Note: Song = Its All Coming Back to Me by Celine Dion….

This fic is how I interpreted the song…thought it would be perfect for my idea….so if you interpret the song a different way, I’m sorry…And, I’m not using every word and verse because it’s a long song….believe me..

A/N this fic takes place sometime in the 2nd season….

Prue threw her coat on the bed and flopped down upon it. She lay on her back, just staring at the ceiling. She loved Mike, but it was too much for her. Everything he did reminded her of Andy. She got up and looked at the framed picture of Andy that lay on her nightstand. She started to feel a slight breeze blow and walked over to close the window. She then sat back down on her bed. She started to trace Andy’s face with her finger. She let a tear drop as she thought of all the memories she had with him. Yet again she felt a breeze. The window was still open. She closed it yet again.

There were nights when the wind was so cold,
That my body frozen, very tight,
Just listen to it just outside the window.

Prue wiped the tear from her face. She had gotten over Andy, a long time ago.
It was almost a year since his death. She took off her clothes and changed into her pajamas.

I finished crying in the instant that you left,
And I can’t remember where or when or how,
And I banished every memory that you and I had ever had…

Prue awoke the next morning, the bright sun beaming down on her. She held up her hand to shield it and got out of bed, not thinking about last night. She went through her normal morning routine and headed off to Buckland’s, the auction house where she worked. She was examining the most recent arrival when a soft breeze blew all the papers off her desk. She went to close the window, but realized it wasn’t open. She shook her head, obviously confused, and went back to work.

Around noon, she left to meet her most recent guy, Mike, for lunch at a local café.

She got there 15 minutes later, and was greeted by Mike who was already there.
He went to kiss her, but Prue shied away.

“ I’m sorry. I can’t do this. I can’t be with you anymore. Prue got into her car and drove away, leaving a stunned Mike standing on the sidewalk.

When you touch me like this,
When you hold me like that,
I just have to admit that it’s all coming back to me.

When I touch you like this,
When I hold you like that,
It’s so hard to believe but its all coming back to me.

It’s all coming back,
all coming back to me now.
There were moments of gold,
And there were flashes of light.

If I kiss you like this,
And if you whisper like that,
It was lost long ago,
But it’s all coming back to me.

If you want me like this,
And if you need me like that,
It was that long ago,
But it’s all coming back to me.

It’s so hard to resist,
But it’s all coming back to me now.

Prue drove straight home to the Manor. It was too much. She missed Andy terribly.
A year’s worth of emotions were just now being poured out. When she arrived home, she ran straight upstairs to her room and started sobbing. Pretty soon, she had cried herself to sleep.

If I touch you like this,
And if you kiss me like that,
It was so long ago,
But it’s all coming back to me.

If you touch me like this,
And if I kiss you like that,
It was gone with the wind,
But it’s all coming back to me.

Prue was sleeping happily but was awaken by the coldness that had drifted into her room.
She was greeted by a bright light, which she assumed was the sun. But it wasn’t as harsh.
And definitely didn’t have any sort of form. Prue thought she recognized who it was, but it couldn’t be.

“ Andy?”

“ Yes Prue.”

“ Andy, I miss you terribly. I need you. I’ve tried to be strong. But I just can’t do it. I just can’t.”

Prue was now crying uncontrollably.

“ Prue, don’t cry for me. I’m in a good place. You need to move on. Please, for me. That guy Mike, he’s a great guy. He’ll take care of you. I know it. I won’t be able to get on with my afterlife unless I see you happy.”

Andy took a tissue and started wiping the tears from Prue’s face.

“ Now come on, give me one little smile.”

Prue gave him one.

“ That’s my girl. I have to go now. Just remember what I said.”

Andy glowed and then dissipated into nothing.

Prue smiled and picked up the phone. She had to call Mike to apologize.
Mike answered on one of the first rings.

“ Mike, its Prue.”

Mike went to say something but Prue continued on.

“ No, listen. I’m sorry about what happened today. It was wrong to do that to you. But I’ve sorted things out and have realized that I need to move on. Will you forgive me and maybe we can start things over again?”

Mike answered on the other end of the line.

“ Apology accepted. But one question. What changed your mind?”

Prue gave a simple reply.

“ A friend.”

When you see like me this,
And when I see you like that,
And we see what we want to see,
And it’s all coming back to me.

The flesh and the fantasy,
It’s all coming back to me.

I can barely recall,
But it’s all coming back to me now…
