Phoebes Power of Sight

Background:
The story opens at Halliwell Manor. There have been no recent warlock or demon sightings and everyone seems to be leading a normal, quiet life for once. Piper has chosen Leo over Dan as the man whom she wants to be with. Prue has been going to various job interviews in hopes of changing careers. Phoebe is doing well in school and taking on more responsibility. Both Prue and Piper are very proud of her, however, they are also worried. For the past few weeks, Phoebe has been very quiet and withdrawn. She has been having very vivid premonitions unlike anything she has ever experienced before. Sometimes she would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, screaming. She hasn’t had a good night sleep in almost two weeks. When Phoebe is not in class, she is volunteering at Bayridge convalescent home, working as Assistant Manager at the campus bookstore, or helping Piper at P3 when her sister is short handed. Prue and Piper both know that something is wrong with their little sister; however, they think it might just be exhaustion. Little do they know there’s more going on than they could ever imagine. There is a warlock lurking somewhere and right now his target is Phoebe.

Halliwell Manor:
(Piper is in the kitchen making breakfast for her and her sisters when Prue comes in ready for her next interview.)

Prue: “Good morning sis.” (Grabs a mug for coffee)

Piper: “Morning Prue. You have another interview today?

Prue: “Yep, with the San Francisco Chronicle for a photojournalist position.”

Piper: “Sounds exciting, would you like some breakfast.”

Prue: “No thanks, I think I’ll just have a bagel and coffee” (starts to read the paper while sipping her coffee). “Have you seen Phoebe this morning? I haven’t seen much of her lately.” She adds.

Piper: “I know neither have I.” Piper responds. “I think she may still be sleeping. After helping me at the club last night, she went to work at the campus bookstore and didn’t get in until late.”

Prue: “You know I’m really proud of our little sister. Not only is she back in college, but she has a job, and is taking on more responsibility.”

Piper: “Yeah, I know.” (Smiling at Prue’s compliment of Phoebe) “I’m just wondering if maybe she’s taking on a little too much,” Piper continues.

Prue: “What do you mean?” she asks puzzled.

Piper: “Well neither of us has seen much of her unless it’s at P3 because she is either working, volunteering at the convalescent home, studying at the library or in class. I know she must be exhausted but I don’t think she gets that much sleep. Last night as I was walking past her room, I peeked in on her and she was tossing and turning and sweating a lot. I’m starting to get a little worried about her,” she exasperates.

Prue: “Actually, now that you mention it I think she is pushing herself a little too hard. I walked past her room this morning and I thought I heard her crying. I am starting to get worried also. I think maybe we should talk to her and try to find out what’s wrong.” (Starts to get up and put her dishes in the sink.)

Piper: “I think you’re right. I tell you what, why don’t you guys come down to P3 later on today for drinks and we can talk then.”

Prue: “Sounds good,” (gathers her things and looks at her watch) “I’ll call you after my interview. For which I better leave now before I’m late.” (Kisses Piper on the cheek and heads out) “See you later. Love you. Oh, you better wake up Phoebe before she is late for class.”

Piper: “Yeah okay, love you too. Good Luck.” She says back as she heads for the stairs. “Phoebe.” She calls.

(Meanwhile, Phoebe is upstairs slowly getting ready for class when suddenly she has a premonition. She sees two women lying unconscious on the ground and a man running. As quickly as the vision begins, it ends, leaving Phoebe sitting on her bed confused and disoriented with a splitting headache. She hears Piper call her name and tries to compose herself.)

Piper: “Phoebe, rise and shine.” Piper calls again. “Hey Pheebs are you awake?” (She knocks on Phoebe’s door before opening it.) “Breakfast is ready.”

Phoebe: “Uh.hey Piper, yeah I’m awake.” (Tries to wipe the tears from her eyes before her sister sees them) “I’ll be down in a minute.”

Piper: (Walks into Phoebe’s room and sees her sister sitting on the bed looking disheveled. She rushes to her to see what is wrong) “Pheebs, are you okay?” she asks in a concerned tone.

Phoebe: (Quickly wiping the last of her tears away, she looks up at her sister’s concerned face and tries to smile.) “Yeah, I’m okay. I guess it’s just that time of the month. I’ll be fine. Let me finish getting dressed and I’ll be down in a few minutes, okay?”

Piper: “Are you sure you’re okay?” (Looks questioningly at her sister not sure if she should leave her alone.)

Phoebe: “Yeah, I’m sure,” nods weakly.

Piper: “Okay, see you downstairs. Hurry up though, your breakfast is getting cold.” (Piper gets up and starts to walk out the door. She turns around to see Phoebe with her head in her hands. She walks out and closes the door behind her. Outside of the room Piper looks at Phoebe’s door and thinks out loud.) “I know something is wrong with you little sister and Prue and I will find out what it is tonight.” (She heads back downstairs to finish Phoebe’s breakfast.)

Phoebe: (After Piper leaves, Phoebe finishes dressing when a wave of dizziness and nausea hits her. She quickly sits back down waiting for the feeling to pass.) “What is wrong with me? I feel so drained and tired all of a sudden.” (She realizes that she hasn’t been sleeping well lately and decides to dismiss her symptoms as just signs of exhaustion.)

Abandoned Warehouse:
Meanwhile at an abandoned warehouse across town, a man is looking into the Halliwell Manor through a crystal ball, while a warlock laughs evilly in the background. The warlock has just finished casting a spell as part of his plan to destroy the Charmed Ones and gain their powers.

The Spell:
Darkness of Evil, Darkness of Night,
Let the powers of the Halliwell with internal sight,
Be multiplied ten times over with all thy might.

Warlock (talking to the man): “Phoebe Halliwell will be the first sister to succumb to my power and she won’t even know it.

Man (responding): “Your plan is brilliant Master.” He grins evilly. “After being bombarded with premonitions and trying to save everyone, Miss Halliwell will be too weak to even think straight much less try and fight off a warlock. Without Phoebe and her visions to warn them, the other two sisters won’t know what hit them until it’s too late. You will have the power of the Charmed Ones and I will finally have my revenge. Hahahahaha.”

The San Francisco Chronicle:
(Prue is sitting in the waiting area looking very nervous. Although she had arrived thirty minutes early she has been waiting to be seen for almost an hour. She wonders what’s taking so long, she is anxious to get the interview over with so that she can meet her sisters at P3. She decides to approach the receptionist again.)

Prue: “Hi, my name is Prue Halliwell. I have an appointment to see Mr. Tim Jackson. I have been waiting for over an hour.”

Receptionist: “Yes, Miss Halliwell. Well as I told you before Mr. Jackson is in with another person at the moment and as soon as he is through I’m sure that you will be called. So please just have a seat.” (Goes back to filing her nails.)

Prue: (Reluctantly goes back to her seat. This is one time she wishes she could use her power for personal gain. She would definitely send that receptionist flying. While she is waiting, Prue’s mind wanders to her sisters as she wonders what they are doing. She is especially concerned about her baby sister, Phoebe. She and Phoebe have had a very strenuous relationship over the years to say the least. She wants to change that. However before she can think about it further, Mr. Jackson comes out of his office.) “Finally,” Prue thinks to herself.

Mr. Jackson: (Looks at the appointment calendar on the receptionist’s desk and sees Prue’s name. He looks around the room before stopping at Prue.) “Are you Prue Halliwell?” he asks.

Prue: “Yes, I am.” Prue responds.

Mr. Jackson: “I apologize for keeping you waiting. Please follow me.” (He directs Prue to his office.)

Prue: “That’s alright.” (She gathers her things and follows the gentleman into his office.)

The Halliwell Manor:
Meanwhile back at the manor, Piper is back in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on Phoebe’s breakfast. Phoebe has yet to come down, so Piper decides to call her sister one more time unaware of the physical pain Phoebe is in.

Piper: “Phoebe breakfast is ready. Hurry up or else you will be late for class.” (Piper thinks it’s odd that Phoebe is being a slowpoke. Besides being a witch, Piper knows that Phoebe loves her college courses and is almost never late for class. She is more convinced then ever that something is wrong with her sister. She is determined to get to the bottom of the problem.)

Phoebe: “I’m coming right now,” Phoebe responds weakly upon hearing her name. (Although she still has a major headache, the dizziness and nausea have subsided a little. She walks downstairs slowly and hopes to mask the pain that she is in from Piper. As she enters the kitchen she sees Piper putting her food on the table.) “Umumum…something sure smells good.” She exclaims as she sits at the table.

Piper: (smiling) “Hey, it’s about time you showed up. A minute longer and I would have given your food to Kit.” she says. (Looking up, Piper notices the pained expression on Phoebe’s face and her slow movements.) “Hey Pheebs, are you sure you’re okay? You don’t look so good.”

Phoebe: (Trying not to reveal anything, Phoebe puts on a brave front.) “Yeah…Pipe, I’m fine. I told you it’s just that time of the month. Nothing to worry about.” she responds quickly. (She reaches for a knife and fork and just as she touches the knife she is gripped by a premonition.)

Begin Premonition:
{It’s the same one she had earlier. However, this time the vision is longer and in color. It is much more vivid because she can see and hear everything that is happening as if she is right there. She sees two women walking down the street. One of them stops inside a dress store located in an alley, while the other one stays outside talking on her cell phone. Suddenly a man comes up to her carrying a huge knife. He waves it in her face and demands that she give him her purse. The woman refuses and then begins to holler. The man covers her mouth to muffle her screams and then thrusts the knife into her repeatedly. The woman falls to the ground bleeding profusely. By this time the other lady has just come out of the store and sees what happened. She tries to stop the man but he runs into her knocking her down and causing her to hit her head. The man grabs both purses and then quickly runs away.} End Premonition

Phoebe screams in terror as the premonition ends. Piper is watching as Phoebe doubles over in pain. She rushes over to her sister’s side as Phoebe begins to shake uncontrollably.

Piper: “Pheebs, what is it? What did you see?” asks Piper with a worried look on her face. (She is desperately trying to console her terrified sibling, wondering what she saw that would make her scream like that.) “Shh…Phoebe, shh…it’s okay tell me what you saw.” Piper says soothingly.

Phoebe: “I-I-I s-saw two women be-being attacked.” She replies in between sobs. (She starts to calm down a little while still in Piper’s embrace.) “The vision was so vivid. I could hear their screams and feel their terror and pain almost as if it were happening to me.”

Piper: “Could you tell who it was? Was it a demon, warlock or human?” Piper asks, trying to get an idea of what they were up against while still consoling Phoebe.

Phoebe: “I couldn’t tell, the guys face was covered,” she replies trying to stand. (As soon as she gets up, her legs immediately give and she begins to fall. Luckily Piper notices and grabs her before she hits the ground.) “Whoa, I think I better sit down.” She says feeling completely drained of energy.

Piper: “I got you sweetie. I think we better call Prue,” she says as she leads Phoebe over to the couch.) “Here honey, lie down on the couch while I try to call her.”

Phoebe: “Where is Prue?” Phoebe asks weakly, settling back on the couch.

Piper: “At a job interview.” Piper responds. (Before Piper tries to reach Prue, she goes to the kitchen to get Phoebe a glass of water.) “Here you go Pheebs, I’m going to call Prue now okay.” (Hands Phoebe the glass and then goes to pick up the phone to call Prue.)

Part 3:

Phoebe: “No don’t call her.” Phoebe says as she struggles to make her way to where Piper is.

Piper: “Why not?” asks Piper giving Phoebe a puzzled look. “She needs to know what happened so we can try and stop it.”

Phoebe: “Piper, I’m not saying don’t tell her.” Phoebe clarifies, still feeling a little weak. “I just don’t think you should disturb her while she is on her interview that’s all. We can tell her later. I’m not even sure when this happens or if it happened already.

Piper: (Looks at her little sister trying to contemplate what she said. Finally she relents, putting the phone down and agrees to wait to tell Prue.) “Okay, we’ll tell her later.” She replies. (Piper then looks closely at Phoebe and notices that she still doesn’t look well. She is trembling uncontrollably and sweating profusely.) “Pheebs, how are you feeling? I never saw you like that before.” Piper states worriedly.

Phoebe: “I’m feeling better now sis.” (She looks at her watch and realizes she is going to be late for class if she doesn’t leave now.) “I better go or else I’ll be late.” (Gets up to leave but stumbles a little when she gets a very painful headache. All of a sudden the room starts spinning and her vision becomes blurry.) “Oh…Ow.” Phoebe screams clutching her head as she loses balance.

Piper: “Oh God. Phoebe, are you okay? What’s wrong?” Piper asks rushing to Phoebe’s side trying to steady her.)

Phoebe: “Yeah, I’m okay I think I just got up too quickly.” (She doesn’t tell Piper about her splitting headaches or blurred vision, not wanting to worry her sister anymore.) “Listen I have got to go.” She says getting up to leave again.

Piper: “Are you sure you’re up to going to class today Pheebs? You really don’t look so good? Maybe you should just stay home and rest, you can tell me more about your vision.” (Piper is really concerned now and wants Phoebe to stay so she can keep an eye on her.)

Phoebe: “I’m fine Piper, honest.” (She is getting a little frustrated with her overprotective sister.) “I need to go to class and talk to my professor. I have a history paper to write and I’m not sure what to write on. I’m hoping she could give me some ideas. I also promised Darryl that I’d stop by the station today. He wanted my help on a missing persons case he’s working on.

Piper: “I’m just worried about you honey, Prue and I both are. I mean you look sick and I know you haven’t been sleeping well. Tell you what, why don’t you come by the club later on and have drinks with us. We can talk about your vision and what’s bothering you.” (She looks anxiously at her sister hoping she would agree.)

Phoebe: (knowing she couldn’t get out of it, Phoebe reluctantly agrees to meet her sisters at P3, maybe they can help her.) “Piper I’m okay really. I’m sorry I worried you. But okay if it will make you feel better I will see you both tonight. Now I have got to go. I am late enough as it is.” (With that Phoebe kisses Piper goodbye and is out the door.)

Piper: “Bye see you tonight.” (She watches Phoebe as she walks down the street and continues to watch her until she is out of sight. She’s glad that Phoebe agreed to come to the club tonight, maybe they can finally get to the bottom of what’s bothering her.)

The San Francisco Chronicle:
Meanwhile, Prue is still interviewing with Mr. Jackson.

Mr. Jackson: (Reviews Prue’s resume and portfolio and is very impressed.) “ Miss Halliwell, I see here that you worked for Buckland’s Auction House and before that at a museum. What made you decide to switch to photojournalism?

Prue: (a little nervous, she responds quickly.) “ Well Mr. Jackson, photography has always been a passion of mine and when I was younger I dreamt of someday pursuing it as a career.”

Mr. Jackson: “I am very impressed with your portfolio. You have a good eye for detail and I think you will fit in nicely here. How soon can you start?”

Prue: (Surprised and excited.) “I can start immediately. How soon do you need me?”

Mr. Jackson: “Well that’s great. Be here 9am Monday.” (Gets up to shake Prue’s hand and welcome her on board.)

Prue: I’ll be here bright and early Monday morning.” she says standing and shaking his hand eagerly.

Mr. Jackson: “Good! Welcome to The Chronicle Family. I look forward to working with you. See you on Monday.” He states as he ushers Prue out the door.)

(Prue leaves Mr. Jackson’s office in a very good mood. She can’t believe she got the job so easily. However, she is not complaining though. She rushes to get home and tell her sisters the good news. She gets in her car and decides to call Piper like she said she would.)

The Manor:
Piper: (is just about to walk out the door when her cell phone rings. She quickly grabs it while looking for her keys.) “Hello,” she says while finding her keys and walking out the door.)

Prue: “Hey Piper, it’s me.”

Piper: “Hi Prue, what’s up? I’m glad you called. How did your interview go?”

Prue: “It went great, I got the job,” she says excitedly.

Piper: “That’s great Prue. This calls for a celebration. I’m on my way to the club now. You’re still coming aren’t you?” She asks, happy for her sister.

Prue: “Of course. Let me just go home first and change. Is Phoebe still home?” Prue asks remembering her conversation with Piper earlier about their concerns for the youngest Halliwell.

Piper: “No, she went to class. She said she’ll meet us tonight for drinks,” she says in a shaky voice trying to remain calm.

Prue: (Noticing the change of tone in her sister’s voice, Prue gets concerned.) “Piper is everything okay, you sound upset.”

Piper: “I‘m fine Prue. It’s Phoebe, I am really worried about her.”

Prue: “What’s wrong with Phoebe? Is she okay?” Prue asks, concern and panic filling her voice.

Piper: “I don’t think so. She had a vision today that terrified the hell out of her. After it was over she was so weak she could barely stand up. The vision completely drained her Prue. I’ve never seen her look so tired and weak. I tried to get her to stay home and rest but she insisted on going to class.”

Prue: (Hearing the crack in her sister’s voice, Prue decides to forget changing and just meet Piper at the club.) “Listen Piper, I decided not to go home. I’m going straight to the club and you can tell me everything that happened today okay. See you soon.”

Piper: “Okay, see you in a few,” she says relieved that she’ll see Prue soon, and they can discuss the fears and concerns they both have for their little sister.

Meanwhile:
Mr. Jackson decides to go out and tells his receptionist that he will be back in a couple of hours. He gets in his car and heads to an abandoned warehouse. Once there he goes inside and talks to the warlock we saw earlier.

Mr. Jackson: “Everything is going according to plan. Another sister is falling into our trap. I just hired Prue Halliwell. She didn’t even recognize me. Once we get rid of Phoebe the other two will be easy prey.”

Warlock: (Grinning evilly) “Very good. I was looking into the Halliwell Manor; the youngest Halliwell just had a premonition that was so vivid she felt like she was one of the victims. It drained her energy and took her almost two hours to recover. Too bad her recovery period won’t last. That was just one of many visions that she will have. I will make sure that she has premonitions that will be so dramatic, and feel so real and painful that she will be begging for someone to take her power. Soon both the Power of Three and the Book of Shadows will be mine, and the Charmed Ones will be no more. Hahahahahaha.” (Both he and Mr. Jackson laugh evilly.)

P3:
Leo: “Hey sweetie. How’s it going?” He asks, happy to see the love of his life.

(Piper is sitting at the bar trying to balance last night’s receipts but can’t seem to concentrate and doesn’t hear Leo talking to her.)

Leo: “Hey Piper.” Leo says again trying to invoke a response from his fiancé.

(Still no response from Piper.)

Leo: (Noticing that Piper seems a little distracted, Leo decides to use a different approach to get her attention. He sneaks up behind her and grabs her by the waist in a loving embrace.)

Piper: (Startled out of her reverie, Piper is about to protest when Leo kisses her passionately taken Piper off guard. She responds in kind and they kiss for a minute before Piper breaks away.) “Oh.Uh, Leo hi.” She says sheepishly. “How long have you been here?” she asks.

Leo: “Uh, yeah. Everything is fine.” She lies (not sure whether to reveal her concerns about Phoebe until she knows more.) “I’m just sitting here balancing last night’s receipts while I wait for Prue.” she says as she goes back to what she was doing.

Leo: “Are you sure?” he asks not convinced. “You seemed pretty distracted a while ago. Something’s on your mind, what is it?

Piper: (Knowing she can’t hide anything from Leo because he knows her to well, decides to tell him what was bothering her while she waits for Prue to arrive.) “I can’t hide anything from you, can I?” she smiles.

Leo: “No,” he states simply. “So tell me what’s up?”

Piper: “It’s Phoebe.” Piper says trying to remain calm.

Leo: “Phoebe, what about her?” He asks puzzled trying to get Piper to elaborate.

Piper: “I’m worried about her.” She states.

Leo: “Why? Has something happened?” he asks concerned.

Piper: “Well yes and no.” she responds. (Just as she is about to elaborate further Prue walks in.”

Prue: “Piper.” She calls out Piper’s name instinctively before seeing her sitting at the bar.

Piper: (Hearing her name, Piper looks up and sees Prue coming towards her.) “Hey Prue over here.”

Leo: “Hi Prue,” Leo greets. “What can I get you to drink?” he asks politely.

Prue: “Hey Leo, Um I’ll have a white wine spritzer. Thanks.” She responds as she goes to hug her sister.

Leo: “White wine coming right up.” He goes to prepare Prue’s drink while she and Piper talk.

Piper: “So Prue, tell me about this job. When do you start? What’s your boss like? Is he cute?” asks Piper enthusiastically.

Leo: “Here you go Prue.” (Handing Prue her drink, overhears the conversation.) “Prue, you got a new job congratulations. This calls for a celebration.”

Prue: “Thanks Leo,” takes a sip of her drink. “Let’s wait until Phoebe gets here before we celebrate or go into details okay. She’s still coming isn’t she?” Prue asks.

Piper: “I hope so, I just about to tell Leo about our concerns for our baby sister.” She says taking a deep breath.

Prue: “Yeah, Piper what happened this morning. You said Phoebe had a vision that scared her.” She said taking another sip of her wine. “That’s nothing new. What makes this vision so different.” She asks a little confused.

Piper: “Well Prue,” she says slowly. “According to Phoebe, this vision was so vivid and felt so real that she could see and hear everything that happened as if she was there.”

University of California, San Francisco:
(Meanwhile at UCSF, Phoebe is in class trying to take notes. Her head is pounding and she feels very tired. On her way to class, more visions popped into her head. Every time she bumped into someone or something she would see something horrifying. She already saved 3 people from getting hit by cars, helped a lost little boy find his Mom before he was kidnapped and performed the Heimlich Maneuver on a choking little girl before anyone realized something was wrong. Now she can barely keep her eyes open. Something is definitely wrong, but what!)

Phoebe: (Trying to listen to her Professor and take notes but finding it difficult to compensate.) “What is wrong with me? I have never felt so tired before. I can’t seem to get rid of this darn headache.” She sighs as she remembers all the visions she had. “I can’t believe how many premonitions I had today. At least I was able to prevent all of them from turning out bad.”

Professor: (looks at her watch) “Okay class that’s it for today. Next week please read chapters 4 & 5 and be prepared to discuss. Class dismissed.”

Phoebe: (She notices the time is 5:30pm and realizes she’s suppose to meet her sisters at the club in an hour and also see Darryl. She gets up slowly, gathers her books and goes to talk to the Professor about the paper she has to write.) “I can’t believe this, I was so tired I barely heard a word Dr. Collier said.” She admonishes to herself. “ (She slowly walks up to the Professor when one of her classmates approaches her calling her name. She turns to see who it is.)

Back at P3:
(The club is starting to become crowded. Prue and Piper are now sitting in the alcove so they can talk in private. Leo said he would let them know when Phoebe arrived.)

Prue: “So Piper, tell me what Phoebe’s vision was about?” Prue asks.

Piper: (Taking a deep breath, Piper begins to fill Prue in on the events of this morning.) “She saw two women being attacked by a someone.”

Prue: “Did she see who the women were or the person that attacked them?” She asks hesitantly. “Was it a demon, warlock or human?” She continues.

Piper: (Shakes her head.) “I don’t know. She couldn’t see his face. Prue you should have seen when she came out of it. She was screaming and shaking uncontrollably.” She pauses remembering how the vision had affected her sister. “I mean I’ve never seen her so drained. It was worse than when she was psychically linked to Beau, that guy from that ghost town. It completely wiped her out. I’m really worried.”

Prue: “From the sound of your voice and the look on your face so am I.” She says as concern spreads across her face. “Hopefully she’ll be here soon and we can get to the bottom of this. Something is wrong, but what?”

"Phoebe you seemed a little distracted today. What's up?"
"Hey Matt. Yeah I’m just exhausted that's all. Probably working to much."
"Look if you need a copy of my notes just let me know." He said as he placed his hand on her shoulder, pulling her yet again into another premonition.

Gasping and letting out a screech as she came out of it she bent over in pain, as Matt quickly held her up from keeling over.

"Phoebe? Are you ok?"

She held her head in her hands her world was spinning. She had never had so many visions in one day and it was starting to take its toll on her body and mind. She couldn’t even think straight.

"Um. I just got really dizzy Matt. Thanks though."
"Ok just sit here a bit and drink this." He handed her the glass of water her professor had gotten for her.

Taking the glass she shakily raised it to her mouth to drink it. Taking in a few small gulps she handed it back to Matt.
"Thank you."
"You’re welcome. Phoebe can I give you a ride home? You dont look so great if you don’t mind me saying so."
"No I have to go to the police station to see a friend and then to the club to meet with my sisters."
"Phoebe I think you should let Matt take you home. You really do look pale." Her Prof. suggested.
"I’m fine really. I’m just a bit tired." Phoebe said, as she stood up slowly afraid of getting dizzy and falling on her face. "Matt do me a favour. Can you copy those notes and take them to the club and give them to my sisters. And this note as well." She asked as she quickly scribbled down a brief note to her sisters. "I’d really appreciate that."
"Sure Phoebe."

She stepped towards the classroom’s door, trying to ignore the stares she was getting from the two occupants of the room.

"Prue I’m telling you something is wrong. I’ve never seen react to a premonition like that before." Piper said worried.
"Look when she gets here we’ll ask her. I should have seen this. I know she’s been tired and run down I just thought it was because of her volunteer hours and working.."
"What you think it has something to do with her premonitions?"
"Maybe it’s her power growing. Now she gets more details."
"Is that possible?"
"Sure it is." Leo added as he sat down next to Piper. "Your powers will grow as you each progress with the ones you have. This could be a time when Phoebes are growing as well."
"I hope your right Leo." Prue said though her thoughts were on her sister. What if that wasn’t what it was? What if it was something different? Prue thought to herself but never voiced her opinion.

Darryl looked down at the photo on his desk. Another crime that had been prevented by a mysterious woman. Darryl l had his suspicions on who it was but didn’t say anything to the officer that was investigating. But he would ask Phoebe when she got there.

He looked up at the time on his watch and noticed that she was already ten minutes late. Probably got tied up at school he thought to himself. That was until he heard the commotion from down the hall. He was expecting one of the Halliwells and with them around things tended to happen that didn’t normally happen. Like commotion’s in police stations.

Phoebe walked with care up the steps to the station. Her vision that she had at school really scared her. She had known Matt almost a year now but she couldn’t get the vision of him hanging there his throat slight out of her mind.

She had written a note to her sisters explaining what she had seen and to keep Mat there at least till after midnight. For what she had seen had happened at his house during the day. But she was luckily enough to see the date on the calendar and she noticed that it was today. So all she had to do was keep him away from his house until after dark.

As she walked up the steps she brushed against several police officers. All harbouring a future event. Events that swirled in her mind to the point it could not take it any more as her knees collapsed from under her, sending her crashing to the station floor.

Darryl rounded the corner and saw Phoebe lying still on the floor with several officers around her.
"Phoebe? What happened?"
"She just collapsed. We already called 911."
"Ok someone get a blanket and a pillow." Darryl started to bark out orders. "Phoebe can you hear me. Come on Phoebe." He spread the blanket over her and gently tucked the pillow underneath her head. "Max stay here with her until the medics get here. I’m going to call her sisters."

The music was not quite at its maximum level for the night as it was still early. But it was loud enough to hear the base thumping. Piper was watching the crowd as her thoughts stayed on her baby sister. She caught her bartender heading in their direction with the cordless phone and handed it to her.

"Its Darryl Morris."

Piper took the phone as she shared a look from Prue. They both knew that Phoebe was to meet Darryl and were now wondering if she hadn’t showed or if something happened while she was there.

"Darryl?"
"Piper look Phoebe just collapsed at the station. They are taking her to SFMH."
"What!? What happened?’
"I dont know. She was coming here to meet about something and she just collapsed. Look the paramedics just arrived. I’ll let them know you’ll meet them there."
"Thanks Darryl" Piper hung up the phone and looked into Prues worried eyes. "Phoebe collapsed at the station when she got there, they’re taking her to SFMH."

Prue practically leaped to her feet. Her own worries showing clearly across her face and through her body actions. Grabbing her coast she took Piper by the hand as they quickly exited the club.
Rushing through the hospital halls hand in hand the two older Halliwells fear inside them was getting out of control. They had to find Phoebe and find out what had happened.

"Phoebe Halliwell please." Prue spoke with a tone that demanded attention.
The nurse checked her records, "She is still in the ER. The doctor is." She didn’t even get to finish her sentence as the two sisters turned on their heels and marched further down the hall to the ER.
"Phoebe. Oh god baby are you ok?" Piper asked as she looked over at Phoebe laying on the small bed in the ER.
"She should be fine. We had to give her a few stitches on her forehead where she hit it against the table in the station."
"Piper I’m fine." She said weakly. It was a weakness that neither of her sisters or the doctor missed.
"I would like her to stay over night for observation. We’ve taken a sample of blood to determine that cause of her collapse."
"That may be a good idea." Prue agreed as she ran her hand over Phoebes head.
"Prue please. I just want to go home." Phoebe pleaded with her sister. Giving them both the knowing look of this could be supernatural and I would rather be at home with you two.
"Phoebe."
"Prue please."
"Ok." Prue finally gave in. "What should we do tonight with her doctor?"
"Just keep an eye on her. Wake her up a few times during the night. But after tonight she should be ok. But I also recommend lots of bed rest. Right now I’m going with fatigue on why she collapsed. But until we get the test results back that's all I can say for sure."
"Ok. Thank you doctor." Piper finally finding her voice to say something. She was so worried about Phoebe she couldn’t even think straight.

Pulling up to the Manor Piper helped Phoebe up the steps with her arm around her sisters waist. As Phoebe rested her head on Pipers shoulder. Getting settled in her own bed, Phoebe was thankful to finally be in a safe surrounding as the pounding in her head continued. And every time she opened her eyes the room would spin out of control.

"Phoebs what's going on?" Piper asked gently.
"I’m not sure Pipe. My premonitions are getting out of control. Not that I could control them before, but this is getting crazy. They just keep coming one after the other and I can’t stop it. " Phoebe tried to explain, "But they are so vivid. It’s as if they were happening to me."
"Ok get some rest. And we’ll figure this out." Piper said as she pulled the blanket over her sister and placing a kiss on her baby sisters’ forehead. "Love you."

He watched from his seat in the dark room. The two of them sat there and watched her go from vision to vision each one draining her more and more.
"To bad we can’t drag this out a bit longer. I’m really starting to enjoy this little game of demon vs. witch."
"Yes only this time the demon will win." He said with a deep laugh that almost seemed to shake the rafters above them. "Soon she will be begging for someone to just take her powers. And yet I’ve still saved my best vision. If that doesn’t make her surrender her powers then she will die from what she sees."

He watched with delight at the anguish that he knew she was feeling. Her sister was lying there hurt from an unseen force. He laughed at the victory he would soon have on them all but especially her.

"Prue what did she mean her visions were getting out of control?"
"I don’t know Piper. But I intend to find out. She’s been keeping this from us and that pisses me off but right now she needs our help." Prue looked down at Phoebe.
"Ok look you want to take shifts watching her?"
"No I got her. You look like you need the sleep. If anything changes I’ll let you know."
"Ok but I’m sleeping in here." Piper said, not taking no for an answer, as she curled herself next to her sleeping sister.

Prue sat and watched as Phoebe slept seemingly peacefully. What she didn’t know were the visions her baby sister was having over and over. So vivid in detail and feelings that Phoebe got lost inside of them, unable to pull herself away.

Murders, assaults, robberies. Everything she had seen before just kept repeating over in her head. The pain of the bullet plunging inside of her as another person was killed in the streets of San Francisco.
She tried to close it out by shutting her eyes in her visions but she found herself standing inside what looked like an old train station.

"Welcome Phoebe." The voice echoed out form the darkness
"Who are you?"
"Oh that is no concern. But I can help you end this torment. You were not supposed to get premonitions like this. Not yet. You’re not ready."
"But I am so I must be."
"No. But I can help you. Surrender your power to me for safe keeping until you are ready for this level. And you will no longer feel the way you do."
"No I could never."
"Phoebe if you don’t you could die. Do you want that? Do you want to leave your sisters alone knowing you could have prevented it?’

She looked around her surroundings something just didn’t seem right. Why was everything so dark? What was he hiding from? Her, or something more then that?

She stepped back from the sound of his voice.
"No. I will not give you or anyone my powers. Why should I? Who are you?"
"In time you will discover that and all that you need to know."
"Not good enough. Neither I nor my sisters will surrender our powers."
"Then you will die keeping them," he said as she felt the impact of another vision hitting her mind. An impact that she could not prevent. A vision that she could not prevent and one that she had always prayed she would never see."

Prue looked down at her sister who was suddenly getting more restless. She brushed the hair off her forehead and could feel the heat coming from her.
"Phoebe. Wake up sweetie." She said, lightly shacking her, to get her to wake up but her sister would not open her eyes.
"Phoebe. Come on honey wake up." Prue repeated though now panic was entering her voice.
"Prue?"
"Piper she won’t wake up."
"What? Phoebe. Come on honey wake up." Piper to shock her sister to wake her but all she got was nothing. No swat to get her away. No moan to tell her to leave her alone. Nothing.

Piper could feel her fear building as a tear escaped down her face. "Prue. What's going on?"
"I don’t know but I think there is someone who might." Prue said as he squeezed Pipers hand reassuringly. "LEO!" she shouted up to the ceiling hoping and praying that there whitelighter could heal

Phoebe or at least tell them what was going on.
The blue sparkles flutter in a swirl of lights mixed in with a small bit of white. Finally forming into the form of a man. A man from another generation yet now of this one. And man who had died and now lives only to help witches down the right path. A man that fell in love with one of those witches.

"Prue what?"
"Phoebe. We can’t get her to wake up. And she said earlier that her power was getting out of control."
Leo bent down to the youngest Halliwell and held his hands over her body but nothing happened.
"Leo. Why isn’t it working?" Piper asked in near panic
"I don’t know. I feel her pain and her torment but I can’t heal her."
"Leo you have to do something." Prue demanded as she watched helplessly, as her sister lay motionless now.
"I’ll go see what they know. But it does have something to do with her powers. I can feel that much."
"Hurry Leo. I can’t lose her." Piper looked at him with love and loss in her eyes.

He looked over at her and understood the urgency behind her words, as he disappeared in the same blue and white sparkle he arrived in.

"Piper stay here and wait for Leo. I’m going to get the BOS maybe there’s something in there." Prue ordered as he left Phoebs room for the attic.

"You did it didn’t you?"
"She gave me no choice. She wouldn’t relinquish her power to me."
"But I have not yet played my hand to her sister."
"It could not wait. She was starting to get suspicious."
"But my plan could be ruined."

He watched as the man before him practically begged him. It was that force of pleasure that he enjoyed the most. The power he held over mortals when they made a deal with evil. Thinking that they were better and smarter then they truly were. It made him want to laugh and be ill at the same time. They were all weak beings ready for his taking.

"Don’t test me human. I can end your life just as fast as I can end theirs."
"We had a deal."
"And I can relinquish that deal as fast as you were willing to make it. All you wanted was revenge on a woman that you don’t even know."
"I am not in this for me I told you that."
"Yes, yes. She hurt you baby brother. And now I am hurting her sister. It’s all working out nicely. And soon you will have your revenge and I will have the power of the Charmed Ones."

The images pounded into her mind like a flood of a broken damn and the water spilling out of control.

"Prue look out!" Piper yelled out as the flaming beam came down ready to strike her sister. But it suddenly froze in place. Hanging above them by an invisible wire.

Prue moved her arm and tossed it towards the demon before them as Phoebe fought off another attacker.
"Phoebe get over here!" Prue yelled as she watched her sister vanquish another demon

Phoebe ran over to her sisters as the building around them continued to burn.
"Who is that guy?" Piper asked as she froze the demon before them only to have him break through it yet again.
"Who am I you ask? I’m surprised your little book never told you of me." He almost laughed at them.
"Well I know this much. You’re the next demon to be vanquished by the Charmed Ones." Phoebe yelled at him.
"Oh yes. The youngest. The one to discover and unleash your powers. Maybe I should kill you first."
"You can try." Prue said with anger as she flung him against the wall.

He raised himself straight back up from the floor as if she had pushed him back slightly against a trampoline.
"Who are you?" Pier asked ass he watched him rise.
"Your greatest enemy."
They starred at him before Phoebe broke the silence, "The Source."
"Oh and she is bright too," he said with a laugh that echoed through the burning building.

Though just as he said it his arm slowly moved forward gripping Piper in an invisible death grip as he tossed her aside like a rag doll. Prue went to react but she found herself in the same invisible grip as she sailed through the air. Her last thoughts were of the love she held for her sister’s and she felt the wooden spike enter her body and then everything black.

Phoebe watched helplessly as her sisters were killed before her and she couldn’t stop it.

The seen changed as Phoebe looked out to a barren wasteland of darkness. No life was found as the darkness ran over the earth. Everything was dead.

"The death of the Charmed Ones has brought ruin to our lands." The voice seemed to echo in her mind.
Had they truly all perished? Or was this something that she could prevent.

But again her vision changed as she looked upon the dead bodies of her sisters. Hanging in the wind for all to see. The final destruction of the Charmed Ones.

Phoebe gasped at the broken and bloodied bodies of her family. It was all she do to not be sick. As she screamed out their names. Gone forever.
"And now it’s your turn Phoebe." The voice behind her said as she saw the ball of fire heading towards her.

Phoebe gasped as her body went taut and then fell silent, as Piper looked down at her.
"Phoebe?" she cried out as she held her sister.
"Piper?"
"Prue she just gasped and then nothing. I think."
"No she isn’t she can’t be. She got us into this she will stay with us."

Leo returned and looked at Piper with all hope lost. how had they let this happen ? How had they let him get this close to them?

"Piper. I’m.." he couldn’t finish as tears sprang from his own eyes.
Piper and Prue looked up at Leo and held his gaze. Both understood the unspoken words between them.

"Leo what the hell is going on?" Prue asked in anger. Her fear for her sister was building inside and she had only one way to release it at that point; yell at Leo and what he represented.

He looked over at Piper and could see Prues fears mirrored in her eyes. Oh how he loved those eyes.
"It’s a demon."
"Ok that much we pretty much figured out on our own Leo." Prue spat out at him.

Piper listened to Prues angry words. She didn’t blame her sister. She was angry too. Had they know something and not told them and now because of that they could lose Phoebe.
"Look they only just found out themselves. And they actually found out from the other side."
Prue and Piper looked at each other confused.
"What someone ratted out one of their own?"
"Seems like it. This demon made a deal with a human for personal reason and they don’t like that to much."
"So who is this demon and why would a human want to make a deal with evil?"
"He goes by the name Rillam and why he made a deal with a human. Why else. To get your powers."
"Ok so he’s just another demon that is after our powers to kill us. Big surprise there."
"Prue if there was one demon that could actually succeed in getting your powers its him. And I’m betting that is what he is doing with Phoebe."
"So what is his power Leo? And how do we stop him?" Piper asked hoping that her boyfriend could help her sister.
"He has the power to manipulate your powers. And they think he has done that to Phoebe. That was why her visions have been so powerful."
"Wait powerful how. All she said was they were out of control." Prue inquired
"Exactly. They think he has increased her own power so that her visions are almost real. And increasingly more often."
"To the point it overwhelms her and she loses herself." Prue said understanding as she looked down at Phoebe. Brushing her hand over the top of her head.

Pipers looked to Prue and then down at Phoebe. She couldn’t even imagine the things her sister saw but now this. To see things as if you were right there. How could anyone deal with that?
"So what can we do Leo?" Piper finally broke the silence.
"Well from what they know about this guy he will probably offer Phoebe a way out of her pain."
"She would never give up her powers Leo you know that." Prue snapped back at him
"I know Prue. But if she doesn’t he will probably give her a vision that would be so powerful that it will eventually kill her." he said with solemn tears welling in his eyes. Sure he had falling in love with Piper but he cared for all three girls as if they were his own sisters. Deep down he had a feeling that that vision had already come and right now Phoebe could very well be fighting for her life.

The words seemed to slam into Pipers chest as Leo said them. She couldn’t lose Phoebe her sisters were her world. How would they go on without her? They couldn’t and she knew Prue felt the same. "How do we stop this Leo?" she asked quietly as she took Phoebes hand in hers.
"You have to find him and vanquish him. And find who ever it was that made the deal in the first place. Because even with the demon gone who ever this is knows about your powers and will not give up on his or her revenge."
"Ok so we need to figure out who would want revenge on us."
"Not easy Piper. It could be anyone. How many demons have we vanquished."
"But he’s human." Piper looked at Prue getting a message to her just by her look.

Prue looked at Leo and back to Piper. "So they think the person out for revenge is not out for it because of a demon we vanquished."

Leo shook his head, "No. Someone in one of your lives has hurt someone and now they want to get even."
"So maybe it’s someone from Phoebes past. Maybe from her trip to NYC." Piper thought out loud.
"Could be." Prue agreed now feeling guiltier about having pushed her sister to moving away in the first place.

Leo watched as they thought about who it could be in their sisters’ life that would want to get back at her. But then as he watched it came to him.

"Guys. What if its not her." he said with no emotion
"What are you talking about Leo?"
"Think about it Prue. What would be the best way to get at you or Piper?"
"To go after our sisters." She said quietly looking at Phoebe and then up to Piper. She knew for all of them that going after a sister would be the best way for revenge.
"So you think its someone from one of our pasts?" Piper followed what Prue was thinking.
"It’s possible."

He fumed as he paced his apartment. How could this happen? They made a deal and now everything was moving to quickly. He hadn’t even begun to work on the next part of his plan. Getting to Phoebe was easy even Rillam had agreed to that. She was always the link to all the sisters. The baby of the family. The one they all felt as if they had to protect her. But her power was also the easiest to manipulate for Rillam. The only thing neither of them had counted on was her own stubbornness and not telling her sisters what was happening.

He would get his revenge even if it meant he would do it on his own. Even if he had to give them the information they needed to vanquish the demon he made the deal with.

"Prue go. I’ll stay with Phoebe."
"Piper I am not leaving her until we figure this out."
"So what we both stay home and watch her do nothing. Watch her slowly die!"
"She’s not going to die Piper. I won’t let that happen."
"Prue we dont even know where to find this. Guy. Go to your photoshoot Phoebe would want you to."

Piper said in a more even tome. "I promise to call you if anything changes. You worked to hard to get this job. You can’t give up on it now. Phoebe would never forgive you for doing that or herself if she knew she was the reason you stayed here."

Prue looked at Piper and knew she was right. Phoebe would blame herself just as she would if their positions were reversed.

"Fine but you better call if anything changes."
"I’ll call Prue now go."

She stepped from her car and looked up at the old mansion before her. It was definitely starting to show its age as she made her way up the front steps. She knocked on the door and was greeted by the same secretary that had kept her waiting a few days ago in the office.

"You can set up over there." she pointed to the old library.
"So what's this for anyway?"
"I dont know. He just wants shoots of the old place." She stated with no emotions as she left the room.

Prue looked around the dark dank room. Need more light that's for sure she thought as she pulled her camera from her bag.

She wandered around moving her camera to various points on the wall. Her mind drifted back to the Manor to her sister. Hurt but she couldn’t protect her. She couldn’t make her sister feel better.
"Oh Phoebe hang on honey we’ll figure this out."
"Problem Prue?"
"Oh Mr. Jackson. No I was just talking to myself. Old habit."
"But there is something."
"My baby sister. She’s sick I was just thinking about her."
"Sick. I hope not to serious."
"Me to. But our other sister is with her right now. She’s in good hands."
"Look Prue why dont you go home. Be with your sister.
"No she’d kill me if she found out."
"Then we won’t tell her. Go home Prue this can wait.

Prue looked at him again before taking his advice. "Thank you." She said quickly putting away her camera. As she ran from the mansion to the car.

He watched as she ran down the steps to the car.
"Prue."
"Yes."
"I do hope that Phoebe gets better soon. And that Piper is taking good care of her."

Prue stopped in her tracks as she turned and faced him.
"Yes Prue I know who they are. You hurt my family and now I’m going to hurt yours."
"I don’t even know you."
"No but you knew my brother and hurt him so now its pay back. You better hurry home. I’m not sure what he has planned next for her. It could the vision that kills hers."
"If anything happens to her I swear to god I’ll find you."
"And that is what I hope for Prue." He sneered at her as he closed the door leaving her to her thoughts of what could be happening to Phoebe

Piper held the crystal over the map that she had spread out on Phoebes floor. She didn’t want to be to far from her sister and she knew they had to find this demon soon.

As the crystal dropped to the map holding steady over the address that she knew Prue had gone to.
"Leo."

Leo looked at the spot where the crystal landed and realized the same as Piper.
"Call her." he said as he too started to worry. Prue was heading right into their hands.

But as Piper reached for the phone it rang.
"Piper it’s Prue. Its Jackson."
"What?"
"Jackson. He’s our human. He knew about Phoebe and he knew you were home with her. I didn’t even mention your name."
"Ok but who is he?"
"I dont know but its me he’s after. And I have a feeling that he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Keep a close eye on Phoebe and tell Leo not to go to far away. He said that our demon would try again. I’ll be there in 10minutes "
"Prue."
"Just stay with her Piper."

He watched as she had managed to avoid everything he threw at her. But he could tell she was getting tired.
"You can’t keep running from me Phoebe. You’re sisters can not protest you anymore."
"Go to hell."
"Now why does everyone keep telling me to go home. I kinda like it here. Its dark and its even quiet."

Phoebe ran along the dirt field, kicking up dust everytime she lost her balance and fell. But as she hit the dirt again from shear exhaustion she felt the hand picking her back up from the ground.

Pulling her to face him he relished in the pain he knew he was inflicting on her arm as he slammed a hidden force into her stomach causing all the air on her to escape out as she fell to the ground.

He continued to pick her up and hit her again and again. Enjoying each hit as she got weaker and weaker. He held her over an open pit as he looked at the fear in her eyes.
"End this Phoebe. Give me your power."
"Never." She managed to spit out at him as the blood ran down from her mouth
"Then die." He said as she dropped her into the pit

Hitting the ground hard she looked up as he stood above her laughing. And suddenly her world went black.
"Leo. What's going on?"
"I don’t know. Her wounds are not hers."
"What do you mean they’re not here. She’s bleeding."
"I know but its not her. Its her in a vision."
"So what. Fix it."
"I can’t Piper. I’m sorry."
"So what we just wait her for her to come out of her vision."

Leo sat in silence. He knew what was happening but he didn’t know how to tell Piper."
"Leo!"
"I’m sorry Piper. If he kills her in her vision at her state now." He paused as he looked over at Piper. "He will kill her here."

Prue ran up the steps to the Manor and slammed the door behind her.
"Piper?!"
"Upstairs Prue!"

Prue ran up the stairs two by tow to Phoebs room where she knew Piper was.

Bursting through Phoebes door she so the solemn looks on Pipers and Leo’s faces.
"How is she?"
"I’m not sure. I think she’s worse."

Prue looked down at her sisters lying on her bed. She could see the blood that had trickled out of her mouth.
"Leo can’t you do something?"
"I’m sorry Prue I can’t. I’ve tried several times."
"So what we just sit here and watch her die? I can’t except that."
"I tried scrying for the demon Prue I was just going to cal you when you called here."
"Where is he?"
"He was at the house you went to, to take those pictures."
"Jackson." Prue said under her breath.
"What?"
"Jackson. He’s in on this some how."
"Who is he?"
"I have no idea. All he said when I left was that I had hurt his brother or something and that he was getting his brothers rightful revenge for him. I don’t even know who he is."
"So the demon makes a deal with him to help him get revenge on you and the demon gets our powers?"
"I guess so."
"Ok we’ll we know where he is. Let’s say we go vanquish him before he kills Phoebe." Piper said as she stood up and took Prues hand in hers. "We’ll fix this Prue. We have to."

Leo sat on the bench at Phoebs window, listening to the girl’s plan what they were going to do. Looking up to the sky he sat now listening to another conversation that was playing in his head.
"Leo stay with Phoebe."
"I’m coming with you."
"Leo we need you to stay with her."
"I just heard. You are going to need the power of three to vanquish Rillam."
"What!"
"They just told me. It’s going to take al three of you to vanquish him."
"Ok a bit hard right now as Phoebe is lying there in a coma or something." Prue said angrily. Angry at the Elders for once again holding back information.
"The two of you may have enough power to weaken him. To get him to release his hold on Phoebe." He explained. As soon as he does then you can all say the spell.
"Ok then you’re not coming with us. You’re staying here. The minute she wakes up you orb her to us. Then we can vanquish this demon once and for all. And I may take in a few shots for hurting my sister." Prue said with new determination

They stood outside the mansion looking up the old structure. In some ways it reminded them both of their own home. It’s large high roof stretching for the sky. Only this one was looking like it only had a few more years left in it before it fell down.

Taking in a deep breath Prue took Pipers hand as they made their way towards the front steps.
"Let’s go get our sister back." Prue said with determination.
"They’re here."
"I know. But without the powe
