Piper was sitting in the sunroom enjoying her coffee and thinking about the last few days. She had come so close to losing her sisters’. And losing herself, if it hadn’t been for Leo. I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost either one of them she thought.

“Penny for your thoughts”
Piper turned at the sound of Prues voice. “Morning. I was just thinking, nothing to serious.”
Sitting beside Piper Prue reached over and took her free hand. “Piper, this is me you’re talking to. What’s up?”
Piper was quiet for a minute then she looked Prue right in the eyes. “I was just thinking of when you and Phoebe were in that prison.” She turned away from Prues eyes and looked back out the window. “I was so scared that I would lose you guys.”
Prue wrapped an arm around Piper. “Oh honey, we’re not going anywhere. You’re stuck with us. And if it helps any, I was also scared. Of losing Phoebe and not seeing you again. But we’re past that now, right now we have to help Phoebe deal with this whole surgery thing today.”
“Thanx Prue.”
“You’re welcome.” She stood up and headed for the kitchen.

Seeing her sister standing by the counter stirring her coffee lost in thought.
“Hey Prue can I ask you something?” Piper asked sitting at the table looking to her sisters’ back
“Sure.” She answered but didn’t turn around.
“I noticed that you slept with Phoebe again last night. Was that for her benefit or yours?”
Prue didn’t say anything at first; she just starred down at the swirls of her coffee.
“Prue?”
“Both I think.” She said very softly.
Piper got up and walked to her big sister placing her arm around her shoulders. Prue just turned to Piper and embraced her in a hug that Piper gladly returned.
“I couldn’t protect her Piper.” She cried out softly
“She knows that you did every thing you could under the circumstances Prue.”
“I just want to be there for her now.”
“And you are. Now are we going to stand in the kitchen all day or are we going to go up there and wake up our little sister so she can get her knee fixed?”
“I’ll take her, you have inventory at the club.”
“Prue that can wait, I want to come too.”
“Piper all we’re going to be doing is sitting in the waiting room. Go to the club and I’ll call you as soon as she wakes up. Besides she’s going to be home tonight, it’s only day surgery.”
“Ok but in that case I’m driving you and then I can come pick you up.”
“Ok deal. God sometimes I think you’re more stubborn then Pheebs and I put together.” She started for the stairs to get Phoebe ready.
“Yeah well I learned from the best” Piper called after her with a chuckle.

Walking into Phoebes room Prue had to try and not laugh at her baby sister. She had somehow managed to get all the covers wrapped around her and was now sleeping cross wise on the bed with her head hanging over slightly. She had somehow however, managed to keep her right leg still on the pillow that supported her knee. How does she do that? Prue thought. She sat up at the top of the bed leaning against the headboard, just watching Phoebe sleep. ‘Oh my baby girl, what would I have done if anything had happened to you in there. It was bad enough when I heard you scream. I felt so helpless. I promise to never let that happen again.’ Prue th
