and for everyone to enjoy. I have penned shorts Missing scene, sagas and trilogies. Some have touched me personally and helped me grow and move through trying times of my life.
But as I sit here now I wanted to make this one special, different. Probably why yuou are getting it all at once. No cliffies or parts a days. This fic is my 200th Fan fiction. Six years and 200 stories I still seem to find a new depth of what I want to say and do. Though admittedly it is getting harder. After that many who can blame me. .
In my journey of writing I have met some wonderful people. Some dear friends some acquaintances. But all of you are dear to me.
I give you all now my 200th fiction. Six years after I started down this journey. I dedicated this to all of you. For it is you, the FAN of anyone’s stories, that keeps us all writing.
Stay Charmed

Prue walked down the stairs and turned to her left through the dining room towards the kitchen. Finding Piper preparing lunch as she usually was at that time of day.
“Hey you.” Prue greeted Piper as she reached for an orange.
“Hi. I thought you went out for a bit?”
“I did and now I’m back. Where’s Phoebe?” Prue inquired knowing that Phoeb was never far when Piper was working on food in the kitchen
“Living room last time I saw her.”
“Let me guess starring at the Christmas tree all sad because it’s all over.” Prue laughed as she peeled orange rind from the Mandarin orange.
“Probably you know her. I would actually be more surprised if she was even still awake.”
Breaking off a part of the orange Prue agreed with her sister, “she was pretty wiped this morning wasn’t she?”
“Well she only barely made it home from San Diego last night, and she told me before she went to bed she had been up since 6AM.”
“Then home, dinner, then over to Dads. Poor kids worn out.” She reached across the kitchen table and pulled her camera from her camera bag.
“Prue you wouldn’t?” Piper almost laughed knowing full well what her oldest sister was up to.
“Its Christmas Piper…Of course I would. Besides she always takes the cutest pictures when she is sleeping.”
Piper couldn’t help but laugh; she knew Prue was right. “She will get you one day Prue bet on it.”
Prue walked quietly in the living room spotting her baby sister curled up on the sofa. Snapping off a few pictures she sat in the chair across from Phoebe, content for that moment to watch her sister sleep.
Paige ran up the steps to the Victoria Manor she shared with her sisters. She looked back nearly five years before when she stayed all day at her Aunt and Uncles for Christmas. Now she was sharing the time with her sisters. Opening the front door and closed it quickly behind her to not let in the California winter air.
“Anyone? I’m back.” She called out to the quiet Manor.
“Ssshhh.” Piper appeared from the dining room having heard the door open.
“Its Christmas why are we Ssshh’n?” Paige shrugged of her jacket as she looked at Piper, who had taken her arm and led her to the front room.
“That’s why.”
Paige smiled at seeing Prue curled up in the chair sleeping. “Phoebe?”
“Upstairs watching a Christmas carol I think. She took a picture, but it seems fair Prue took one of her earlier.”
“I miss this.”
“Paige.”
“No its ok Piper. Its just I see you three now on special days likes this and see what I missed all those years. I’m glad I found you three. Makes my Christmas’ all that much more special now.”
Piper wrapped her arms around Paige, “Mine too. Get Phoebe for lunch?”
“Sure.” Paige gladly returned the hug before making her way up the stairs. “Oh and Aunt Laura and Uncle Dave are expecting us at around 630 tonight.”
“Paige.” Was about to protest once again for intruding on Paige’s other family at Christmas.
“Piper they insists the four of us, Leo and your Dad.” She continued up the stairs leaving no further room for discussion.
Paige stood outside Phoebe’s door watching both her sister and the classic movie.
“You know I don’t think that movie would have ever been the same without Alistair Sims.” She spoke as she sat down.
“Hey you. How’s the family?” Phoebe briefly took her eyes off the screen to see Paige walk in
“Good.” Paige shifted on the bed beside Phoebe watching as Scrooge nearly ran into the Ghost of Christmas yet to come. “Heard you were taking up a photography career while I was gone?”
Phoebe laughed as she leaned against Paige, “Yeah well I know for a fact there are a few pictures on the film of me sleeping, always is. So I figured payback. When’s dinner?”
“6:30. Piper said lunch is ready.”
“Yeah after this.” Phoebe replied saying no more as she watched the film with her baby sister.
Later that night the four sisters made their way up the stairs to their Victorian Manor.
“Oh I’m soooo tired. “Phoebe remarked as she started for the couch. Having just returned from having dinner with Paige’s other family
“Gee Phoebe I wonder why.” Piper laughed as she followed her sister through the door as she held on to Leo’s hand.
“Busy day with Santa and all.” She protested as she leaned into Prue’s arm around her shoulder.
Leo stayed standing, “Nightcap anyone?”
Taking drink orders for the sisters he turned and smiled as Phoebe curled up beside Prue, Piper in the seat she would soon share with him and Paige sat in front of the low burning fire. Everything as it should be he smiled to himself getting the drinks.
Prue wrapped her arms around her little sister, “You shouldn’t be sitting here. You’ll fall asleep.”
Phoebe didn’t move. She just held her eyes closed taking in the love her sister. “Yeah but you can use your powers to get me to bed safely.” Phoebe snuggled in closer to her big sister
“I still can’t believe you did that 8hr drive all at once, especially after doing that photo shoot for work. You should have left on the Thursday.” Prue said looking down as Phoebe seem to fight staying awake. “You going to get to drink that drink Phoebs?”
“Yeah.” Phoebe replied shifting just enough when Leo brought in the drinks.
“To us and many more Christmas’ together.” Prue said as she raised her glass, clinking it with Phoebes as Piper, Paige and Leo clinked theirs across the room.
~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
They watched with anticipation as everyone in P3 started yelling.
“10….9….8….7….6….5….4….3….2…HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!”
Piper leaned up and felt Leo’s lips brush against hers as they brought in the New Year together.
Prue looked out on the dance floor and could see Paige and Henry doing the same thing. She reached over and pulled Phoebe into her arms placing a kiss on her cheek, “Happy New Year Phoebe.”
“You too Prue.” Giving her sister a kiss as well. She leaned back before being engulfed in a sister group hug at their alcove.
~~ ~~
Phoebe rolled over to meet the gaze of her oldest sister
“Happy New Year sleepy.” Prue smiled at her younger sister from her place on the window seat
“I’m, not sleepy.”
Prue got up and sat down next to Phoebe, “right that is why you are still in bed at one in the afternoon.”
Moving over slightly Phoebe rested her head on Prue’s lap. “Ok maybe a little bit. But you were the one that dragged me home after two. And on top the week I had, I guess I needed it.”
“And that is why I didn’t wake you sweetie. So come on up you get. Shower; you and I are going to lunch.” Prue leaned down and gave her sister a quick kiss before getting off the bed.
“Um Prue. Us? What about Piper and Paige?” Phoebe asked innocently. Not that she didn’t want to spend time with Prue, everything in the last 8yrs had been amazing between them, ever since she found the book.
“Well if they had come home last night I’d offer them as well but they didn’t, so hurry up I’m starving.” With that she turned and walked out of her sisters room leaving her still slightly confused
Prue looked across at Phoebe as she got out of the SUV. She could see a sadness in her sisters’ face and eyes. Eyes especially that told her everything. Making her way around the vehicle she ran her arm through Phoebe linking them as one, “you ok?”
“Yeah I guess. I just can’t believe they forgot.”
“Oh sweetie.
“What Prue? Paige I can understand but not Piper. We’ve been coming to McMorrans on New Years for lunch ever since I can remember.” Phoebe turned to her sister, “And I can remember pretty far back.”
“We’ve been doing it since you where three.” Prue added in the missing information.
“See.” Phoebe leaned her head on Prue’s shoulder a minute as they walked in the restaurant, “I just thought Piper would have been here, not off somewhere in the clouds with Leo.”
“She isn’t.”
Phoebe felt the arms wrap around her upper body and the gentle kiss on her cheek, “Happy New Year Phoebe.”
“Hey don’t forget me.” Paige added in as she walked in the side door.
Piper looked at Prue and then to Phoebe, “You didn’t think I’d forget did you. We always do this. Though this year you almost made it dinner.”
“Never.” Phoebe laughed as she hugged both her older and youngest sister.
As the four sat down and waited for lunch to come Phoebe turned her attention to her little sister… “Sooo Paige. Where did you and Henry end up last night?”
“Never tell sis.” Paige gave all her sisters a knowing smile
Piper placed an arm over Paige’s shoulders, “Don’t you worry honey. She’s just jealous. We all know where you were.”
“Looks who’s talking Piper.” Prue laughed just as the food came, preventing Prue or another sister from making love in the cloud remarks.
They ate their lunch and chatted about the past year and things going on in each sisters life.
Prue leaned back and listened, as Piper was telling them of the latest magic Wyatt was starting to play with, keeping her and Leo constantly on their toes. She smiled at how lucky she was to have three sisters as wonderful as they were. She was glad that Leo was able to regain his status as a Whitelighter after everything he had been through in trying to save his sons. And how luck she herself was to still be here to enjoy it all, knowing how close she had truly come to death.
Paige pushed her plate before her and put her napkin down on top of it, “That was amazing guys but.”
“But.” Piper looked at Paige almost as disappointed as Phoebe had been thinking they were going to miss lunch.
“But, Henry promised me a day at Metreon downtown.”
“Get out really.” Phoebe picked up knowing the fun her sister was going to have at one of the amusement hotspots in the city.
“Really and NO you can’t come.” She got up from the table fishing out her wallet.
“This ones on me Paige; use your money to have a good time.” Prue said as she saw Paige hesitate, “Get out of here before I change my mind and you’re buying the lot.” She laughed as Paige made her way around the table and gave her older sister a hug and kiss.
“Thanks Prue you’re the best.
“HEY!” Piper and Phoebe both swatted out at her as she left the table giving them both kisses through the air, “Love you two.”
“She’s cheekier then Phoebe was.” Piper laughed as Phoebe gave her a glare.
“Is not. And what is with you just buying her lunch Prue?”
“Yeah Prue?” Piper joined in though she knew full well that Prue would buy theirs as well, she always did.
“Stop it you two, I’m buying yours too.” Prue pulled Phoebe into her right arm and Piper in her left. “Come let’s get out of here.”
~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
Paige walked down the beach as Henry held on to her hand. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been so happy.
“What you thinking about?” he looked over at her seeing her in thought somewhere.
“Nothing really. Maybe this past holiday season.”
“Why’s that?”
“Some times I have to pinch myself to see what a great family I have. One that I missed out on so much but now its like I was never gone.”
Henry saw the happiness in her eyes, “Probably because you know that your sisters love you.”
“I know that’s what it is.” She stopped and looked out over the waves cresting against the sand and over he bare feet.
“But?” he could see there was more to her story.
“But. Lately we barely see each other. Prue is always on an assignment somewhere in the city or over night outside. Piper is at the club booking the next big band or dealing with the one playing that night. I can’t remember the last time I saw Phoebe away from her desk, at the paper. And I’m just as much at fault.” She didn’t even want to start to get into their ‘other’ work.
“So stop.” He suggested
“Stop? Stop what?” Paige looked at him curious.
“Stop what ever it is you four are all doing and take some time for yourselves. I mean Piper owns the club right and I am sure in her absence Leo could take care of it, hell I’ll even help him. Prue could get time off work and so could Phoebe, all she would have to do is right a bunch of letters in advance.”
“We can’t just stop our lives Henry.”
“Why not? Your lives are stopping you four from being sisters. You have a lot of time to catch up on. Go out there for a week and have some FUN be crazy for once.” He turned her to face him and placed his arms around her waist pulling her towards him. “The four of you need some time together Paige. You’ve pretty much said it yourself in not so many words. Think of something, tell them. What have you got to lose?”
She wanted to protest but she knew he was right. Even demon fighting they seemed to be slightly off key. “Maybe your right.”
He placed a soft kiss on her lips, “I always am.” He took her hand, “Come on I’ll take you home.
~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
Piper walked into the attic to find Prue sitting with the BOS across her legs. “What are you doing?” She asked as she sat across from her sister.
“Nothing.” Prue didn’t even look up at Piper.
“Then why are you looking in the book. Prue we have been demon free all through the holidays and then some. Don’t go jinxing us now.”
“I’m not jinxing us Piper don’t be ridiculous. I’m just looking.”
“No reason?”
“No reason.” Prue looked up at Piper and could see a line of worry across her face. “I’m sorry. Piper I am just looking. Be more prepared in case. I mean it can’t be just Phoebe who knows this thing.”
“Paige is getting the hang of it pretty good.”
“I know but what if something happened when they weren’t here. Like now?”
Piper held her finger up to warn Prue, “Don’t”
Prue gave her sister a mocking smile while holding up her hands in defeat. “I’m just saying Piper. Forewarned is forearmed and we can’t always rely on our little sisters to bail out our sorry asses.”
Piper knew Prue was right. She just didn’t want to think of a situation where neither Phoebe nor Paige would be there to help.
“Just don’t go looking for anything.” She got up and started for the door before turning around, “Especially now.”
Prue looked up at Piper at first wondering what she was talking about until she remember five years ago, or was it six?
“I won’t.”
She watched as Piper walked out of the attic as she leaned back and recalled a not so pleasant times in their lives. I time when her family was in trouble of falling to pieces and there was nothing she could do: she couldn’t protect them.
Phoebe walked in the attic finding her oldest sister lost in thought.
“Hey you.”
Prue looked up and grabbed Phoebe’s hand, pulling her to her lap and wrapping her arms around her baby sister.
“Ok what did I do to deserve this?” Phoebe eyed her sister cautiously, but made no effort to move.
“Can’t I give my baby sister a hug?”
“Yeah….But what’s going on?”
“Nothing. Just felt like a little us time.” Prue gave Phoebe a squeeze as she felt her sister relax into her arms.
Phoebe rested her head on Prue’s shoulder wondering what brought on the sudden case of affection, not that she minded.
“So what’s really going on?”
“I just missed having you around. Other then this past week that you’ve been home for the holidays I haven’t seen much of you.” It wasn’t a complete lie. She hadn’t seen much of Phoebe, or any of her sisters for that matter. And she knew she was just as much to blame as anyone.
“Well I could say the same.” Phoebe agreed. “Prue what happened? I mean one day we are just three sister going through the growing pains of life. Always under each other’s feet. Then BOOM I find the book and we start fighting demons on a daily basis. A few years later our professional lives take off, and we find a new sister. When was the last time we had a sister day?”
“I don’t know. To both questions sweetie. But.” Prue tightened her grip on Phoebe as she stood up, “What say we have one today? I mean we already started with lunch.”
Phoebe leaned into her sister as they made their way downstairs, “Sure why not. Can I borrow you truck to get a movie?”
“Or two? Sure. Just NOT Kill it Before it Dies.” Prue found the spot on her sisters’ ribs that always made her laugh.
“PRUE!” Phoebe tried to squirm away but her sister had a solid arm around her. “Ok ok I promise.”
Piper heard the commotion coming through the living room, “What are you promising Phoebs?” Though seeing her sisters still laughing had to smile. She often wondered if she would ever see the day where Prue and Phoebe would be so close.
“She is promising to not get her favourite movie for a sister night tonight.” Prue answered as Phoebe finally broke away from her.
“Well maybe not THAT favourite movie.” She quickly grabbed Prue’s car keys and out the back door.
“Oh you.” Prue called after her but her sister was gone.
Phoebe was getting into Prue’s truck when Paige pulled against the curb, “Hey you come on get in.”
Paige looked at Phoebe before making her way to the truck, “Where we going?”
“Movie store. Sister night.”
“Sweet. It’s been a while since we did that.” Paige closed the door and pulled the seatbelt around her.
“Here how about this one?” Phoeb held up a movie cover to shoe Paige across the other side of the aisle.
“Scream are you kidding me. You see how that girls dies in that garage door? Ewww. NO.” Paige leaned forward, “Don’t you get enough scary stuff in your daily life to want to watch it on the TV?”
“This is funny though. It isn’t real.” Phoebe put the movie back as they continued their search.
Having made their selection they started back to the car Phoeb with her arm though Paige’s.
Driving back towards home they both laughed and sang to the music on the radio.
“Prue is going to kill you when she sees the movie you got.”
“She’ll get over it. Its Piper I’m worried about. She never did do horrors all that….”
“PHOEBE LOOK OUT!” Paige grabbed the wheel but it was to late.
People ran around the car as someone else called 911.
Prue and Piper ran down the corridor in search of their sisters. The voice on the phone made it sound not too serious but until they saw them for sure they would stay worried.
“Halliwell.”
‘Here. How are our sisters?” Prue asked before the young doctor had a chance to say anymore.
“They are both suffered a few bumps and bruise. Paige has a slight fracture in her wrist and Phoebe broke hers, which we are just setting in a cast now.”
“That isn’t exactly fine Doc.” Piper spoke as she felt Prue's anger beside her.
“It isn’t anything serious. They should heal in a few weeks.” He handed them a small piece of paper, “Pain meds I am sure they will both need in an hour or two. Just make sure they get plenty of rest for a few days and they’ll be good as new.” He looked down at his pager as it went off silently, “Make appointments for the two of them in a few weeks to get their casts off.” And then he took his leave of the two worrying sisters.
“This is not happening again?” Piper stated as she felt her heart beat faster in her chest.
“They are both fine Piper.”
“You don’t know that Prue. Look at what happened before. We nearly lost her.”
Prue was as worried as Piper was but she was trying to stay strong. It was then that Paige walked around the corner. Getting them both to draw their attention to her.
Piper immediately wrapped her arms gently around her sister, “You ok?”
“Oh yeah.” She looked at Prue, “Send the repair bill to the demons Prue. One threw an energy stream at us. I saw it but it was to late.”
Piper looked at Prue and slapped her arm.
“Oww. What the hell was that for?” Prue grabbed hold of her arm where her sister hit her
“Jinxed us. I told you” Was all Piper got out as Phoebe walked carefully through the doorway.
Prue made her way to her baby sister, “Oh baby. Come one lets get you two home.”
“Stupid demon. Can’t even have a sister day.” Phoebe whined as she leaned against Prue
“Well you and Paige got one in the ER.” Piper chuckled as they exited the hospital
~~ ~~
Paige reached down and placed her glass back on the table. She looked over at each of her sisters enjoying the time she got to spend with them. She knew Phoebe was going back to work the next day she just hoped she could convince her driven older sisters to take some time off. She also knew that there seemed to be a tension in the Manor the last few days. It was like Prue and Piper were sitting on eggshells and Phoebe feared something was going to happen. Like she got when she got a premonition. She knew something was going to happen she just couldn’t pin exactly when.
“Um guys I was thinking.” Paige picked up her glass again turning it by its stem almost for encouragement but more for just nerves.
“Ouch. Sis you shouldn’t do that.” Prue laughed as she then saw the seriousness on Paige’s face. “Paige what is it sweetie?”
“Well its just nice. This. Well minus the cast and car accident bit.”
“Yeah I think we all could have used non of that much excitement.” Phoebe added in.
“This?” Piper looked at Paige from her place next to Leo.
“Us together like this. It just seems that lately we’ve all been super busy. And..”
“You don’t see us much?” Prue finished.
“Yeah. Its silly I know but I missed out on so much with you three when I was growing up.”
Piper looked over at Paige, “And now that you found us you are still missing out.” She knew where Paige was coming from she herself had missed her sisters around. Prue and Phoebe were both dedicated to their jobs. Not to mention herself.
“Paige I think I can speak for all of us that we missed you as well. If we had maybe known about you earlier we would have got you back in ours lives sooner then five years ago.” Prue got up from her place beside Phoebe and sat down next to Paige taking her youngest sister in her arms. “And anytime you want a sister night you just let us know. It’s a rule around her. Sister nights can be called by anyone anytime.”
Paige leaned into the embraces she was getting from Prue, “What about sister holidays?”
“Holiday?” Piper looked from Phoebe to Prue and Paige.
“I was just thinking we could all go somewhere. To have a few days of just us.”
“I like it.” Phoebe was the first to agree. “I can get time off work. God knows I need it even with the Christmas break.”
Prue cast a glance to Phoebe then over to Piper, “I can probably get time. How about you?”
“I can get Leo to cover the club honey.”
Paige looked at all three of her sisters.” Really. You guys would take the time of work just like that?”
“Sure why not. It’d be like skipping school only now were older.” Phoebe laughed but caught the look that both Prue and Piper were giving her, “OK though it’s with permission. I’ll call Elise in the Morning get a few columns done and I’m free.”
“And I’ll call Mr. Coroso.” Prue out in as they all agree this was what they needed
Paige felt herself leaning back more into Prue's arms. She couldn’t be happier then she was right then. She always knew she belonged with the three of them but now it was seemingly final. She really did have a family.
“Now if we can only get the Source to leave us alone long enough to have a sister week.” Prue commented as she felt Paige relax against her knowing her youngest sister would soon be sleeping.
“Prue don’t you start again.” Piper glared over at Prue hoping that she wasn’t about to jinx them again.
Prue stuck her tongue out at Piper letting her now the oldest didn’t believe in jinx’s. “Besides Phoebe figured out the spell to vanquish him.”
“Well we don’t need to go and test it out any time soon.”
~~ ~~
Prue looked in the back seat as Phoebe and Paige played out a hand of cards. She gave a smile and turned back to the road before her. Piper having seen Prue's rearview mirror glance cast a look over her shoulder. “I miss this or what this could have been. “
“What’s that?” Prue looked over at Piper
“What it would have been if Paige had grown up with us?”
Prue looked back again seeing and hearing her two baby sisters laughing about something. “I think those two would have been two peas in the pod.”
“Driving you mad.” Piper laughed knowing from what Paige had told her of the teen years she had, very much like Phoebes.
“Exactly. But this is a great idea. And I think its something we all needed. Not just together but a holiday away from work and demons.’
Piper reached across and smacked Prue in the arm, “Don’t say the ‘D’ word: you’ll jinx us.”
It had been a few days since the accident with Phoebe and Paige. Both no longer as stiff and sore as they had been but each one still darning their casts.
Piper walked out of the bathroom late that night to find Phoebe standing at the window looking outside. Walking up behind her she gently wrapped her arms around her sisters waist drawing her closer.
“Thought you were sleeping.”
“No. I woke up.”
“I see. Any reason why?” Piper rested her chin on her sisters’ shoulder waiting for an answer.
Phoebe didn’t say anything as she took a step out to the balcony, taking her sister with her. Looking up to the sky she saw every star imaginable.
“Just some old demons. You know.”
Piper did know. It was something they had struggled with and had hoped was behind them. But ever now and then there it was again; threatening to pull them all apart.
“You ok?”
“I’m not sure.” Phoebe leaned back into her sisters’ love that had been there her entire life. “It seems so real at times. And other times it’s like a nightmare.”
“Well like before we’ll all get through this.”
“I know.”
Piper moved around by Phoebe and placed a kiss on her cheek, “Come on let’s get back to bed. Busy day tomorrow.” She took her sisters hand and guided her back into the hotel room.
Phoebe started for her own bed when she felt Pipers grip tighten and her older sister pulled her down with her. She didn’t protest as for right then she needed that more then anything.
It was there the next morning that Prue and Paige found the two of them Pipers arms securely wrapped around Phoebe, as if protecting her from a hidden evil.
Prue guided Paige towards the door, “Lets get some breakfast and bring some up for them.”
Paige didn’t argue as she opened the door to the hotel room and waited for Prue to follow after her.
“What’s up?” Paige asked wondering that maybe Prue knew something she hadn’t picked up on
“I’d say Phoebe had a nightmare.”
“You don’t think it was a premonition do you?” Paige asked worried that their little time away would become demonic battle. “Maybe she got her powers back.”
“No they would have woken us if it was. Its either nightmare or she is jut upset about something. Because I know she was looking forward to this as much as the rest of us.” She tucked her arm through Paige’s as they waited at the elevator.
Phoebe rolled over to look up to Pipers caring eyes.
“Morning.”
“Hey. I thought you were going to sleep all day.” Piper laughed knowing that today was one day Phoebe would get up early.
“Nope. Not today.” She looked around expecting to see the rest of her family, “Where’s Prue and Paige?”
“Getting breakfast I’d gather. They were both gone when I woke up.” Piper moved around and pulled Phoebe into her arms. “How you doing?”
“Alright I guess. A day of fun will help.” Phoebe leaned against Piper smiling.
“I bet.” She tightened her grip on her younger sister jut as the door opened.
Prue walked in the room followed by Paige, both carrying a tray with muffins and coffee.
“Well look at this Paige. Seems our middle sisters have decided to join us for the day after all.”
“Dang and here I was hoping I would get to eat these cinnamon rolls myself.” Paige joked after her sisters as she set the tray down.
“You two are a barrel of laughs.” Piper glared up at Prue who was casting her eyes to the youngest.
“Phoebs you ok?” she asked with concern. There was something about the look Phoebe had on her face that was bothering Prue
Phoebe looked up at Prue, “Yeah. Lets get some caffeine, shower and get this day going.” She pulled herself from Pipers grasp before giving her a quick kiss. Grabbing her coffee she started for the shower.
Prue looked at Piper, “What’s going on?”
“I’m not sure, other then old demons. I woke up to go to the bathroom around 2 and I came out to find her standing at the window looking lost.”
Prue turned slightly to the sound of water running in the bathroom. “To close to them I’m guessing. We’ll just need to step up the fun meter today and the next few.”
~~ ~~
The four of them stepped through the gates almost as one. Looking around at the smiling faces of children young and old everywhere.
“Well guys. Where to first?” Prue asked though almost knowing where Phoebe and Paige would soon be dragging them off too.
“No way.”
“Come Prue we’re here for FUN!” Phoebe protested as she pulled Prue along the line.
“Ok but you are coming on one with me.”
“Fine lets go last car.”
“WHAT NO WAY!” Prue tried to pull from her sisters’ grip as Piper and Paige laughed behind them. “Oh you think is so funny. You go with her back there.”
“Nope I did last time. Your turn sis.” Piper continued to laugh as her and Paige got into the car in front of them.
The roller coaster ripped around the corner flicking the occupants of the last car. Up and over another hill once again the last car feeling the weight of the rest of the roller coaster before it as it ripped it from the top of the hill following after it careening around another corner.
With each whip and jerk Prue hung on to Phoebe tight with her eyes closed. She could hear Phoebe screaming along with Paige. And knew that Piper was maybe looking but also had a firm grip on the younger sister riding with her.
Stepping from the ride both Phoebe and Paige started to go around to the line again only to be both pulled back by their sisters.
“No way. Not again.” Prue said as she started through the park.
“But Pwue.” Both Phoebe and Paige whined as Prue pulled them both further away.
“If you two want to go so bad again. Go with each other when Piper and I are off somewhere else.”
Phoebe took Paige’s arm in hers and pulled her towards her, “Well make an escape attempt later.”
“Got it.”
Later that afternoon saw the four sisters split up. Prue and Phoebe had gone one way as Piper and Paige went another. Sitting in the slow moving ride as the cool wind brushed against them Paige felt a shiver, “Did you feel that?”
“You aren’t scaring me Paige. I’ve been fighting demons to long to get scared but anything you may try in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.”
“No I felt a cold chill. And I noticed it earlier when we were moving through the house.”
Piper looked at her baby sister. She wanted to laugh as Paige tried to get her to rise to the obvious bait she was hanging out.
“Piper I’m not kidding. I know all these ghosts around here are Disney’s magic and not ours. But there have been some that I felt were glaring right through me.”
“I think it’s suppose to be like that Paige, that is why it’s called the Haunted Mansion.” She took her sisters hand and led her away from the mansion back into the California sun. “Lets go find out where Prue and Phoebe went.”
“Probably for food knowing Phoebe.” Paige put in as they made their way through New Orleans Square in search of the other two sisters.
“Hey you two.” Paige sat down beside Prue as Piper sat in by Phoebe.
“Hey Prue you don’t look so great. You ok?” Piper asked looking across at her oldest sister. “What you do to her Phoebs?”
“Tea cup.” Phoebe answered still holding her own gaze on her big sister.
“Someone thought it would be fun to see how fast she could spin it.”
Phoebe reached over and took Prue’s hand in hers, “I said I was sorry.”
“Phoebe how fast did you make it go?” Paige asked looking between her two sisters.
“Really fast. I had to help her from the ride.”
“It’s ok Phoebe, I could have stopped you.” Prue gave her sister a slight squeeze. “How about you two?”
“Paige thinks she saw a ghost in the Haunted Mansion.” Piper quickly said drawing both sisters attention.
“A WHAT!?”
“Phoebe.” Prue looked at Phoebe and tighten her hold on her hand. The last thing they needed was to draw any attention to themselves.
“Look guys, it was nothing I assured her it was just the ride.” Piper added in.
“See I don’t think so, what I felt was real. I’ve been on that ride a thousand times when I was a kid, a NORMAL kid. But some of those ghost were looking straight threw me, and you Piper.”
Phoebe reached over with her free hand and placed it over top of Paige’s, “Sweetie we are here to have fun not go looking for ‘work’. Besides even if it was real the book is at home. We can’t go in there and vanquish them.”
“Well shouldn’t we at least look in to it? I mean that is what we do right?”
The three older Halliwell’s cast glances between each other.
“It’s late, why not call it a day have dinner somewhere nice have fun dancing at that cool nightclub at the hotel and forget about ghosts until tomorrow? Then we all go check it out. For Paige’s peace of mind.” Phoebe suggested as she looked at Prue and Piper for back up.
Prue and Piper shared a amused look, “When did she get all the idea smarts?” Piper laughed.
“Guess we’re wearing off on her.” Prue laughed as got to her feet.
Piper placed an arm over Phoebe shoulder and pulled her close, “Sounds like an excellent idea Phoebs.” Piper looked up at Paige. “Ok?”
Looking at each sister. They had been fighting demons and other forms of ghostly evils for three years more then her and she trusted their instincts as much as her own. “Ok.”
“Ok. Come on I’m starving.” Phoebe got up and started for the nearest restaurant, with her three sisters laughing and shaking their heads at her.

The night was quiet as each sister slept, each but one. But as she even sat quietly looking out to the clear sky she looked over her shoulder, wondering when she would no longer sit alone.
Prue tossed once more pulling herself from a nightmare that had been continuous for the last few weeks. She suddenly sat up and could feel the cool air on her damp skin. Closing her eyes she took in a deep breath only to feel someone watching her. Looking around, adjusting her eyes she could see her sister sitting on their balcony looking at her but not saying a word. Pulling back the covers she wrapped her robe around her and made her way outside, settling in behind Paige as the youngest pulled her blanket around the two of them.
“You ok sis?” Prue looked at Paige.
“Was going to ask you the same thing.”
Prue drew Paige closer following her gaze up to the sky. “Bad dream.”
“Yeah.” Paige had a feeling there was more to it than just a bad dream. It was something she had been suspecting since just after Christmas. That maybe her sisters were hiding something from her.
“I used to look up at the sky and the stars when I was younger. I always used to think it was Mum up there watching over me.” She closed her eyes as if to push back a sudden memory, “I still do.”
Paige didn’t say anything as she felt Prue shift behind her, “I used to do that too. Wondering if my real parents where somewhere out there. Maybe one day finding them. See if I was like Mum.”
“I think you are. From what I remember.” She almost added the last part with a hint of sadness. “You’re lucky in some ways Paige. You remember a mother that loved you. Someone that was always there for you. I’ve got memories, as does Piper, though not as many. Phoebe doesn’t have anything.”
“Guess that is why we both get excited when she stops by.”
Prue hugged Paige, “I guess so.”
A silence sat between the two sisters. Each one trying to build on a bound that should have been there more then 25yrs before.
Paige then decided to tread on what she thought might be uncertain ground. “You want to talk about your bad dream?”
She waited for an answer, but upon receiving no answer she looked up at Prue. Her eyes closed and her breathing steady. She pulled the blanket further around them as she closed her own eyes and snuggled against her big sister, wondering what the morning would bring.
Phoebe rolled over and felt the weight on the edge of her bed but her eyes cast further than that outside, “Does this mean its our turn to get breakfast?” she asked Piper b
