She

She may be the face I can't forget.
The trace of pleasure or regret.
May be my treasure,
or the price I have to pay.

“Hi, um, I'm looking for my sister, Phoebe Halliwell.”

“One second please. Now sir, what's the name again?”

“Inspector Andrew Trudeau. Homicide. Dr Gordon's expecting me.”

“Andy?”

“Prue? I don't believe it. How are you?”

“I'm good. How are you?”

“Fine. I just can't believe I'm running into you…”

She may be the song the summer sings.
May be the chill the autumn brings.
May be a hundred different things,
within the measure of a day.

“Hello?”

“Hi, you’re still at the office.”

“Yeah, um, can I call you back?”

“Sure. I’m at the station house. Everything okay?”

“It is now. Thanks, Andy. Thanks for calling.”

“I just wanted to hear your voice…”

She may be the beauty or the beast.
May be the famine or the feast.
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell.
She may be the mirror of my dreams.
The smile reflected in a stream.
She may not be what she may seem
inside her shell.

“Andy, hi.”

“ Hello, Prue.”

“I’m so sorry I’m late, my meeting ran over.”

“Your assistant said I could wait here. I hope that’s okay”

“Yeah, of course. Can I get you anything? Something to drink?”

“I’m fine. How are you?”

“A nervous wreck. You?”

“Heart’s pounding like a sledge hammer.”

“Uh, so, Andy, how well do you think you really know me?”

“ Well, I know about your fondness for Twizzlers, how you can’t stand it when people talk at the previews, how you like to argue to win, and how you pick your cuticles when you’re nervous. And also know I’d love to see you again. I wish you can trust me enough to tell me whatever it is you’re afraid of.”

“Well, actually that’s what I wanted to see you about except that instead of telling you I think I’ll just show you, so here goes. See this? Watch.”

“What the hell was that?”

“My secret. I did that with my mind.”

“You’re telekinetic?”

"Yes. Well actually it’s so much more than that. I’m a witch."

“Wow. That’s quite a secret you’ve been hiding."

"I can’t change who I am. And that’s something I’ve recently come to accept. The question is can you?”

“To tell you the truth…I don’t know, Prue. I honestly don’t know.”

She who always seems so happy in a crowd.
Who's eyes can be so private and so proud.
No one's allowed to see them when they cry.

"It's too dangerous, Prue."

"I don't have a choice. If I don't meet with him, he'll try to frame you and try to expose me."

"But if he is a demon and it turns out to be a trap."

"And I'll have Piper and Phoebe there to back me up, the power of three."

"Plus one."

"No. You can't be there, Andy. That's where you were in Phoebe's premonition when ... just promise me you'll stay away."

"I can't do that, Prue."

"I mean it. Don't make me use my magic on you. (They smile.) I don't want anything to happen to you, Andy. You know how much I care for you."

"Okay, I promise."

(Second Reset)

"Prue, I can't do that."

"I mean it. Don't make me use my magic on you. (They smile.) Andy, I don't want anything to happen to you. You know how much I still love you."

"No, I didn't."

(Final Reset)

"You could get killed, Prue."

"I mean it. This is not your fight. Don't make me use my magic on you. Andy, I would die if anything happened to you. I love you."

"I love you too, Prue."

She may be the love that cannot hope to last.
That comes indeed from shadows in the past,
that I remember till the day I die.

Rodriguez kicks open the door and throws the lightning bolt at Prue, but Piper pushes her out of the way just in time and they fall to the floor. Andy runs in.

"No!!" Andy shouts as his gun is aimed at Rodriguez. He shoots at Rodriguez and Rodriguez sends Andy flying across the living room.

Deadly silence, as wood and glass splinter the lives of two hearts… FOREVER.

She may be the reason I survive.
The why and where for I'm alive.
The one I'll care for
through the rough and ready years.

"Prue. Prue. Come to me, Prue."

We enter Prue's dream. She and Andy are there. There's a seat swing surrounded by fog.

"Andy? What's going on? Where are we?"

"I'm not quite sure really. I hoped I'd end up here, but not so soon. One thing I do know is that I'm staying. You're not."

"I don't understand."

"I broke your promise, Prue. I came to your house tonight. Turns out Phoebe's premonition was one you couldn't stop after all. Weren't suppose to stop."

"Wait a minute, Andy, no."

"It's okay, Prue, really, trust me. This is my destiny. I know that now. Yours is to continue on. Everything happens for a reason, remember you taught me that."

"This isn't fair."

"You need to go back. You need to keep the time loop from being reset again or you and your sisters will be killed. And I will have died in vein."

"I'll kill Rodriguez for this."

"No you won't. You're not a murderer, Prue, you're a good person who does good things."

"I don't wanna lose you."

"Don't worry. You won't. Andy tenderly places his lips, once last time onto Prue‘s."

“I'll always be there for you, Prue.”

The words drift on the foggy wind, the one that is taking her beloved away forever and returning her to her destiny.

The smoky after effects of sending Rodriguez to his just reward, begins to thin, leaving a horrific view of Andy’s still, prone body. Prue pulls away from her sisters and walks over to Andy; kneeling down next to him, she covers him with her body, her love and slowly begins to cry….

Me, I'll take her laughter and her tears,
and make them all my souvenirs,
for where she goes I've got to be,
the meaning of my life is she...

Prue hastily wipes at the unending flow of tears. Love and regret mingle, absorbing into what might have been, but will, sadly, never be. Prue lays a red and white rose on top of Andy's coffin. Her breath catches as the wind gently kisses her moistened cheeks… “Andy?”

Slowly, the robed figure fades into eternity.

“The meaning of my life is she!”
