This is my first attempt to write and non Prue/Phoebe story. It takes place after the episode "Hyde School Reunion"

The sun shone brightly in the Victorian manor on a warm afternoon. The occupants of the house were not there but one person was typing vigorously on a laptop. Chris' brow was furrowed as he was reading the information that was displayed on the laptop's screen.

"Gotcha." He said to himself. He clicked the print button and retrieved the paper. Just then, Chris heard the front door open. He quickly exed the window on the computer and opened another one. He folded the piece of paper and put it in his pocket.

"Chris I'm home." He heard his mother's voice.

"In here Mom." Piper smiled as she made her way to the sunroom. It still felt strange for Chris calling her mom, but she loved it. She loved him. Carrying Wyatt in one arm, and a bunch of grocery bags in the other, she made her way to where Chris was.

Looking up, Chris saw his mother struggling to hold the groceries in her hands. "Mom, why didnt you call me? I could have helped carry the groceries in." He took the bags off Piper and set them down on the floor.

"Oh it's ok I can handle them." She shifted Wyatt from one arm to the other. "What are you doing?" She asked him as she looked at the computer screen.

"Just playing computer games." He said casually.

Piper laughed a little. "Oh I didn't know you liked playing games. You seem too serious for that." Chris smiled at Piper.

"Oh trust me you will. I'm addicted to them in the future. Everytime I saw a new game coming out, I always asked you to buy them for me. And if you said no, I'd pull my best sad face and you always caved. You were always soft mom." Piper playfully slapped him.

"I am not soft."

"Yes you are." He smiled once more. Piper noticed how much he had Leo's smile. How she missed him.

Shaking off the sad feeling, she handed Wyatt to Chris.

"Here take your brother for a nap and wash up. I'm going to be cooking dinner soon."

"Don't you think you should rest? I mean you are pregnant with me." He said with a slight smirk.

"Well yes and I have to eat, because you young man have me on weird cravings. So go put your brother down so you can put the groceries away and help me cook." Piper thought for a second. "Do I ask you to help me cook in the future?"

"All the time, but I never got into it, I just loved being in the kitchen with you." Piper smiled. She couldnt believe that she was going to raise the child inside her to be this incredible young man. "Ok I'm going to go upstairs now, I'll be down in a few."

Taking Wyatt to the nursey, he set him down in his crib. He looked at him for a moment then made his way to the attic. Chris reached in his pocket and took out the piece of paper. Reading it over again, he felt anger as he looked at the picture that was on the paper.

"I'm going to get you." He said to the picture. The man in the picture was smiling, almost taunting Chris. He couldnt look at it any longer, so he tossed it on the table that was in the center of the attic.

"Chris, come and help me with these groceries." He heard Piper call for him.

"Coming." He picked up the paper and looked at the picture again. "I'm going to make sure that you die before you can kill my mother." He folded the paper once more and returned it to his pocket. Chris felt so much anger but he shook it off as he heard his mother's voice once again.

"Chris, my patience is running thin."

"Always the impatient one." He smiled as he made his way out of the attic. "I love you Mom, I'm going to make sure no one will hurt you."

Chris walked into the kitchen and found Piper already starting dinner.

"It's about time, I was wondering if you went back to the future or something." Piper joked. Chris smiled.

"No, it took a while for Wyatt to go to sleep." He said as he put the baby monitor on the counter. "So what are you cooking tonight?"

"Um whatever you want." She said as she put a pot on the stove. "What's your favorite meal?" Piper was trying to bond with her son.

"Whatever you cooked, I loved. Well except for anything with green vegetables."

"But those are healthy for you." Piper said so motherish.

Chris laughed. "Yes I know, you always reminded me that everytime you cooked something with green."

Piper smiled. "Well can you handle salad? Or is that too green for you?" She said as she tossed Chris a head of lettuce. "Since you'll be making it."

"Salad is fine." Chris took the plastic bag off the lettuce and began washing it over the sink. He didn't notice the paper had fallen out if his pocket.

"Well maybe I'll make something simple then. Chicken, do you like chicken?"

"Yes mom, I love whatever you cook."

She smiled. "Ok just making sure." Chris went back to washing the lettuce. Piper started chopping the kitchen when she noticed the folded piece of paper that was on the floor. "Hey what's this?" She asked as she bended over and picked it up.

Chris turned around just in time as Piper was about to unfold it. He quickly snatched it away from her. Piper was surprised at Chris' reaction.

"It's nothing." Chris put it back in his pocket and made sure it would stay in there. Piper raised her eyebrows at him in suspicion.

"Ok if it's nothing, why did you take it away from me so quickly?" Chris avoided his mother's gaze. "Chris?"

"Don't worry about it." He finally said. "It's something I'm working on...for the future. I can't tell you what it is."

"Is it dangerous?"

"No." Chris said rather too quickly.

"Chris." She looked him the eyes. Eyes that looked so much his fathers.

"Don't worry Mom, I can take care of myself. I won't get hurt, I promise." He wasn't sure if she would buy that story.

"Ok, I just don't want you to get hurt."

I don't want you to get hurt either, Chris said in his head.
"Don't worry."

"I'm a mother, I have to worry." She said as she ran her hand through Chris' hair. Chris smiled at her.

"I know, and you do a good job of it." Piper laughed. "Well we should get this dinner done before Phoebe and Paige get home." Just as he said that, Phoebe walked through the back door.

"What a day." Phoebe said as she put her things down. "Hi Chris, hi Piper. Hi little Chris." She said to Piper's stomach.

"Ok Phoebe, that's weird." Piper commented. Phoebe looked up at Piper looking at her strangely.

"Yeah that is weird, since Chris is right there." She looked back at Chris who nodded at her.

"So how was your day?"

"Oh my God, long and tiring." She said as she took a seat at the table. "I got so many letters and a majority of them were from like teenagers. And after my retrogression to being a teen myself, I didn't want to give them the wrong advice." She took of her shoes and rubbed her feet. "You know I didn't want any of them stealing police cars or anything like that"

"No we wouldn't want that." Piper said as she recalled teenage Phoebe.

"So what have you two been up to?" Phoebe asked.

"Just cooking dinner."

"Chris I didn't know you cooked."

"I don't, I'm just helping Mom out." Phoebe laughed. "What?"

"Nothing, it's just so weird, you know you calling Piper mom." Phoebe turned to Piper. "Does that make you feel old, Piper?" Piper turned around and gave her a glare.

"Well now it does." Chris laughed. "And what is so funny young man? Do you think I'm old?"

"No, I don't." He said as he tried to supress a laugh. Phoebe watched the mother and son converse and smiled.
Piper and Chris finished making dinner just when Paige got home. They ate as a happy family, but Chris had his mind on one thing.

When dinner was over, Chris made his way back to attic. He took the crystal and map and set it on the table.

Retrieving the piece of paper from his pocket, he unfolded it and set it on the map. He dangled the crystal over the map and focused his energy on the man in the picture. The crystal moved around for a little bit and finally stopped.

Chris looked at the destination. "I got you, you bastard." Taking the piece of paper, he looked at the man again. Feeling so much anger, Chris tore the paper to shreds and chucked it in the garbage. He took a deep breath and looked at the map again. Thinking about the destination he needed to go, Chris orbed out.

Chris found himself in an apartment hallway. Looking at the door that was in front of him, the number read 17.

"Heh, my lucky number, how ironic." He lifted his hand and was about to knock on door when he heard the elevator doors at the end of the hallway open. A man was came out of it and Chris realized it was the man he was looking for.

The man was reading his mail that he didn't see Chris. Chris took that oppurtunity to duck out of the way. He hid behind a wall that was close to the man's apartment. Chris watched as the man took out his key and unlocked his door. Without hesistation, Chris orbed in to the apartment, right behind the door. He took a breath of relief that the man didn’t see him. Chris watched as the man went into his bedroom.

Chris looked around the apartment. He was disgusted to see all the awards that were hanging up on the wall. His name shined with all the plaques on the wall: Dr. Nicholas Sherman. His name made Chris cringed in hatred.

"I don't think a doctor should be rewarded for murder." Chris said to himself. He heard Nicholas from the other room and he quickly orbed out.

He found himself back in the attic staring at the face of his aunt Paige. Paige’s eyebrows were raised in question.

“Where’d you orb off to?” She asked him.

“Nowhere.”

“Ok.” Paige scrutinized her nephew. Chris almost cowered under Paige’s scrunity. “Does this nowhere have a name?”

Chris sighed. “Look, you know that I can’t say anything about what I’m doing, it can alter the future.”

“Yeah but once again, isn’t that why you’re here?” Chris didn’t answer. He was sick of being asked questions that he could never answer. “Ok fine, was it Wyatt related?”

“Yes, it was.”

“Oh, so do you have any more leads on who might turn him?” Paige got up and went to the Book of Shadows.

“No not yet, but when I do, I’ll make sure that I’ll tell you guys.” He watched as Paige flipped through the book. “Is there a demon on the loose?” The last thing he needed was a demon to attack while he was on his mission.

Paige looked up. “Oh no, I’m looking for a magical remedy that will cure headaches. Piper has one and she can’t take any asprin because, well she’s pregnant.” Chris immediately went into worry mode.

“Is she ok? Is there something wrong?”

“Chris calm down, it’s just a headache.” She continued to flip through the pages.

“Are you sure it isn’t anything serious? She won’t have to go to the hospital or anything?” That was the last place Chris wanted her to go. Paige looked up and saw the worry that was evident in Chris’ eyes.

“She’s fine, Chris. I assure you.” She looked back down at the book. “Here we go.” Paige found the thing she was looking for and went to go start on it. Chris left the attic and went to go find Piper. He quietly knocked on his mother’s door. He didn’t want to disturb her.

“Mom?” He slowly opened the door and found that Piper was sitting by the window. “Are you feeling ok?” He walked towards her. Piper turned around and looked at her son.

“Yeah I’m fine. It’s just a little headache.”

“Can I do anything?”

“Um actually you can, will you go to the club and make sure it’s still there. I was planning on going there myself but this headache interfered with that plan. My manager is out of town and Phoebe and Paige are busy here. So can you do it? Just be there until closing.”

Chris didn’t want to leave Piper. He wanted to make sure that she was ok and that she didn’t need to go the hospital. He reluctantly agreed he would go.

“Sure, just get better.” He kissed his mom on the cheek and left the room. Orbing out, he orbed into the office of P3. No one was there yet so it was safe to orb in and out. He opened the door and checked to see if everything was ready.

Chris’ mind was occupied by Nicholas Sherman. He wanted to kill him but he knew he couldn’t. His mind was so occupied that he didn’t even notice the time. Before he knew it, the club was filling up with customers. Chris was working the bar, serving drinks to the paying customers. He was happy that the club was doing well.

“This is a great club, do you own it?” An attractive young lady asked Chris.

“Actually no, it’s my mom’s. I’m just helping her out.”

“Oh, so are you a mama’s boy?” She said eating the olive from her martini. Chris was not interested in the girl who was blaintly flirting with him.

“Yeah I guess.” The girl obviously couldn’t take a hint.

“So what are you doing later?” She said batting her eyes, but Chris wasn’t paying attention. He saw someone from the corner of his eye entering the club.

“That bastard.”

“What?”

“Look I have other customers to attend to.” He left the girl who was obviously offended. “Who the hell let that man in here?” He asked one of the other bartenders.

“Who?”

“Him!” Chris said pointing towards the enterance.

“Chris it’s an open club. Why? Do you know him?”

“Yeah I do.” He walked away from the bar and towards the man. No Chris you can’t do anything now, he said to himself. “Soon.” He said. He watched as Nicholas Sherman was laughing and smiling with other people in the club. He walked towards Chris, and accidently bumped into him.

“Oh I’m sorry son.” Chris gave him a glare and didn’t say anything. Sherman felt uncomfortable and walked away.

“Yeah sorry. I’ll make you sorry.”

Piper leaned back against her chair and drank the concoction that Paige had made for her. Her head was pounding and she didn't know why. She prayed it had nothing to do with her pregnancy. She just closed her eyes when someone opened her door.

"How you feeling Piper?" Paige asked as she walked towards Piper. "Is that working for you?" She asked indicating the remedy she made.

"Um, I don't know, I can't seem to keep it down. Chris here doesn't like very much I guess." She put her hand on her stomach as she felt her baby kick.

"So you still have your headache?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah, and I don't know why." Piper put her hand on her head trying to get some relief.

"Well I'm going to let you have some rest. Call if you need anything." Paige turned around to leave.

"Wait Paige." Paige turned back around.

"Yeah?" Piper looked at her suspiciously.

"You didn't just come in here to check on me, you wanted to tell me something."

"No, I didn't." Piper narrowed her eyes at her. "All right stop with the third degree. How the hell do you do that anyways?"

"Years of practice, now spill."

"Fine." She sat down across Piper. "I didn't want to worry you or anything especially since you have a headache, but when I came it into the attic, Chris was orbing in."

"Ok?" Piper said needing more clarification.

"Like he's been somewhere."

"Like he's going off again without telling us?" Paige nodded. "Did he say where he was?"

"He said that it was another Wyatt expedition." Piper looked at her sister.

"But you don't believe him?" Paige ran her hand through her hair.

"Well it's just seems like he was hiding something, and being in this family for almost three years, my intuition has improved." Piper became worried.

"Where do you think he was?"

"I don't know, but wherever it was, it must have been eventful. There was something in his eyes. It was almost like..."

"Like what?" Piper asked getting more worried.

"Anger."

"Anger? What would he be angry about?"

"I don't know." Paige saw how exhausted Piper looked and she hated to give Piper more worry. "Look I'm sorry for worrying you, you should get some rest." She stood up and started to leave.

"Paige, I can't rest, I'm worried about Chris." She rubbed her temples, her headache was getting worse. "Would you call him at the club and tell him to close early? I want him home." Paige looked down at her distraught sister.

"Sure." She kissed Piper on the head and left. Piper took a deep breath and tried to ignore the throbbing in her head. Paige picked up the phone and dialed the club's number.

Chris had been watching Sherman all night. Watching him laugh and converse with people at the club. It made him sick. He was tempted to do something to his drink, but he didn't. He didn't want to hurt him just yet. The ringing phone interupted his thoughts. He picked it up after the third ring.

"P3 Chris speaking."

"Hey Chris it's Paige." Chris immediately became worried.

"What's wrong? Is mom ok? Did something happpen?"

"Whoa Chris calm down, Piper is fine. She still has her headache but other than that she's fine." Chris breathed a sigh of relief. "Anyways, she told me to tell you to close the club early. I guess she doesn't like it when she's not there." Paige avoided telling him the real reason why. She didn't want him to make an excuse to leave to avoid their questions.

"Yeah sure, I will."

"Thanks."

"Tell mom to feel better." With that he hung up. He looked back to the crowd. Sherman had already left. "Damnit!"

Paige put the phone back down and went to her room. She passed Phoebe on the way.

"Hey is Piper feeling any better?" Phoebe asked.

"Unfortunetly no."

"Oh, that's not good. Who was on the phone?"

"Piper told me to call Chris." Phoebe gave her a confused look.

"Why?" Paige filled in Phoebe about Chris and how she found him orbing in in the attic. "So you think it's something else?"

"Well yeah, I mean that kid has so many secrets, we don't even know that much about him." Phoebe agreed.

"Well, we'll figure it out. We always do sooner or later. I'm going to check on Piper. Goodnight."

"Night." Phoebe walked to Piper's room and gently knocked on Piper's door.

"Piper?" When she got no answer, she figured she was asleep. Phoebe slowly opened the door. "Piper?" Phoebe's heart nearly stopped as she found Piper passed out on the floor. "Oh my God, Paige!" Paige quickly ran into the room.

"What happened?" Her voiced screamed worry.

"We need to get Piper to the hospital now!." Paige put her hands on both Phoebe and Piper. "No we can't orb, we have to drive." Paige help Phoebe as they got Piper into the car.

The crowd was just dispersing when Chris heard Phoebe's call. "Oh my God." He dropped the glass he was holding and quickly ran outside to the back alley.

"Chris what the hell?" He heard a bartender asked him as he ran off. Chris quickly looked around to see if anyone was around and orbed out. He orbed into behind a wall of the San Francisco Memorial Hospital. He ran down to the corridor when he finally spotted Paige and Phoebe.

"What happened? Where's mom? Is she ok?" Chris could hardly catch his breath. Phoebe put her hands on his shoulders to try to calm him.

"We don't, I found Piper passed out in her room, we brought her here. The doctor is with her right now." She explained to her worried nephew.

"Phoebe here comes the doctor." Paige said.

Chris' heart nearly stopped as he saw the man walking towards them.

"Ladies, my name is Doctor Nicholas Sherman."

It took Chris all of his strength to keep control. He watched Sherman shake hands with Paige and Phoebe. He took a step back fearing he might attack the doctor he was any closer. Chris hadnt even noticed he was holding his breath and his fists were clenched tightly together. He calmed down and listened to what the man he hated had to say.

“Is our sister going to be fine, doctor?” Phoebe asked.

“Piper just had a little fainting spell. She’s fine now, but she’s clearly overworked and exhausted. She shouldn’t have this much stress, it’s not healthy for her or the baby.”

“Stop.” Chris didn’t realized he had spoken. He couldn’t stand listening to this man talking about his mother let alone his unborn self. Phoebe and Paige looked at him suspiciously.

“Excuse me?” Sherman asked confused.

“I wish I could.” Chris said with venom in his voice. Sherman looked even more confused. Phoebe and Paige were as equally if not more confused as the doctor.

“I’m sorry but have we met?” The doctor asked not remembering Chris from the club. Chris just glared at him.

“Chris what is the matter with you?” Phoebe asked trying to get some answers to the questions inside her head. She now knew what Paige was talking about earlier. Chris was acting strange.

“Nothing. I have to go.” He looked at Sherman one more time before leaving quickly.

“Chris!” Paige called after him, but he didn’t turn around. She and Phoebe returned their attention back to the doctor. By this time, Sherman was more confused than ever. “Uh, sorry about that, he’s probably just worried about Piper.”

“Oh, who is he, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Piper’s son.” Paige answered without thinking. Phoebe gave her a look. Paige realized her mistake and gave Phoebe an apologetic look.

“Piper’s son? So this is going to be Piper’s second child?” Sherman was now curious. The young man he saw looked too old to be Piper’s son.

“Yeah…..sort of.” Phoebe said. Thinking about Chris being here and him being in Piper not even born, gave Phoebe a headache. “So can we see Piper?” Phoebe desperately wanted to get out of this conversation. Thing were as awkward as it was. With Chris’ odd behavior towards the doctor, and Paige telling him that Chris was Piper’s son, she wanted to divert Sherman’s curiousity.

“Yes you can.” Sherman moved out of the way and let Phoebe and Paige pass. He watched them as they walked down the hall and toward’s Piper’s room. “Strange family.” He shrugged his shoulders and walked to his office.

Phoebe and Paige made their way to Piper’s room. “Hey honey, how are you feeling?” Phoebe and Paige stood by Piper’s bed and held her hand.
“I’m fine, I guess. I’m just really exhausted.” Piper ran her hand through her hair. “At least my headaches gone.”

“Piper you have to take it easy, the doctor said that exhaustion caused this. You need to take care of yourself especially with that boy growing inside you.” Phoebe scolded.

“I know.” Piper said as she put her hand on her pregnant stomach.

“Yeah Piper, I mean we wouldn’t want a repeat of what happened when you were pregnant with Wyatt. I mean talk about déjà vu.” Paige commented.

“Yeah, but with one person missing.” Piper said sadly. She wanted Leo there, she needed him there. She couldn’t go through this alone. Phoebe and Paige exchanged looks. They looked at Piper who was about to cry.

“We’re here Piper.” Phoebe said as she put her hand on top of Pipers. Paige followed and out her hand on top of Phoebe’s.

“I know, thank you.” She wiped at her eyes. “Where’s Wyatt?”

“We put him in the childern’s ward. A nurse was with him. Do you want me to go get him?” Phoebe asked.

“Yeah, I need him close. Where’s Chris?” Paige looked at Phoebe. “What? Did something happened?” Piper asked getting worried.

“No nothing happened Piper, don’t worry.” They didn’t want Piper to have a relapse. “He was here, but he said he had to go. I’ll be right back, I’m going to go get Wyatt.” Phoebe didn’t want to leave Paige to explain to Piper, but she also wanted her nephew close.

“Go? Go where?”

“He didn’t say, he just left. I’m sure he’ll be back.” Paige left out the part of Chris’ behavior towards Dr. Sherman. “Well we should let you get some rest. We’ll take care of Wyatt.”

“No, I want to see him first before you guys leave. When do I get to go home?”

“You just have to stay one night.” Phoebe returned with a sleeping Wyatt in her arms. She gently handed him to Piper. Wyatt didn’t even stir as his head found Piper’s shoulder. She kissed him on the head and handed him back to Phoebe. “We’ll pick you up tomorrow Piper.” Piper was already falling asleep.

“Night guys, take care of my boys. Both of them.” Piper closed her eyes and fell asleep. Phoebe and Paige quietly left the room.

“Ok now we REALLY need to figure out what’s going on with Chris. We don’t need to worry Piper anymore.” Paige and Phoebe made their way out of the hospital and to the car. “Any ideas?” Phoebe opened the backseat, and put Wyatt in the car seat. She buckled him up and made sure he was comfortable.

“Well whatever it is, it has to do with that doctor. Did you see the way he was acting towards him?” Paige opened the passenger seat and got in. Phoebe closed the door quietly in the backseat and got in the driver’s side.

“I know. What was that about?” She turned the ignition and pulled out of the hospital’s parking lot.

“I have no idea. Let’s just go home and get some sleep. We’ll figure it out tomorrow.”

Sherman closed the file on his desk and turned off his lamp. He took off his lab coat and put on his jacket. He was about to leave his office when he heard something. “Is anyone there?” He asked the dark room. He saw a figure step out of the shadows. “Who’s there?” The figure walked towards him.

“Hello Doctor.”

“Oh it’s you. My office is closed, can I help you with anything?”

Chris took another step closer. “You sure can.”

The doctor became nervous. There was something in Chris’ voice that made chills run up and down his spine. Sherman watched as the young man took a step closer into the moonlight. “Look, Chris is it? It’s very late, whatever that you have to ask me, can it wait until tomorrow? Your mother is doing fine.” He started walking to the door but Chris blocked him. “What are you doing?” His voice was evident with fear.

“Don’t talk about my mother.” Chris’ voice was an eerie calm but still frightening. The doctor regained his composure trying to not show Chris how truly scared he was.

“Look, I don’t really know what your problem is, but if you don’t leave right now, I’m going to call security.” Once again the doctor tried to get to the door. This time he turned the door knob, but Chris used his powers to close it. “What the hell?” Sherman tried to pull the door open but it wouldn’t budge. He turned around to face Chris. “What the hell did you do?”

Chris gave a cynical laugh. “Listen doctor.” He stressed the last word with disgust. “I need to talk to you about something. Can we sit down?” He sounded like a crazy man. Sherman was quivering with fear. Chris was enjoying the fact that Sherman was terrified. He pulled out a chair from the desk offering it to Sherman, but he just stood there. “You don’t want to sit down?” Chris was so consumed by his anger that he didn’t know he was acting like this. “Ok let’s make this quick then.” He moved so fast that Sherman didn’t have time to move. Before he knew it, Chris was right in front of his face. He could feel Chris’ breath on his face.

“What do you want?” Chris laughed again. It was almost hysterical. Sherman tried for the door again but Chris banged his fist against it. His laughing subsided.

“What do I want?” He lightly tapped Sherman’s face. “Funny you should ask.” A evil smile appeared on Chris’ face. “What do I want? Hmm, let’s see.” He turned around and looked around the room and quickly turned back around again facing Sherman. “I want to see you burn in hell, where you belong.” Sherman backed away but he was already at the wall.

“What did I do to you?” The doctor was trying to fathom why this complete stranger would want harm upon him.

“No, no, no. It’s not what you did to me, it’s what you’re going to do to me.” Sherman was bewildered. Chris took the oppurtunity to explain. “Well see in about 14 years or so, you’ll make a deal. A deal with evil. You see you lose a lot in the future and you’ll get depressed so you’d do anything to get it all back. Even selling your worrthless soul.” Chris paused and watched the doctor. Sherman’s face was pale. Chris smiled and continued. “You’ll make a pact with a great evil in which if he gave you everything you wanted, you would give him your soul. But the dumbass you are, you didn’t know that evil always wants more than that.”

“What?” Sherman said without even thinking

“Excuse me, I was not finished!” Sherman closed his mouth and let the crazed man talk. “He wanted you to make a sacrifice. A human sacrifice. You had to deliberately kill one of your patients.” Tears were forming in his eyes. He walked towards Sherman who came to a conclusion that Chris was clearly insane. “And do you know what patient you’ll sacrifice?” Chris reached behind him and touched the athamane that was tucked in his back pocket. He had taken it from the attic earlier. Sherman didn’t say anything. He was too scared to. “Do you?!” Chris screamed.

Tears sprang from his eyes. Anger was building inside him and it was surmounting. Sherman shook his head. He didn’t know what to do. He was trapped in his own office with a psychotic person who thinks that he was going to kill someone in the future.

“No I don’t.” Sherman’s voice was shaking and barely audible.

“My mother!” Chris screamed. He grabbed the athamane from his pocket and held it over his head. Sherman didn’t see the knife in the dark. Before Chris could bring it down to Sherman, he felt a sudden sharp pain in his heart. He dropped the knife and clutched his heart. He screamed in pain and fell to the floor. Chris couldn’t catch his breath. And without his own will, he suddenly orbed out. Sherman stood there shocked.

Piper was tossing and turning in the hospital bed. She had a terrible feeling something was happening, but she didn’t know what. She was stuck between the realm of dream and reality and she couldn’t escape. She kept seeing Chris in her dream. Piper tried to reach him but he’d dissapear the minute she got to him. She didn’t know what it meant. The machines in the room showed how the dream was affecting Piper. Her heart rate was rising. Piper suddenly awoke and sat up. She felt her heart beating in her chest. The terrible feeling consumed her. She didn’t know what was happening to her.

Piper reached for the call button when she doubled over in pain. She clutched her stomach. Fear consumed her. She prayed nothing was happening to her baby, but the pain was blinding. Tears of pain slid down her face as she desperately tried to reach for the call button, but she couldn’t. Piper now scared than ever, but to her surprise she saw the familiar lights of someone orbing in. “Leo?”

Piper was ever more surprised when she saw Chris orb in. He was on the floor clutching his chest in pain. “Chris?” The pain in her stomach went away all of the sudden. Chris stood up.

“Mom?” Chris looked around at his surroundings. “How did I get here?” He asked Piper.

“You orbed.”

“I did?” Chris realized that the pain had stopped. Chris looked at Piper. “Are you ok? What happened?” He helped Piper settle back into the bed.

“To tell you the truth, I have no idea.” She laid back down and looked up at Chris. She felt relieved to see him. That terrible feeling went away the minute Chris orbed in.

“I know the feeling.” Chris was so confused. How could I orb without me knowing it? He asked himself. Chris then remembered Sherman who was still in his office. He probably already got out. Damnit, I’m screwed. Chris didn’t know what came over him when he was in that office. All his intentions were to prevent Sherman from making that pact, but his anger consumed him.Chris knew he went too far, and he knew he would get caught now. He had to clean up his mess.

“Chris?” Piper’s voice interupted his thoughts. He looked at his mother.

“Yeah?”

“Where were you?” Chris became nervous. “Before you orbed in, where were you?”

“I was at the manor.” He lied. “Then I felt this really sharp pain in my chest, and before I knew it I was here.” Chris looked at Piper, who had this look that said she was thinking of something. “What?”

“That’s really weird because before you orbed in, I was having this dream. I woke up and I felt pain in my stomach. I was so scared but then you orbed in, and the pain went away.” She looked at Chris who was just as confused.

“My pain went away too.” What does this mean? Was it just a coincidence that the minute I was about to kill a man, I orbed to my mother?

Piper came home the next day. She was glad to be back home. She was a little confused on why the doctor who had treated her wasn't there to check on her before she left. Chris helped his mom out the car and up the stairs to the manor.

"Ok mom, you promise you will take it easy? For your sake and well...for mine." He said concerned. Piper gave him a "I know" look.

"I will take it easy, but I really want to figure out what happened to us at the hospital."

"Yeah so do I, but let me worry about that."

Chris was also worrying about Sherman. He hasn't seen him since he orbed out of his office. RIght before he was going to kill him. Chris couldn't believe that he was that close in killing a man. It scared Chris to know that his anger consumed him so much that it brought him to the point of murder. He didn't want to be like that, but he also wanted his mother alive.

"Get your aunts to help you with it." Piper told Chris. "I don't want you to go do it by yourself." Paige's words were still in Piper's head whens he said Chris was up to something. She didn't want Chris to keep anymore secrets from her.

Chris didn't like this idea one bit. As curious as he was on what really happened at the hospital, he wanted th concentrate on Sherman. He didn't want Sherman to get a chance to tell anyone what happened between the two of them. People would think he was crazy, Chris thought. He opened the door to the manor and let Piper in. Phoebe and Paige were there waiting for them.

"Welcome home, Piper!" Phoebe yelled. She ran to Piper and gave her a hug.

"She was gone one day, Phoebe." Paige said laughing at her.

"Yeah but a lot happened that one day." Piper said getting serious. Chris was hovering in the background. He didn't want Phoebe and Paige involved. He wanted to do this all by himself. Piper told Phoebe and Paige what happened at the hospital.

"So the minute Chris orbed in, both your pain went away?" Phoebe asked clarifying.

"Yeah but where the hell did that sudden pain come from?" Chris was still hovering in the corner. He hadn't spoken a word. Paige noticed his silence and looked at him suspiciously. Chris, feeling like he was being watched, looked back at her.

"Where did you orb from?" Paige asked him. Chris got nervous.

"From here." Paige squinted her eyes at him.

"Really? Phoebe and I were home all night, we didn't see you once." This got Piper's and Phoebe's attention as they turned to Chris.

"Yeah Chris, we were home all night." Chris looked from one sister to the other.

"I was in the attic. I orbed in when you guys were already asleep. I didn't want to wake you so I was quiet." Chris lied. Hopefully, that was the right thing to say.

"Oh." Paige had to give him that. They were asleep, so he could have orbed in without them knowing. Still, she was very skeptic.

Chris didn't want to be there any longer. He needed to find Sherman. "I have to go." He said abruptly.

"Go? Go where?" Piper asked, but he already orbed out. "Chris!" She yelled at his retreating orbs. "I swear he's taking so much after his father!" Piper took a deep breath and calmed herself down. "What's going on with that boy?" She asked her sisters.

"I don't know, we have two thing to worry about now. Chris' behavior and what happened at the hospital." Phoebe said. Both her and Paige paced the room, trying to rack their brains for anything that could be a clue. "Chris has been the attic a lot, right?"

"Well so he says."

"Yeah, but that's where he was when you saw him orb in that one time remember? He had to be doing something in there. We could start there."

"He said that it was all Wyatt related." Piper said.

"Yeah Piper, but do you really believe that? I mean all the other Wyatt expeditions, he had at least told us something."

Piper thought for a second. "You're right, let's go the attic."

The three sisters made their way up the stairs to the attic. When they got there, they looked around. Everything still looked the same, like no one has touched anything.

"There has to be something." Phoebe made her way to the Book of Shadows. She looked at the page it was open to. "Nothing here, the page is still on the same page from our last vanquish.

Paige made her way to the potions. She looked to see if any of them have been used. "Nothing here also. He hasn't used any potions of any kind."

Piper made her way to map. She looked at where the crystal was. "Uh guys, I think this is going to be a Eureka moment." Paige and Phoebe went over to where the map was. They looked at the address where the crystal was pointing. "Any one heard of the place?"

"No, but you're right Piper, it is a Eureka moment." Phoebe took a piece of paper and wrote down the location. "So what do we do, just go there and see what it is?"

"No, from the look of where it is, it looks like a neighborhood. It's probably someone's house." Paige clarified.

"Someone's house? Is Chris going after someone mortal?" Piper asked to no one in general. Phoebe and Paige were thinking of anything that could lead them to the person Chris is afer. A light switch suddenly turned on in Phoebe and Paige's head.

"Sherman!" They said at the same time.

"Who?" Piper asked.

"Doctor Sherman, the doctor that treated you. Chris was acting really...weird when we were talking to him. It was almost like he wanted to kill him." Paige explained.

"And you wait til now to tell me this?"

"We didn't want to worry you."

"Too late."

"Sorry."

"It's ok whatever, but we can't be positive that it's this doctor that Chris is after."

"Yeah but it's the only lead we've got."

"Ok, so let's go. Um, driving or orbing?"

"Driving, I might get too dizzy if we orb." Paige and Phoebe helped Piper out of the attic. "Remind me to kick Chris' ass when we find out what's going on."

Chris orbed in into Sherman's apartment. He found that Sherman was packing. He had a suitcase open and his clothes were everywhere.

"Going somewhere?" Sherman jumped at the sound of Chris' voice.

"You stay the hell away from me! What the hell are you?" He backed away from Chris, as Chris was walking forward.

"Wherever you will go doctor, I will find you."

"Just leave me alone, you're crazy." Chris shrugged his shoulders.

"I guess I am." Chris took another step forward, but then he heard someone knock on the door.

"Dr. Sherman? It's me Piper Halliwell."

Chris panicked. He immdiately put his hand over Sherman’s mouth. “Not a word, or you’ll be sorry.” With that he orbed out.

“Dr. Sherman?” Piper continued knocking. Sherman straightened himself out and went to the door. He opened it to find Piper and her two sisters standing there.

“P.p.piper.” He stammered. “What are you girls doing here?” He was actually relieved that they came when they did. The sisters looked at him suspiciously. They could tell he was definitely on edge.

“We needed to ask you something important.” They decided not to beat around the bush. Sherman moved out of the way to let them in.

“Why didn’t you just call the hospital?”

“We did, but they said you never checked in, so we came here instead.” Sherman got nervous. After all this was the family of the guy who was trying to kill him.

“How did you know where I lived? They don’t give out that information at the hospital.” He backed away slowly.

“Listen doctor, we’re just here to ask you some questions.” Phoebe said with caution. The doctor obviously went through some ordeal. They took a step towards him as he took a step back. He almost tripped over his couch.

“You’re with him! I know you are!”

“Him?” Paige asked. Sherman pointed to Piper.
“You’re psychotic son! You’re out to get me too!”

“Hey!” Piper was quick to defend Chris. “What did Chris do to you?”

“Just stay the hell away from me. You and your family. Go away!” Sherman was breaking. He was a paranoid man. Phoebe turned to her sisters.

“Maybe we should leave, I think he confirmed our suspicions.” She led Piper and Paige out of the door. They stood in the hallway, trying to digest the information they just received. “With no doubt about it, Chris was definitely here. Now the next question is why?”

“I don’t know, but did you see the way Sherman was acting? What the hell Chris do?” Paige asked.

“Well I guess we have to ask him.” The sisters exited the apartment building and went home. Chris was standing in the corner listening to every word. He was furious at Sherman for blabbing his mouth. He orbed back into the apartment. To his dismay, Sherman wasn’t there.

“What?” Chris asked confused. He went into Sherman’s bedroom and found that the window was open. “Fire escape. Damn.” He suddenly heard the calls of the sisters. “No, I’m not going”

“Chris we know you hear us, get your ass home right now!” Chris heard in his head. He knew he had to get out of there. He tried his hardest to ignore the voices calling him. “Chris!!”

“Damnit!” Chris said. He orbed away to a place where he could find peace. He was surprised when he found himself on the Golden Gate Bridge. “I guess I do take after my father.” Chris was relieved that the sisters stopped trying to call him. He sat down and looked out into the city. It seemed so peaceful, no one knew of the real horrors that went around in the city. “Talk about ignorance being bliss.” Chris said to himself. He was in a conundrum. He didn’t know what to do with Sherman. He feared he had gone too far. “I just don’t want to lose her.” He looked up to the sky. “I’m NOT going to lose her, you hear me! I’ve lost too much already, I’m not going to lose her too! Do you hear me?!” Chris felt the his tears fall down his face. “Get yourself together Chris, no one cares up there.”

“Some of us do.” Chris was taken by surprise as he saw a woman standing next to him.

“Who the hell are you?” Chris got up and looked at the woman. She had long dark hair, and the bluest eyes. She seemed familiar, but Chris didn’t know why.

“Let’s just say I’m your guardian angel.” Chris looked at her skeptical.

“Right, what do you want?” The woman looked at Chris and smiled.

“Chris, don’t seek revenge against Sherman.” Chris became angry.

“What the hell do you know?”

“A lot, but do you think that’s what your mother would want?”

“Sherman is the reason I don’t have a mother in the future!”

“But you came back here to change it.”

“And killing him will change it.”

“Then you’ll be a killer, is that the son that Piper will raise? You’re not a killer Chris. I know how much you love your mother. Talk to her. Love is stronger than hate, why did you think it stopped you from killing Sherman the first time? Love, it pulled you away and brought you to your mother.” Realization hit Chris like a ton of bricks. That’s why he orbed out when he did. Piper must of felt his anger and in turn made him feel pain of hatred, but love conquered it and orbed him away. Chris looked out into the ocean.

“What am I suppose to do?” He asked defeated

“Love’s the answer Chris, follow your heart, it will lead you to the right place.”

“Thanks, you don’t know how you much you saved me right now.” Chris looked up but the woman was gone. He felt a peace within him. Taking a deep breath he orbed out. He orbed back into the manor where he found three very angry faces glaring at him. “I can explain.” He started.

“Oh you better. Sit down.” Piper nearly barked. Chris did what his mother said and sat down. Paige and Phoebe were standing in front of him as they all waited for him to begin. “Well?”

“Ok, I was after Sherman—”

“We know that, but why?” Phoebe interupted. Chris looked at them. He didn’t want to tell Paige and Phoebe, he just wanted to tell his mother.

“Um, if you guys don’t mind, I kinda just want to tell mom. It’s kind of personal.” Piper was surprised. Paige and Phoebe looked at her for approval. She nodded her head and they left the room.

“Ok Chris, what is this about?” She asked. The anger in her voice was gone. It was filled with love and concern. Chris sat across from Piper and looked into her eyes. That woman’s voice was in his head. “Love’s the answer.” Chris swallowed. It’s now or never. “Mom, Dr. Sherman was the man who was going to kill you in the future.” Piper sucked in her breath. “And I wanted him dead. I couldn’t stand seeing him alive. So I tracked him down.” Chris told Piper everything. “I just didn’t want to lose you Mom, but I knew I was losing myself. The anger was consuming me.” Piper looked at her son.

”Chris, killing Sherman wouldn’t solve anything. It would have turned you into a killer and then I would lose you.” Chris recognized those words.

“That’s what my guardian angel said.”

“Your guardian angel?” Piper asked confused.

“Yeah, she was the one who made me realize what I was doing was wrong. I didn’t know who she was, but she reminded so much of you.” Piper smiled at him, and drew him into a hug.

“You know you have to clean up your mess, you need to find Sherman, and erase his memory. I think we have some of that magic dust whitelighters use.” Chris nodded his head.

“Ok mom, I will.” Chris got up and made his way to the attic. On his way he passed by a picture frame that he never seemed to notice. He picked it up and looked at the person in it. “Mom who’s this?” He showed Piper the picture. Piper looked at the picture and smiled.

“That’s your aunt Prue, my big sister. She died three years ago.” Chris’ eyes were wide.

“That was her.”

“What?”

“That was her mom, my guardian angel, it was Prue.” Chris smiled at his mom who had tears in her eyes. “I love you mom.”

“I love you too.”
