Phoebe: 14
Piper: 17
Prue: 19
“Hello? Is anyone home?” Phoebe walked into the dark, and seemingly empty Victorian Manor. She looked around, confused. Hadn’t Grams told her to be home at 7:00 this evening? She thought to herself. Yes, that was what Grams had said. Guess Grams forgot yet another date today.
Phoebe was thinking about what her Grandmother and her two older sisters Prue and Piper had forgotten. Today was November 22 and it was Phoebe Halliwells 14 birthday. However, from when she got up this morning until now, not one of her friends or family members had said happy birthday or even seemed to notice that today was her birthday. They had all forgotten.
“I can’t believe you guys forgot that today was my birthday!” Phoebe yelled out at the house.
Phoebe walked in to the conservatory, mad at the very thought.
“Surprise!”
“Wh-what the?” Phoebe looked around the conservatory and saw all of her friends, Grams, Prue, Piper, and Andy, Prue boyfriend/life long family friend, standing there. Phoebe couldn’t help but smile as she asked, “What are you guys doing here?”
“Oh, come on Phoebe. Did you really think that we would all forget that today was your birthday?” Piper asked as she walked up and gave her little sister a big hug.
“Well……I kinda did.” Phoebe said with a sheepish grin.
“Ok. Enough with the touchy feely stuff. Let’s start the party!” Prue said as she too came over and gave her baby sister a hug. “Happy birthday Phoebe.”
Phoebe pulled out of the hug and just looked at Piper, then Prue, and finally Grams. “Thank you sooo much!” She said as she gave them all another hug and then went to join the party.

“Night.” Piper waved to the last of Phoebe’s friends as they left. It was 11:00 and Grams had said that it was time to end the party. She shut the door and walked into the living room. Piper smiled at what she saw. Andy and Prue sitting on the couch together, Phoebe curled up in a chair and Grams standing next to the fireplace.
“Well, that was fun. We should do it again.” Prue said as she snuggled closer to Andy. “What do you guys think?”
“Yah.” Both Piper and Phoebe said. “Thanks again you guys.” Phoebe paused for a moment. “For everything.”
“Your welcome sweetie.” Grams looked at Phoebe and smiled. “Happy birthday my darling.”
“Well.” Phoebe said as she stood up. “I’m pooped, so I am going to go to bed. See you guys in the morning.”
“Night Pheebs.” Prue said as Phoebe walked up the stairs and disappeared to her room. Prue sat there and thought for a moment before she looked at Piper. It seemed Piper was thinking the same thing that she was.
“Hey Grams? Don’t you think that we should tell Phoebe?” Piper asked uncertainly. “I mean, she does have a right to know that he’s back in town.”
“I know Piper. But I don’t think we should tell her. He will be leaving at the end of the week and it wouldn’t be fair for her to meet him only to have to say goodbye to him so soon.” Grams said sadness evident in her voice.
“Alright.” Piper said defeated.
“Well, I guess that I should be going.” Andy said as he stood up and grabbed his jacket. “See you tomorrow, Prue?”
“Yah. I’ll walk you to the door.” Prue said as she stood up herself and she and Andy walked to the door. “Good night.” Prue and Andy kissed for a second and then Prue stood in the door way as she watched Andy get in his car and drive away. She turned back into the house, shut the door, and walked back into the living room. Grams had taken Phoebes spot in the chair and Piper was sitting on the couch.
“Well, I think that I am going to go up to bed too. I’m wiped.”
“I’ll join you.”
“Night Grams.” Prue and Piper said together.
“Good night girls. Sleep well.” Grams replied.
“You too.” Piper said as both her and Prue walked upstairs and went to their own rooms.

Phoebe tossed and turned all night. She had a dream that her, Prue, and Piper where driving and talking when suddenly, Prue ran a red light and a car was coming towards them at full speed. Right when they collided, Phoebe awoke with a start. She was covered in sweat and breathing hard.
It felt so real. She thought to her self as she tried to calm down. She fell back on her bed trying to shake the weird feeling that she got from the dream, but when she couldn’t, she walked down stairs, grabbed a drink of water and went and laid down on the couch. She was restless and didn’t fall asleep until around five in the morning.
Prue and Piper walked downstairs at around 7:00 and saw their baby sister curled up on the couch sound asleep. They looked at each other with concern and went and woke her up.
“Hey honey. Not sleep well last night?” Piper asked worried as she sat down next to Phoebe.
“No.” Phoebe said, sitting up.
“Wanna talk about it?” Prue asked, also sitting down next to Phoebe.
“Not really.” Phoebe replied, not wanting to worry her sisters about what she had had dreamed of. “It’s nothing. Really.” She said when she saw the doubt on their faces. “I promise. Everything’s fine.”
“Alright.” Piper said as she stood up. Then she changed the subject. “Do you wanna go shopping at the mall with us Pheebs?”
“Sure. Just let me go get ready.” Phoebe said, brightening up. She ran upstairs to get ready and was back down in about 5 minutes ready and looking great. Secretly, both Prue and Piper envied her. Even when she had her hair in a ponytail and wasn’t wearing any make-up, Phoebe was a knock out. “Let’s go.”
After writing a note to tell Grams where they would be, they got in Prue’s car and headed off to the mall. They pulled out on to the highway and started talking about where Prue was planning on going to college when Phoebe got a major case of deja vu that made her shiver. Piper saw her shiver and asked if there was something wrong.
“Nothing. I just got deja vu.” Phoebe answered trying to figure out what it was about.
“That’s weird.” Prue said, as she looked at Phoebe for a minute through her rear view mirror.
“Oh my god! Prue, look out!” Piper yelled.
Prue looked to the side of her and saw a car coming towards them. She tried to avoid them by turning to the right, but the car started to spin and the other car ran right into the back seat where Phoebe was sitting. The last thing Phoebe remembered before she fell unconscious was hearing Prue and Piper scream.

Prue and Piper sat in the family room at the local hospital with Grams thinking only about Phoebe. She had been in the emergency room for hours now and the doctors still hadn’t told them anything yet. Prue and Piper were silently crying when suddenly a doctor called Grams over. They all got up and walked over to him.
“How’s Phoebe? What happened to her? Is she going to be ok? What took so long?” They bombarded the doctor with questions until he got them settled down enough so that they would let him talk and answer all of their questions.
“My name is Dr. Sherman and I will be Phoebe’s doctor. Phoebe is in serious condition but we’ve managed to stabilizer her. She has severe internal bleeding, a broken leg, and a concussion. She is in intensive care and is being monitored incase she slips into a coma. She is still unconscious but you can go in and see her if you like. She is on the 5th floor and is in room 521.”
“Thank you.” Grams said before they all ran to the elevator and went to the 5th floor. When they got to her room and open the door, they were unprepared for what they saw. Phoebe was badly bruised, had cuts all over her body, and her left leg was in a cast. When they took a second look, they realized that she was deathly pale. They all stopped dead in their tracks while they took in the sight that they were seeing. Then they all pulled chairs around Phoebes bed and sat there, not talking, just watching her, for hours. Around nine in the evening, Grams took them home to get some sleep.

Suddenly, at 2:37 in the morning, the phone rang. Grams finally picked it up after three rings. “Hello?” She asked groggily, still asleep.
“Ms. Halliwell, this is Doctor Sherman.” The Doctor replied.
“Yes. What’s the matter?” She asked waking up instantly.
“You need to come down to the hospital immediately.” Dr. Sherman answered. “I’ll explain everything then.”
“Ok. I’ll be right there.” Grams said, hanging up the phone and starting to panic and worry about Phoebe. Had something happened? She wondered. “Prue, Piper! Wake up!”
“Grams, what’s going on?” A sleepy Prue asked when she finally walked down the stairs with Piper next to her, wondering why Grams sounded so worried.
“You and Piper go get your coats on and meet me out in the car. Quickly!” She added when Prue and Piper hesitated.
When they where all in the car, they hurried to the hospital, ran inside and found Dr. Sherman waiting for them.
“What’s wrong?” Grams asked as they all walked towards the elevator. “What’s happened to Phoebe?”
“Her internal wounds reopened and she lost a lot of blood.” He said as they got in the elevator and went to the 5th floor. As they got out and walked to Phoebe’s room, Dr. Sherman continued to explain. “Our doctors managed to stitch the wounds back up before she lost so much blood that she died, but because of her extreme amounts of blood loss, she has slipped into a coma.”
Prue stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Phoebe lying on the bed, paler than before. She looked so weak. “Oh my god! How can this be happening?” Prue sat down in a chair before she collapsed and just stared at Phoebe’s seemingly lifeless form. As she started to cry, she whispered, “This is all my fault. I’m the reason that this is happening to her.”
Piper sat down next to Prue, trying to comfort her. “It’s ok Prue. Pheebs is strong. She’ll pull through this. You just have to believe in that and have faith.” Both Piper and Prue cried as the held each other.
“Thank you Dr. Sherman.” Grams said as he checked Phoebe’s pulse and breathing.
“I promise, we will do everything we can to get her back.” Dr. Sherman replied as he left the room to leave them alone and give them time to deal with what was going on.
Grams came and sat next to Prue and Piper, holding them both close to her. “Don’t worry my darlings. Everything will be alright. We’ll get through this together and when Phoebe wakes up, we will be right here to help her through this and support her.”
They all stayed by Phoebes side for the rest of the night before they fell asleep. Later, Grams woke them up and took them home.

A few day’s later, Grams was getting ready to go and visit Phoebe before Piper got out of school and Prue off work when the phone started ringing.
Ring….ring…..ri-“Hello?”
“Is this Ms. Penny Halliwell?”
“Yes. May I ask who’s speaking?”
“This is Dr. Sherman and I have some great news.”
“What is it Dr. Sherman?”
“Phoebe has finally woken up. You may want to get down here. She is asking how Prue and Piper are and where you all are.”
“Thank you so much doctor. We’ll be right there.”
Grams hung up the phone and rushed to the car, overcome with happiness. She drove to Piper’s high school and got her out of class. Then she went and picked up Prue at work.
“Why won’t you tell us what’s going on Grams?” Piper asked worried while Grams refused to answer any questions about what was happening on their way to the hospitable, causing Prue and Piper to think that something terrible had happened to their baby sister.
When they got to the hospitable, Prue and Piper became increasingly worried. They went to the elevator to go up to Phoebe’s room. On the third floor, Dr. Sherman got in and Grams whispered in his ear.
“Don’t tell them. I want it to be a surprise.”
“What do you think Grams is hiding?” Piper asked as they walked a little ahead of the two adults. “Do you think something’s happened to Pheebs?”
“I’m not sure.” Prue replied as she opened the door to Phoebe’s hospitable room. “I guess we’re just going to have to wa…” Prue stopped dead in her tracks as she stared in front of her, speechless.
“Prue, what’s wrong?” Piper asked. Then she looked at what Prue was staring so intently at and saw Phoebe lying on her hospitable bed, awake.
Both Prue and Piper just stood there, frozen in place. Phoebe turned her head and smiled weakly at them and they both rushed over to her and gave her a hug and kiss.
“Hi.” Phoebe said weakly as they pulled away from her. “Are you guys okay? No one would tell me anything.”
Piper and Prue just stood there smiling at their baby sister. Finally Prue spoke up. “Were fine. How are you?”
“Tired and sore. How long have I been in here?” She asked.
“A little over a week.” Piper replied. “You scared the hell out of us Pheebs.”
“I am so sorry Phoebe.” Prue said as she sat down next to Phoebe on her bed. “It’s all my fault that this happened to you.”
Phoebe just lay there and looked at her sister for a minute before replying. “No Prue, it’s not your fault. It was just something that happened.”
“But if I had been paying attention to the road, I won’t have run that red light.” Prue argued on the verge of tears.
Grams walked over at this point and gave her youngest granddaughter a hug and kiss. “It’s good to have you back with us Phoebe.” Grams said. “You had us all very worried.
“Good to be back. “So…what’s been happening this last week?” Phoebe asked as if nothing had happened. Grams just laughed and told her that they would tell her everything later. Dr. Sherman left the room to give the family some privacy.
As they filled Phoebe in on the week’s events, Phoebe herself fought with sleep, but was losing terribly as she tried to cover a yawn unsuccessfully. Grams, Prue, and Piper just laughed. Soon after, she was sound asleep and the others just watched her sleep, happy that she was still with them.

Later that night, Phoebe woke up and saw her family sleeping around her bed and she thought to herself that she had the best family in the world. She tried to sit up, but suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot throughout her entire body. She fell back down with a soft cry of pain so as not to wake her family.
Prue suddenly woke up with a feeling that something wasn’t right. She looked over at Phoebe and saw that she had a pillow over her face and heard a muffled sod come from her. “Phoebe?” She asked as she got up. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
Phoebe pulled the pillow from her face and Prue could see her face contorted in pain and that she was crying. Worry washed over her like a curtain and she rushed to Phoebe’s side. “It hurts so much Prue. Make it stop.” Phoebe managed to whisper.
“It’s going to be okay Pheebs. Don’t worry.” Prue replied. Trying to stay calm, she woke Grams up and told her what was happening. Prue then went back to Phoebe and held her as Grams went to get a doctor. Prue then asked again what happened.
“I woke up and saw you guys sleeping.” Phoebe paused for a moment before continuing. “Then I tried to sit up and I felt as if I was going to die, it hurt so much.”
As Prue laid her back down on to her bed, her body tensed as another jolt of almost unbearable pain shot through her body. Phoebe tried to hold in her cry of pain, but failed and let out a muffled sob, this time waking up Piper. Piper, saw Prue looking down at Phoebe with worry etched into her face. “Prue, what’s wrong?” Piper asked getting up and walking over to Phoebe.
Just then, Grams returns with a doctor. The three of them stood back as the doctor checked on Phoebe, trying to find out what was wrong. He asked her some questions quietly and Phoebe managed to answer. After about 10 minutes, the doctor stood up and walked over to Grams, Prue, and Piper. “She’s just experiencing the effects of all the stitching we had to do to close up her internal wounds. Don’t worry. With some rest, her body will heal.”
“Thank you doctor.” Grams said as the doctor left. Prue, Piper, and Grams then went to Phoebe and they gave her a big hug.
“I love you guys.” Phoebe said with tears rolling down her cheeks from pain and love at the same time.
“We love you too, Pheebs.”
