Ever since you were young, you were the best at everything. Everyone praised you with every accomplishment. People looked up to you. They used you as a precedent of good works. You were just the best. You were used to that. But what if one time, someone stole your limelight. Suddenly they were being the one praised for their accomplishments. They became the center of attention. Nobody noticed you anymore. How would you handle that? You don't. You get consume with your jealously and envy. But what if it got too far? So far that you'd do anything to get back what this person stole. You become green with envy.

Envy. It's one of the seven deadly sins. It's an intense feeling you can have. But when the feeling consumes you, the outcome is disastorous. When the feeling is towards one person, you'd do anything to get rid of them. Your envy becomes your ally and it becomes that person's enemy. But what if that person is your own sister?

Phoebe Halliwell stumbled through the door of the manor. Her hands were filled with numerous letters from her readers at The Bay Mirror. The “Ask Phoebe” column was a hit. Phoebe sometimes couldn’t believe that she had this job. She spent a majority of her life being the slacker with no job. Now she is working at a newspaper being one of the most popular columnist in the city. Almost dropping everything she was holding, Phoebe finally called out to her sisters.

“Prue, Piper, Paige! Anybody home? I can really use some help.” Paige emerged from the living room and walked towards Phoebe.

“Whoa that is a lot of letters.” Paige took some letters from Phoebe as they walked to the living room.

“Yeah I know. I get more and more every week. I just wish I could answer all of them.” Phoebe put her things down and sat on the couch. She was exhausted from a hard day at work and she had to take most of it home with her. “Where is everybody? Are you the only one home?”

“No Piper is at the club and Prue’s in the basement developing another role of film. She’s waiting for everyone to come home because apparently she has some big news or something. And here I am dying of suspense since I was the first one home. She won’t tell me unless everyone else is home.”

“She has big news? What is she pregnant or something? Phoebe said with a laugh.

“Right with who’s baby? Her invisible boyfriend?” Paige joined the laughter.

“Who’s invisible boyfriend?” Phoebe and Paige turned around and saw Prue standing there. They stopped laughing.

“Um, nobody’s.” Prue looked at the stack of letters that were sitting by Phoebe.

“Geez Phoebs, they’re going to have you working all night aren’t they?”

“Yeah I know, but it’s my job.” Phoebe laughed.

“What’s so funny?”

“It’s just I said ‘my job.’ I never thought that I would ever have a job. Anyways, so Paige says that you have big news. Care to share?”

Prue smiled. “No, I want to wait until everyone’s here. So you’ll have to wait until Piper gets home.”

Phoebe whined. “Oh come on Prue. You know how impatient I can get.”

“No.”

“See I told you. Now you see what I had to go through.” Paige said.

“Fine be that way.”

Prue laughed at Phoebe’s childlike behavior. “I have to develop the rest of the photos downstairs. Paige, want to help me?”

“Sure, maybe I can get it out of you.”

“Don’t bet on it.” Prue and Paige left the living room and made their way to the basement.

“Fine! I’ll just stay here and answer these gazillion letters. When Piper gets home, you’re going to tell us right away!” Phoebe yelled after them. She sighed and opened her first letter.

“Dear Phoebe,
First of all I just want to say how much of a fan I am of your column. I think you give the best advice in the whole world…”

Phoebe smiled. She loved how she can affect people in a good way. Well at least in a non-magical way. She also loved her growing popularity. Now because of the fame, but because the more popular she got, the more people she helped. Phoebe loved helping people.

Prue was so excited to tell her sisters of her news. She had received the biggest assignment in her photography career. Her editor have given her the assignment to photograph not one but two famous Hollywood actors who were coming to San Francisco for a fund raiser. If her editor liked her work, he would send her to Hollywood for a week as a photographer for 415 magazine. She was also allowed to take her sisters with her. Prue was so happy. She couldn’t wait to tell her sisters.

“So Prue what’s the big news?” Paige asked again. She was hoping she would catch Prue off guard as they were working.

“Nice try Paige.”

“Come on, who knows when Piper will be home. Can’t you at least tell me? You know that I’m your favorite sister.”

Prue laughed. “Yes Paige, that is true. You are one of my three favorite sisters. Now stop asking me and help me with developing pictures.”

“Fine. I never liked you anyways.”

Prue playfully hit her. “I swear sometimes you’re worse that Phoebe, you know that?”

“Yes and that’s why you love me.”

“Ha, right.” It was Paige’s turn to playfully hit her sister.

Phoebe was typing away at her laptop answering as many letters as she could. She was so busy that she didn’t even hear the front door opening and closing announcing the arrival of her other sister.

“I’m home.” Piper called from the foyer. Phoebe quickly ran to the door giving Piper no time to even take off her coat. She grabbed her arm and dragged her to the living room. “Phoebe what the hell?”

“Paige! Prue! Piper’s home!”

Upon hearing this, Paige also grabbed Prue by the arm and dragged her upstairs.

“Paige! My arm doesn’t come off!” Paige ignored her and continued upstairs. Her and Phoebe dragged their older sisters to the living room almost at the same time. “It must be a youngest thing.” Prue said to Piper.

“Must be or just a crazy thing. Anybody want to tell me what’s going on?” She rubbed the arm where Phoebe dragged her by.

“Prue has some big news and she was waiting for everyone to come home so she can tell us. So now that you’re home, Prue tell us!” Phoebe said in one breath. Paige was standing next to her nodding her head vigorously in agreement with her.

“Calm down. At least let Piper rest for a little. She did just get home.”

“Thanks Prue.”

“Oh she’s young, she doesn’t need rest. Now tell us.” Piper laughed at her two younger sisters.

“Fine ok well today—" Prue was cut off by the ringing of Phoebe’s cell phone.

“Ugh! Hold that for a second, I’ll tell whoever it is to buzz off.” Phoebe went to to answer her cell phone in the other room.

“Phoebe hurry up!” Paige said. Phoebe was on the phone for a few minutes when she returned.

“Oh my God you guys! You would never believe what happened!” She said with excitement.

“What? What happpened?” Piper asked.

“I’ve just been voted the best columnist of the year!”

“What?! Oh my God Phoebe! Congragulations!”

“They’re going to interview me tomorrow!”

“Oh my God this is huge!”

“I know!”

"This calls for a celebration.” Paige said.

“It most certainly does.” Piper declared. “We’re going to the club right now. Let’s get ready.”

Prue stood there as she listened to her sister’s big news. Her big news was quickly and completely forgotten. She watched as Piper and Paige gave Phoebe a hug congratulating her on her accomplishment. She unconsciously glared at her.

The sisters celebrated all night at P3. Prue however was anything but in a celebrating mood. Her sisters seem to have completely forgotten about the news she wanted to share. The sisters who were so keen on hearing her news were now praising Phoebe on winning best columnist of the year. Prue wanted to feel happy for her, but something in her made her feel resentment towards Phoebe. No one even seem to notice that Prue was not enjoying the festivities. She watched as her sisters were laughing with each other completely oblivious to her annoyance. Prue drank her drink as she saw Paige stand up and picked up her glass.

“Ahem, can I have everyone’s attention?” Everyone ceased their talking and turned their attention towards Paige. “First of all I would like to say that I’m very proud to be the sister of Phoebe Halliwell, best columnist of the year.” People cheered her as Phoebe turned a bright shade of red. “And I also want to congragulate her on this. Who knew that Phoebe who started work there a mere year ago would become best columnist of year?” She turned towards Phoebe and raised her glass towards her. “We’re very proud of you Phoebe, congragulations.”

“Here! Here!” Piper said.

“Here! Here!” The crowd responded. They all clinked their glasses together. Prue didn’t join in on the toast. She sat there almost seething. Her fist was clenched so tightly around her glass that it was close to breaking. Prue realizing this quicky released her grip.
What’s wrong with me? Prue asked herself. She had such anger inside her. Taking a deep breath she walked over towards her sisters. Prue’s intention was to congrulate her sister but the minute she saw her smiling face, she immediately felt that anger again.

“Can we go home now?” She asked bitterly to her sisters. They turned around and looked at her.

“Prue we’re celebrating.”

“Yeah I know but I have to work early tomorrow.” She said with no emotion. Her sisters didn’t seem to pick up on her mood.

“Oh ok, you can go home Prue, we’ll close up.” Phoebe said.

Like I needed your permission, Prue thought. Without even looking back, Prue left the club. Prue left the club with anger boiling inside her. She was so angry that she used her power to fling a rock across the parking lot almost hitting a car. Getting into her car she banged the steering wheel with her hands and put her head against it.

What’s wrong with me? She asked again. I should be happy for Phoebe, but I’m not. She totally stole my great news. Nobody cares about what I was going to say anymore. It’s all about her now. She works for one fucking year and she gets a reward. I worked all my life. What the hell do I get? Stupid bitch thinking she’s all that.

Prue stopped her thoughts and took a deep breath. She had no idea where all those thoughts came from. Looking at herself in the mirror, she took another deep breath. She suddenly saw a glow in the mirror. Looking again she looked to see what it was. She didn’t see anything. Shaking her head, she started her car and made her way home.

Prue could barely sleep that night. Something was bothering her and she didn’t know what. Realizing she wasn’t going to get any sleep, she made her way downstairs to the kitchen. Her sisters got home about an hour ago so she figured they were all asleep. She was wrong. She found Phoebe nursing a cup a tea.

“Hey.” Prue greeted.

Phoebe looked up and smiled at her sister. “Hey, you couldn’t sleep?”

“No, you too?”

“Yeah, I still can’t believe this. Prue can you believe it? Me, Phoebe Halliwell accomplishing something so big.” Prue’s eyes were bitter as she listened to her sister talk.

“Yeah, I know.” Her fist was clenched again

“We missed you tonight, you left so early.”

“Well I have to work early tomorrow, so I think I’m just going to go back to bed.” Prue started to leave the kitchen.

“Prue wait.” Phoebe sensed something was wrong. Prue turned around and waited for her sister to speak. “Is something wrong?” She asked genuinely concerned.

“No. Everything’s fine.” She gave Phoebe a smile. “Congragulations Phoebe.” With that she left. Prue went back to bed thinking of her feelings. She didn’t do anything wrong, why am I so angry with her? Oh well I guess I was just angry with her because I was about to share my news. It’s fine.

The next day Prue went into work excited about her new assignment. She walked into her editor’s office and found that he was on the phone.

“All right, okay, I’ll get a photographer on it asap.” He hung up the phone and looked up at Prue. “Prue! Just the person I wanted to see.”

Prue smiled. “Yeah Mr. Corso I was wondering when I was going to start that new assignment.”

He shook his head. “Change of plans, I gave that assigment to Reed. I’m giving you a better one.” Prue was surprised. What could possibly be better than that assigment. “I just found out that 415 was the magazine interviewing your sister, Phoebe. And what better way to get the inside scoop on the best columnist of the year than her own sister. So Prue that’s your assignment. You get to photograph your sister on her new found fame. This would put 415 on the block for years to come. You know how many people will subscribe to our magazine? A lot! So get on this assignment asap. Phoebe will be coming in this afternoon.”

Prue felt heart stop. This was the new assignment? She couldn’t believe it. In who’s world was this fair? She didn’t care about her sister’s new fame and she certaintly didn’t want to photograph it. She doesn’t even deserve this! She’s a slacker most of her life and she answers some letters and now she’s Ms. San Francisco? Prue felt her blood boil. She had no choice but to accept this assignment.

Phoebe went into work and the first thing she saw was a big sign that read, Congragulations! All her co-workers were applauding her. Phoebe was flattered beyond words. Her face turned another shade of red as she walked into her office. There were flowers and balloons on her desk. She smiled as she smelled the flowers. Elise, her boss, walked in almost immediately.

“Phoebe! Do you know what time your interview is?”

“Actually no, I don’t even know who’s interviewing me.” Elise handed her a piece of paper with information on it.

“There and don’t be late.” Phoebe took the sheet of paper and read it.

“415 magazine?” She asked.

“Yeah, is there going to be a problem? Cause if there is, I can get another magazine.”

“No, no, it’s just my sister works there.”

“Oh ok. Well I’m off. Congragulations once more, Phoebe.” She turned around and left Phoebe’s office. Phoebe looked at the sheet again and looked at who was to going to photograph her: P. Halliwell.

“What a coinincidence.” She smiled as she picked up the phone.

Prue was prepping for the shoot she didn’t want to do when her assistant called her.

“Prue, you have a phone call.”

Prue went into her office and picked up her phone. “Hello this is Prue.”

“Hey Prue!” Phoebe’s voice made Prue grow angry again.

“Hey.” She said tightly but Phoebe didn’t seem to notice.

“I was looking at the information on my interview today and it’s for 415, and you’re listed as the photographer. Why didn’t you tell?” Prue squeezed the phone.

“Because I didn’t find out until today. A shocker right?”

“Yeah it is, but hey it’s better than a complete stranger right? Ok I guess I’ll see you in a couple of hours, I’ve got a lot of work to do. Bye Prue.”

“Bye.” Prue slammed the phone down. Sitting down on her desk, she put her head in her hands and took a deep breath. She looked at the picture of her sisters that was on her desk. It was one of those pictures that were taken at one of those photobooths at the mall. Prue looked at each picture of her and her sisters acting silly. She traced the features of Phoebe with her finger. She suddenly felt such jealously towards her.

She has a wider smile than me!

Realizing what she just thought, Prue was shocked with herself. She had no idea where that came from. She didn’t know why she was acting like this. Prue felt as if something has taken her over. She tried her best to shake thoughts out of her head as she went back to work. She didn’t get far when one of her co-workers interupted her.

“Prue!” Prue turned around and greeted her friend.

“Hey Dave, what can I do for you?” Dave smiled at her. “Oh you’re about to ask me a big favor aren’t you?”

“You can say that. Corso just gave me the biggest assignment in my whole career and I do not want to screw it up, so I was hoping you would help me.” Prue looked at him curiously.

“How can I help you Dave? I’m just the photographer, I don’t know anything about reporting stuff.”

“Yeah I know, but the assignment was interviewing your sister. So I thought you could give me the inside scoop on her, so I can wow Corso with my great knowledge on the new star of San Fran.”

Prue felt her heart beat faster. I do not believe this! For the love of everyone who’s sane, she’s not some freaking famous super model! She a stupid columnist for a freaking newspaper. Which is not even a good newspaper either. Wait, why am I getting angry? Dave is asking me for the inside scoop. I can tell him everything bad about Phoebe and then she won’t the famous person everyone think she is. This is good.

Smiling michieviously, she agreed. “Sure Dave, just let me finish here and I’ll meet with you in about a half an hour after my lunch break.”

“Thanks Prue, you’re the best.”

“Yeah I know.” Dave smiled and left. Prue finished setting up for the shoot when Paige showed up for lunch.

“Hey Prue, ready for lunch?”

“Yeah, just let me get my purse.” Paige followed Prue to her office.

“Phoebe called and said that you were the photographer for her interview today. It’s funny how the world works huh?”

“Yeah, Paige can you do me a favor, can we not talk about Phoebe for like I don’t know five minutes?”

Paige was surprised. “Ok sorry, what’s up Prue?”

“Nothing, can we go to lunch now.”

“Yeah sure.” Paige looked at Prue suspiciously.

“What?” She didn’t like Paige’s scrutinity.

“Prue seriously what’s wrong?”

“I told you nothing. Can we just go to lunch.”

“Fine.” Paige knew when not to mess with Prue. Prue walked out first to the car, when Paige noticed something different about her. “Hey Prue!” Prue turned around and looked at Paige.

“What?”

“Were you wearing that this morning?” Prue looked at Paige strangely.

“Um yeah, I didn’t change if that’s what you mean.”

“I could have sworn you were wearing a purple shirt.” Prue looked down at her clothes. She was shocked. She thought she had put on a purple shirt too. It was now a dark green.

Phoebe was really nervous about the interview today. She never been interviewed before and she wondered what kind of questions they would ask her. Oh come on Phoebe, Prue’s going to be there. She thought. Prue will make me feel comfortable. Phoebe’s been working so hard that she didn’t even know that it was her lunch break. Her assistant knocked on her door.

“Phoebe?” Phoebe looked up from her computer. “Your sister is here.”

“My sister?” Her assistant moved out of the way and let Piper through. “Oh Piper, I totally forgot about lunch.”

“That’s ok, does that mean you can’t go?”

“Actually, I can really use a break, so give me five minutes and I’ll be ready.”

“Ok. Oh I think we’re meeting Prue and Paige at the café.”

“Cool, maybe Prue can tell me which one of the reporters is going to be interviewing me.” Phoebe gathered her things and left with Piper.

Paige was really quiet as she and Prue were driving to lunch. She didn’t understand Prue’s comment about Phoebe. Prue noticed her silence and turned to look at her.

“What?”

“What? What what?” Paige played dumb.

“Don’t act blonde, you have something on your mind. So you’re either going to tell me or you’ll suffer under my silent third degree.”

How does she do that? Paige thought. “It’s nothing, oh I forgot we might be meeting Piper and Phoebe at the café.”

“Why?” Paige glanced over at Prue.

“Because it’s their lunch break too. I was thinking we’d all go out to lunch, we haven’t done that in a while.” Prue remained silent and stared out the window. Paige was going to question her on what the deal was, but she let it go. They stopped at the red light. Prue was still looking out the window when she noticed the billboard by them. Prue grew with fury as she saw the words that were written on it. The Ask Phoebe Column. Phoebe Halliwell: Best Columnist of the Year.

Paige glanced over at Prue who was looking out at something. “Prue?”

“How long is this red light? Will it turn green already?” The minute Prue said that, the light turned green. Paige was a little surprised.

“That was weird.” She looked over again at Prue. “Prue are you ok?”

“Yeah I’m fine.” She said in a perfect calm. “What time did you say we were meeting them?”

“Like now.” Paige pulled up to the café and put the car in park. She and Prue got out and made their way to a table. Piper and Phoebe arrived shortly after. “Hey guys.”

“Hey.” They said as they took a seat at the table. Phoebe sat next to Prue.

“Hey Prue, do you know who the interviewer is going to be? The sheet said that it was to be decided.” Prue looked at Phoebe. How she wished she could rip her apart.

“Actually it’s my friend, Dave. He’s really good at what he does. Don’t worry he’s not a typical reporter.” Prue gave her a fake smile that would pass for a real one to anyone else’s eyes. “Excuse me a second, I need to use the restroom.” Prue got up and made her way to the bathroom. Closing the stall, Prue concentrated and astral projected to the manor. She quickly searched through the Book of Shadows. She finally found what she was looking for and returned to her body. Stepping out of the stall, she made her way back to the table.

Prue stood at the side where no one could see her and muttered the spell that she had read from the Book of Shadows.

“Let illness fall upon her
Let her body ache
Let her stomach turn
Let her head pain
With only my power
Let this spell last until the day’s last hour”

Green lights sprung from Prue’s hands and floated towards Phoebe. Prue smiled as she walked back to the table. The sisters ate and talked.

“We should do this more often.” Piper said. “We barely hang out as sisters anymore, I mean with the demon hunting and our careers. And especially with Phoebe’s award. They’re going to have you everywhere now. TV, radio, magazines. Everything.” Phoebe smiled.

“Yeah it’s so surreal.” Phoebe suddenly felt lightheaded. “Whoa.”

“Something the matter Phoebs?” Prue asked feigning concern.

“I don’t know, I suddenly felt lightheaded.” Prue put her hand on Phoebe’s forehead.

“Oh I hope you’re not sick.”

“Oh Phoebe, don’t get sick. You have your interview in like,” Paige looked at her watch. “An hour.” Phoebe held her stomach.

“I think it’ll pass.” Phoebe gagged. “Maybe not!” Phoebe made a mad dash to the bathroom with Piper and Paige hot on her heels.

“Oh poor Phoebs.” Prue said as she stirred her latte. Her swizzle stick turned green. It didn’t seem to phase Prue. “Interesting.”

Phoebe was sick the rest of the day. Everyone was upset that she couldn’t do her interview but Prue was thrilled. She went back into work with a smile on her face. Dave was waiting in her office.

“Hey Dave, what’s up?” Prue put her things down on her chair.

“Not my interview.” He sounded upset. “Phoebe’s boss called. She got sick and had to go home. They’re not rescheduling and if they are Corso will probably pick another reporter.” Prue was peeved. He was ruining her good mood.

“Dave, it’s not a big deal. You’ll get better assignments! Phoebe is not all that, trust me. She didn’t even deserve this award. Now if you would excuse me, I have a lot of work to do. And unlike Phoebe, I work to achieve my goals with skill not luck.” Dave was shocked.

“Sorry Prue.” He quickly left her office.

“I swear to God, if someone mentions that stupid bitch one more time—" Prue was interupted by her phone. “Prue Halliwell.”

“Hello, this Elise from Bay Mirror. I’m calling regarding Phoebe Halliwell’s photoshoot. Is there anyway we can reschedule?”

“No actually, we had a deadline. We have other work to do. I’m sorry.” Prue lied.

“Oh I thought you would make a tiny acception since she’s your sister and all.”

“I can’t do that. I’m sorry. I have work to do, but thanks for calling.” Prue hung up the phone before Elise could say anything else.

Phoebe felt like crap. Her whole entire body ached. She had no idea where this sickness came from. It seemed to hit her unexpectedly. She was laying on the couch with a cloth on her head and numerous of blankets around her. Phoebe was so hungry but everytime she ate, she felt like throwing up. She was so disappointed that she missed her shoot, but she was hoping they could reschedule it. Phoebe reached for her phone that was on the coffee table but it seemed so far away from her.

“Paige!” She called. Paige came in with a bowl of soup.

“Hey Phoebs, you feeling better?” She put the bowl infront of Phoebe.

“No, unfortunetly. Can you give me my phone?” Paige handed Phoebe her cell phone.

“Who you calling?”

“Elise. I want to see if she was able to reschedule my shoot.” She said as she dialed.

“I really hope it was rescheduled. I mean I don’t think it’s fair, it’s not your fault you got sick.”

“I know.” Phoebe hit talk and waited for an answer. “Hello Elise.”

“Phoebe, how are you feeling?”

“Still kinda crappy. I was wondering if you were able to reschedule the shoot.” Elise didn’t know what to say to Phoebe. “Elise?”

“Actually Phoebe, no we couldn’t. I called 415 and they said they couldn’t.”

“Are you sure? Did you talk to my sister? I think she’d be able to fix something.”

“Your sister was the one who told me we couldn’t reschedule. I’m sorry Phoebe. Maybe another time.”

“It’s ok.” The disappointment was obvious in Phoebe’s voice. “I’ll see you at work.” Phoebe hung up the phone and looked at Paige sadly. “They couldn’t reschedule.”

“Sorry Phoebs.” She gave her a slight comforting smile.

“It’s ok. There’ll be other magazines right?”

“Oh yeah totally.” Phoebe smiled at Paige.

“Thanks.”

“No problem. Here eat this soup, it might help you feel better.” Phoebe took the soup and took a sip. “Prue and Piper should be home shortly. Maybe we can have a sister night. We’ll all stay here since you can’t really move.” Paige joked.

“Haha, thanks, I’d like that a lot.”

Prue was ready to go home when Mr. Corso knocked on her door.

“Hey Prue, sorry about your sister getting sick.”

“Thanks.” She said with no emotion.

“So did they call to reschedule or anything?” Prue looked up at her boss.

“No, no they didn’t.” She lied through her teeth.

“Damn, well there goes my big break. Well I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Prue smiled mischieviously as she gathered up her things. She made her way to her car and dumped her things in the back. She got into the drivers seat and turned the igntion. Looking at her rear view mirror, she saw something flash. It was like that night in the club. Prue thought nothing of it as she put her car into drive. On her way home, she stopped at another “Ask Phoebe” billboard. Prue glared at it and all of the sudden it caught fire. The flames were almost greenlike. Prue was a little surprised but she just drove on.

Prue pulled up to the driveway of the manor and stopped the car. She made her way up the stairs and opened the door. Stepping in, Prue heard the coughs of Phoebe coming from the living room. She smiled and made her way there. Once again she acted concerned as she walked towards Phoebe.

”You’re not feeling any better?” She asked.

“No, I feel like I could die.” She let out another cough.

“Where’s the rest of the calvary?”

“In the kitchen making snacks. We’re going to have a sister night.”

“Oh.” Prue didn’t want a sister night. She didn’t want to spend anytime with Phoebe. She got up and went to the kitchen. “Hey.” Prue greeted Paige and Piper.

“Hey Prue, we’re having a sister night. Phoebe’s really bummed.” Paige said.

“About what?”

“Well you know, they couldn’t reschedule the shoot. Weren’t you the one who said that to Elise?”

“Yeah, but that’s the way it works. Some people just arent lucky.” Piper looked at her.

“What does that mean?” She asked Prue.

“Nothing. Look I’m really not up for this sister night. I just want to go to bed.”

“But I think it’ll mean a lot to Phoebe. I mean she is sick and all. Plus the whole photoshoot thing.”

”Well she’s gotta tough it up. The real world doesn’t give breaks. She’s got to learn that.” Prue left with that last comment.

“Ok what the hell was that?” Piper turned to Paige. Paige seemed to be avoiding her gaze. “Paige, you know something. What’s up?”

“It’s just, I don’t know. Prue’s been acting really weird lately. Like ever since Phoebe got this award. Prue’s been really mean to...well Phoebe.”

“What do you mean by mean?”

“Well it’s like she doesn’t want to talk about it, like she doesn’t care. And didn’t she almost sound happy when we said that Phoebe was bummed about the photoshoot?”

Piper thought for a moment. “It doesn’t sound like Prue.”

“Yeah I know.”

“Guys!” Piper and Paige heard Phoebe call from the living room.

“What is it?”

“Look.” Phoebe pointed to the t.v. news.

“I’m here live on the corner of Franklin where a series of vandalism has occurred. Three billboards were set on fire starting from here and ending at Adams. The police at this time do not know who might have done this but the only common denominator was that the billboards were all the same. They were all adverstisements of the “Ask Phoebe” Column. Phoebe Halliwell who recently won the best columnist award...” Phoebe turned off the television.

“Whoa that is weird.” Paige commented.

“Yeah just a little. They were all my billboards too.”

“Guys, did you hear where they said it started and ended?” Piper asked. They looked at her questioningly. “Franklin, that’s were 415 is by and Adams, that’s right down the street.”

Gil Corso was going over the assignments of the magazine over the past month. A frown fell upon his face when he read his most recent assignment was cancelled. Photographing Phoebe Halliwell would have put 415 on the block for months. He couldn’t believe that Bay Mirror wouldn’t reschedule. Corso was about to put the assignments away when he saw Bay Mirror’s phone number on it.

“It wouldn’t hurt to call.” He said to himself. He picked up his phone and dialed the number. After a couple of rings, someone picked up the phone.

“Hello, Bay Mirror.”

“Hello, this is Gil Corso from 415 magazine. May I speak to your editor?”

“One moment please.” The secretary put Corso on hold for one second and Elise picked up the phone.

“Hello this is Elise.”

“Ms. Rothman, this is Gil Corso from 415 magazine. I’m calling regarding Phoebe Halliwell’s photoshoot that was scheduled for today.”

“Oh yes. What can I do for you?”

“Well I was a little disappointed that Bay Mirror didn’t reschedule the photoshoot.”

Elise was a little confused. “But I did.” It was Corso’s turn to be confused.

“Really? I was told that you didn’t call.”

“I called this afternoon. I spoke to one of your photographers. She said that I couldn’t reschedule because the magazine had a deadline.”

Corso took some time to digest the information he just heard. “Do you know what photographer you spoke with?”

“Yes, it was actually Phoebe’s sister, Prue Halliwell.” Corso became angry.

“I’m sorry for the confusion Ms. Rothman, but I would love to reschedule, if it’s still ok with you.”

Elise was delighted. “Of course I would.”

“Great, I will call you when I have the date. Again I am sorry for the confusion.”

“It’s quite alright. Pleasure doing buisness with you Mr. Corso. Goodnight.”

“Goodnight.” Corso was angry. How dare Prue lie to him.

Paige took some time to fathom what Piper had just said. She looked at Piper not really believing it.

“Piper that doesn’t mean it’s her.”

“Think about it Paige, you’re the one who said she was acting weird.”

“Yeah she was being mean, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to be burning down billboards. And wouldn’t someone notice her?” Phoebe was laying on the couch listening to her sisters’ conversation. She had no idea what they were talking about

“Guys what’s going on?” But they chose to ignore her.

“Paige I’m not saying we should ambush her about this, but seriously think about it. You said that she was acting weird and being all happy that Phoebe was sick. The burnings starting and ending where they were. And isn’t ironic that Phoebe happened to get sick right before her shoot?”

“Who the hell are you talking about?” Phoebe asked again, but they didn’t seem to hear her.

“Ok now you’re jumping into conclusions.” Paige told Piper. Phoebe mustered up all her strength and stood between her two sisters.

“Ok! Somebody want to tell me what’s going on?” Paige and Piper were surprised at Phoebe’s sudden outburst.

“Phoebe lay back down.” Piper said.

“No! Not until you tell me what’s going on! Who is this ‘she’ you’re referring to, and what does it have to do with the billboards?”

“Phoebe keep your voice down.” Paige told her but Phoebe just gave her a challenging look. “Ok, it’s Prue.” She whispered.

“Prue?!”

“Shh!” Both Piper and Paige said.

“Ok somebody tell me what the hell is going on right now, or I’m going to throw up on the both of you.”

“Ok ok, but first let’s go to the attic since Prue is in the basement.”

“Fine.”

“Um, Phoebe, were you really going to throw up on us?” Paige asked as they made their way to the attic.

“Maybe, but I’m actually feeling a lot better. It must have been a 24 hour thing.” They got to the attic and Piper closed the door. “Ok now we’re here, tell me what this is all about.” Paige took a deep breath and spoke first.

“Has Prue been acting weird lately around you?” Phoebe looked at her questioningly.

“Weird how?”

“Like has she been mean to you or anything?”

“No, why?” Paige and Piper looked at each other confused. “Guys just tell me what’s going on.”

“Ok.” Piper said. “Prue has been acting weird since you got your award. Like she’s been really mean when we would mention it or something. And just then, she didn’t seem to care that your photoshoot was cancelled. We think she might have burned your billboards.” Phoebe looked at them with disbelief.

“You got be kidding right? Why would Prue burn my billboards?”

“We don’t know, but it started by 415 and ended near here.”

“So? That doesn’t mean it’s her. And why would she even do that?”

“I don’t know Phoebe. Maybe she’s jealous of you.” Paige suggested.

Phoebe started laughing. “Jealous? Prue? Ok you guys that’s ridiculous.” She became serious. “I’m not going to stand here and listen to you guys accuse Prue of this.”

“Accuse me of what?” They turned around and saw Prue standing by the door. “What’s going on?” Prue looked around the attic. Her sisters seemed to fear her. “Are we having a family meeting without me?”

“No!” Both Paige and Piper said together. Prue looked at them suspiciously.

“This is ridiculous.” Phoebe said. She stepped towards Prue. “They think that you’re the one that burned down those billboards. They think you’re jealous of me or something.” Phoebe explained to Prue.

Prue looked at Phoebe and laughed. “That’s crazy.”

“I know!” Phoebe said agreeing. Prue walked to the door and locked it. Paige and Piper looked at each other. Prue was still laughing.

“Wow.” She said as she looked at Phoebe. Her eyes glowed green as she continued to laugh. But it wasn’t so funny anymore.

“Prue?”

“You are SO full of it Phoebe. You actually think I would be jealous of you.” She laughed as she walked towards Phoebe. She then became serious, as her eyes glowed green again. “That’s ludicrous.” Her voice suddenly changed to a demonic one as her hand shot out at Phoebe’s throat.

Phoebe didn’t have to time to react. Prue’s hand seemed to come out of nowhere as she squeezed Phoebe’s neck. Phoebe struggled under her grip.

Piper’s first reaction was to raise her hands intending to freeze the room. When that didn’t work, Paige started to panic. She searched around the attic for anything that can help them. She spotted a candle holder and called for it.

“Candle holder!” The candle holder orbed into Paige’s hand. She raised it over Prue’s head and hit her with it. Prue fell to the floor unconscious as Phoebe catched her breath. “Now do you believe us?” Phoebe nodded her head as she stared at her unconscious sister.

“She’s not going to stay like that.” Phoebe said.

“Yeah but what are we suppose to do? If we tie her, she’ll wake up and untie herself with her powers.” Piper pointed out.

“Well we can watch her and if she wakes up, we’ll hit her again until we figure out what’s wrong with her.” Paige suggested.

“Are you kidding? We’ll give her like 10 concussions!”

“Do you have a better idea? Or do you want her to kill Phoebe and maybe us?” Piper opened her mouth to protest but Phoebe spoke before she could.

“No we don’t want that so why don’t we stop arguing and figure out why my sister wants to kill me.” Phoebe walked over to the Book of Shadows and rubbed her throat. Prue had a strong grip on her.

“Phoebe maybe we should call Leo so he can heal that for you.” Piper said.

“No, I’m fine. I just want to figure out what happened to Prue.” Piper and Paige joined Phoebe as they looked in the book. “Well now I know how I got sick.” They looked at the page the book was opened to. It was the sickness spell Prue had cast on Phoebe. “Ok now the question is, why does Prue want to kill me or what posessed her to do so.”

“Yeah we can’t depossess her unless we know what possessed her in the first place.”

“Ok so what are our clues?”

“Well before she choked me, her eyes glowed green.”

“Green.” Paige said more to herself.

“Paige mind sharing with the room?” Paige looked up at her sisters.

“Well it’s just yesterday, when I picked her up for lunch.” Paige stopped to think for a second, not knowing her sisters were waiting for her to finish.

“What?!” Phoebe blurted.

“Sorry! Well I could have sworn she was wearing a purple shirt in the morning, but it was green.” Phoebe looked at her confused.

“Ok?”

“Oh!” Paige exclaimed realizing something else. “When we were in the car, we stopped at a light that had just turned red. Prue said something about it turning green and it did!”

“Wait.” Piper said also realizing something. Phoebe turned to her.

“What?”

“The billboards.”

“What about them?”

“They had a green tint to them in the ashes.” Phoebe tried to understand what this all means.

“Ok, so Prue’s eyes were green, her shirt was green, she made the light turn green, and the billboards left behind green ashes? Ok what? Are we dealing with an Irish demon?” Phoebe asked frustrated.

“Well why don’t we look in the book.” They turned the pages of the ancient book and looked for anything. “Green, green, green. Here!” Phoebe stopped at a page that conviently was written in green ink.

“‘The Demon of Envy.’” She read out loud. “‘The Demon of Envy strikes a powerful witch who, at one moment, is already consumed with intense jealously. Once the demon posesses the witch, she is consumed with envy and tends to do irrational things. The more she grows with envy, the more the demon becomes powerful. The witch is known to be Green With Envy. The demon is an incorporal prescence and can be seen by the witch through her reflection. The witch will often see a flash of light in her reflection signaling the enterance or exit of the demon in and out of her body. The demon stays in the witch until she does an act of self-destruction or destroys the object of her jealously. The only way to vanquish the demon is if the witch fights through his power.’”

“Great.” Piper commented as Phoebe finished reading. “Something tells me Prue will not be in the mood to fight this demon. It seems to have taken over her completely.”

“So what the hell do we do? It says she will self-destruct or kill Phoebe. Either way, we lose.” Paige said.

Phoebe was rereading over the passage. The green ink seemed to be taunting her saying that they had no way out of this one.

“She was jealous of me.” Piper and Paige looked at her.

“Phoebe, she’s posessed.”

“No, it says the demon strikes a witch who is already consumed with intense jealously. That’s its opening. Why would she be jealous of me?

Prue looked around her. She didn’t know where she was but all she wanted to do was to get out of there.

“Hello?” Her voice echoed through the empty air.

“Prue.” A voice said to her.

“Who’s there?”

“You must kill Phoebe.”

“No, she’s my sister.”

“She doesn’t deserve anything. You worked so hard all your life. Why should she get your glory? She’s nothing! You must kill her!” The voice echoed in Prue’s head.
Prue opened her eyes and squinted. Her head pounded. She looked across the attic and watched as her sisters conversed not noticing her wake. “Kill her.” The voice was still in her head. She eyed Phoebe. She knew she had to get Piper and Paige out of the way. Using her powers, she flung them across the attic.

Piper and Paige didn’t know what hit them. The next thing they knew they were on the floor across the attic. Phoebe hadn’t expected that to happen. Phoebe watched Prue as she quickly made her way towards her. Prue had put up a telekinetic shield around them with the help of the demon.

Phoebe was ready this time as she defended herself against Prue. They fought each other for a bit but at one point, Phoebe was to slow for Prue. Prue took that oppurtunity and made another attempt at Phoebe’s throat. Her hand wrapped around Phoebe’s throat once more.

“You can never beat me.” She told Phoebe. She squeezed hard, as Phoebe desperately fought to stay conscious. Piper and Paige couldn’t do anything but watch. Paige tried to orb in but it didn’t work.

“Prue, she’s your sister! You don’t want to do this. You are stronger than he is!”

“Prue fight him!” Their words fell on Prue’s deaf ears. Phoebe was blacking out.

“Prue...” She tried to get out.

“You’re nothing.” Prue said. Tears formed in Phoebe’s eyes. Prue’s grip was increasing. She tried to look into Prue’s eyes seeing if she can find Prue somewhere in there. Then Phoebe tried to use her empathetic ability against Prue. She tried to make Prue feel what she was feeling. Phoebe’s tears fell on Prue’s hand. At this point, Phoebe was ready to black out.

Prue felt such an emotion hit her. She didn’t know what it was, but she looked in Phoebe’s eyes and all that anger and jealously left her. Prue realizing what she was doing, finally let go of Phoebe. Phoebe fell to the floor gasping and coughing. She desperately tried to get air back into her lungs.

Prue felt like her whole body was being ripped apart as the demon left her body. The demon screamed and exploded into nothing. Prue’s telekinetic shield fell also. She looked down at Phoebe. “Oh my God, Phoebe I am so sorry.” Her voice was filled with guilt and remorse. She reached to help Phoebe up but Phoebe got up herself. She gave Prue an ice glare while rubbing her throat. Without speaking a word, she pushed pass Prue and left the attic. Piper and Paige followed her.

Prue looked down at her hands. Hands that just a minute ago, were wrapped around her sister’s throat strangling her.

“What have I done?” Prue sank to the floor, broke down, and cried.

Prue’s sisters wouldn’t talk to her the whole weekend. The silent treatment was really getting to Prue. She was dying with guilt everytime they left the room or ignore her when she spoke. Prue couldn’t believe she hurt Phoebe that much. Not only physically, but emotionally as well. Phoebe wouldn’t even look at her.

It was Monday morning and Prue left for work early. On her way there, she looked as the city workers were taking down the remains of the burnt billboards. Prue looked away. She knew she was possessed but she also knew at some level, it was also her who did those destructive acts. Prue pulled into the parking lot of 415 and stopped the car. She didn’t get out right away but looked at herself in the mirror. She scowled at her reflection. Prue knew the demon wasn’t there anymore but she almost wished it was. Maybe she could stand to look at herself.

Prue finally got of the car and made her way inside the building. The minute Prue walked in, everybody turned to look at her. Prue quickly made her way to her office as she heard her co-workers whispering things to each other. She could only guess they were whispering about her. Prue opened the door to her office and was surprised to see a box on her desk with a few of her things in it. She turned around and went into Dave’s office.

“Dave, why are my things in a box?” Dave looked at Prue with no emotion. Prue bit her lip. She also hurt him during the whole ordeal.

“Maybe you should talk to Corso.” With that, Dave got up and left. Prue swallowed hard and made her way to her boss’ office. Taking a deep breath, Prue knocked on the door.

“Come in.” Prue slowly opened the door and stepped in. She watched as the Mr. Corso looked up and glared at her with daggers in his eyes.

“Mr. Corso.” Prue began.

“I made an interesting phone call on Friday.” Prue gulped as she listened to him talk. “I called Bay Mirror and was wondering why they didn’t at least call.” He looked at Prue who was looking at the ground. “Elise Rothman told me that she did call and she was told that she couldn’t reschedule. Now why would she say that when you told me no one called?” His rhetorical question tore into Prue. “Prue that was the most unprofessional thing you have ever done.” His voice was harsh. Prue managed to find her voice as she looked up.

“I know Mr. Corso but—”

“You know the rules. We ALWAYS allow reschedules unless you are instructed otherwise. You almost lost a huge assignment. 415 is like a team. You were not a team player Prue. I cannot allow people who aren’t team players to work for us. You’re fired, Prue. I want you cleared out as soon as possible.” Prue desperately tried not to cry as she turned around to leave his office. “Why would you even do that? Not only to the magazine, but to your own sister?” Prue held her breath as she heard Corso’s last words. She opened the door and left. Prue made her way back to her office. She realized it wasn’t even her office anymore as she stepped into it. Closing the door, Prue leaned against it and slid down to the floor. “This all my fault.” Prue wiped away a tear and gathered herself together. She went to her desk and started to put the rest of her things in the box that was already there.

The last thing she put in was the picture of her and her sisters. Prue looked at how happy they were in the picture. She wondered if they’ll ever forgive her. She gently put it down in the box. Prue looked around the empty office.

That’s it, she thought. I just lost my dream. Picking up the box, she left her office. Prue felt like she was taking the walk of shame when she was walking to the exit. Everyone was looking at her with shame in their faces. Even Dave, the person who had been her best friend ever since she started working there, looked at her with disgust. She picked up her pace and finally left the magazine. Prue put her box in the backseat of her car and got into the driver’s seat. Then she broke down. Prue banged her hands against the steering wheel and started screaming in anger and frustration. No matter how much she wiped her face, tears continued to fall down.

“Look at me.” She said to herself. “I’m crying cause I ruined my own life.” She gave a cynical laugh.

Phoebe came into work not so happy. She had worn a turtle neck to hide the bruises around her neck that Leo couldn’t heal since he was out of the calling area. It was summer and she was dying in heat. Phoebe opened the door to her office and unintentionally slammed it. It wasn’t long after Phoebe sat at her desk that her door swung open and Elise came waltzing in.

“Phoebe!” She exclaimed. Phoebe wasn’t really in the mood for anyone.

”Elise, this isnt really a—” Elise cut her off.

“Before you say anything, I have some GREAT news.” Phoebe gave an exasperated sigh and let Elise tell her the news. “So on Friday, I was about to go home when I get a phone call from 415. Mr. Corso had asked me why I hadn’t called to reschedule. Apparently there was a mix up at the magazine and that they DO want to reschedule! Phoebe I got you your shoot back!” Elise was expecting for Phoebe to be estatic, but Phoebe didn’t even blink.

“Really? When’s the shoot?”

“They didn’t say yet , but I thought you’d be excited about this.” Phoebe subconscioulsy touched her throat.

“Um Elise, I don’t think I want to do this anymore. The article is fine, I don’t need the shoot.” Phoebe didn’t want to go get her picture taken by the sister who wanted to kill her. Elise was surprised. She thought Phoebe would be thrilled.

“Phoebe, I think you should do this.” Phoebe sighed. She really didn’t need this today.

“I don’t want to Elise.” Elise crossed her arms.

“Well, I’m still your boss, and this would be great publicity to the paper. So you’re going to do it.” Elise turned around and left Phoebe.

“Great.” Phoebe said to herself. “Like I really want to get my picture taken by 415 magazine.”

Prue didn’t go home right away in fear that one of her sisters would be home. It was about lunchtime now when Prue found herself at the beach. Her and Phoebe always used to go to the beach during lunch. Before Phoebe had her job. Prue walked on the warm sand as she looked out to the ocean. She took a deep breath as she let the breeze blow through her hair. The truth was, Prue was and still is very proud of Phoebe. She had no idea why she became so jealous. She was so used to being the best in everything and when someone was finally better than her, she flipped.

How the hell am I ever going to fix this? Prue asked the ocean.

Prue was relieved that no one was home when she pulled up to the driveway. She didn’t think she could face them after being fired, she wasn’t even sure that she wanted to tell them. She was too ashamed.

Prue went to the basement with her box of things and set it down. She looked at all her photography equipment that was laying around in the section she made the darkroom. Sighing, Prue began taking it all down. She didn’t want to be reminded of something she just lost. She looked at the recent pictures she just developed. It was from a roll that she had taken when her and her sisters were having a fun day.

Of course, make me feel more like shit. Prue thought. It seemed like everything was laughing at her. It took her about an hour to put everything away. By then, she heard her sisters come home. She didn’t know which one, but she didn’t want to come upstairs. Prue pulled out the futon that was laying in storage and set it up. She was thinking of staying in the basement until everyone went to bed.

Might as well get comfortable, she thought.

Paige and Piper pulled up almost at the same time. They were both surprised when they saw Prue’s car in the driveway.

“Hey, why is Prue doing home so early?” Paige asked Piper. They made their way inside the house.

“I don’t know, maybe she got off early.”

“It’s five. Early for Prue is like seven.” Paige pointed out. She unlocked the door and let Piper in.

“I don’t know, we can ask her if you really want to.” Paige looked at Piper.

“You’re right, still kind of mad at her.” They made their way to the kitchen as Paige helped Piper make dinner. “I wonder where she is.”

“Probably upstairs. We’ll call her when dinner’s ready.” They heard the back door open and slam. “Whoa, Phoebe is that you?” Phoebe came into the kitchen with a mad look on her face. “Bad day?” Phoebe just grunted.

“Yeah just a little.” She slammed her things down on the kitchen table. Piper and Paige made their way over to her.

“What happened honey?”

“Well Elise is a total bitch for one thing. She’s making me do the photoshoot.” Piper and Paige looked at each other confused.

“But I thought that they couldn’t reschedule.”

“Yeah remember who told them that?”

“Oh yeah, Prue.” Paige said when realization hit them. “So you don’t want to do it because of her?”

“Well duh!” Phoebe sat down and put her head in her hands. “I’m still so mad at her, she hurt me so much.” Phoebe rubbed her throat. “And not just this.” Piper took her hand.

“It’s going to be fine honey, chances are they’ll probably get another person to be the photographer.”

“Yeah but Prue’s still going to be there. And speaking of, why the hell is she home so early?” Piper and Paige shrugged their shoulders.

“We don’t know, I think she’s upstairs though.”

“Fine, I’m going to take a bath. Call me when dinner’s ready.” Phoebe got up and left the kitchen.

Prue heard muffled voices above her. She knew all her sisters were home. Their footsteps were noisy. She guessed that the heaviest were Phoebe’s. Sighing, Prue fell back on the futon and closed her eyes.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Phoebe pulled up to the parking lot of 415. She didn’t want to be there at all. She was debating on whether just to leave but she knew she get in trouble.

“Might as well get this over with.” She stepped out of her car and made her way into the building. She was greeted by a worker and led to Dave’s office. She smiled as she spotted a familiar face. Phoebe often saw Dave at parties because Prue would always invite him. She shook his hand and sat down. “Hey Dave, so you’re doing my interview?”

“Yeah I’m a little nervous.” He smiled at Phoebe.

“Oh don’t be, I’m not famous or anything.”

“Yeah but you’re still beautiful.” Phoebe blushed. “Um ok, I’m going to shutup and get this interview started.”

“Um before we start, is Prue going to be in her office the whole time?” Dave looked at her confused. “What?”

“Phoebe, didn’t Prue tell you?”
“Tell me what?”

“Prue got fired.” Phoebe eyes widened. She was shocked. How did her sister get fired?

“What? Why?”

“I don’t know if it’s my place to tell.”

Phoebe stood up. “Can I talk to your editor?”

“I don’t think you can—” But Phoebe already left his office. “Phoebe wait!”

Prue hadn’t told her sisters she had been fired yet. She knew they’d eventually find out, but she wanted to keep it on the down low as long as she could. Piper and Paige started talking to her again, which was a relief. They told her of Phoebe’s shoot and she knew Phoebe would be the first one to find out of her unemployment. She did a good a job in hiding it though. Prue left every morning so her sisters wouldn’t suspect anything. She knew it was just a matter of time when they found out. Prue was looking for a new job every day, but the reason she got fired from 415 was a big damper of getting her a new job in photography. Almost everybody thought Prue would do the same thing if she worked for them. Mr. Corso made Prue look really bad.

Phoebe came home later that night and found Piper and Paige sitting at the kitchen table.

“Where’s Prue?” She asked them.

“Um probably still at work. Why?”

“Oh no she’s not at work.” Phoebe took a seat across from them at the table. “She got fired.”

“WHAT?!” Both exclaimed.

“Yeah, when I went into the shoot today, Dave told me. Apparently when she told Elise that they weren’t allowed to reschedule, Corso found out and fired her.”

“Whoa, why didn’t she tell us?”

“I don’t know, it’s not like we gave her a chance to, I mean we have been giving her the cold shoulder for a while now.”

“So what happened at the shoot when you found out?”

“Well I didn’t do it.” Both Piper and Paige were surprised.

“Why?”

“Because.” Phoebe looked down at her hands.

“Because what?” Piper asked. Phoebe looked up at her sisters.

“Because Prue wasn’t there. She got fired because of the whole demon thing. It’s not fair. So I told Corso that I wouldn’t do the shoot unless he re-hired Prue. I asked him if he even asked Prue the reason she didn’t reschedule the shoot and he said no. So I told him to find out the reason because it’s not fair to fire anyone if he didn’t know the reason.” Phoebe explained.

“And what did he say?”

“He said that he would reconsider it, because he really wanted to photograph me.”

“Do you think he would re-hire Prue?”

“I don’t know, but I want to talk to her. I want to settle this whole thing between us. We haven’t been like this since the whole Roger thing. And I really don’t want to lose my sister again.”

Prue got home really late that night. She knew that by now, her sisters knew she got fired, she didn’t want to face them yet. Prue quietly made her way upstairs to her room. She was exhausted and just fell on her bed. Closing her eyes, Prue fell asleep.

It wasn’t long after Prue fell asleep that her door open and Phoebe walked in. Phoebe walked towards Prue’s bed and watched her as she slept. She noticed that Prue was above her covers and still had her clothes on. Phoebe carefully crawled on Prue’s bed and laid down next to her sister.

Prue felt the shift in her bed and opened her eyes. She was surprised when she saw the brown eyes of Phoebe staring back at her.

“Hi.” Prue whispered to her.

“Hi.” Phoebe whispered back.

“What are you doing here?”

“Laying down next to my sister.” Phoebe said.

“But why after she tried to kill you?”

“I also know that it wasn’t her.”

“But Phoebe it was, I was possessed but it was still me. I know it, and I know that you do too.”

“Prue, I don’t hate you. I was just really hurt that you were jealous of me. I thought you’d be proud of me.”

“I was, I mean I am proud of you. It’s just, remember when you got the news that you were columnist of the year? Remember I had news to share with you guys, and when you received that phone call, everyone forgot about me. For the first time in my life, someone topped me in something and I couldn’t deal with it. I got jealous. I never meant to hurt you Phoebe.”

Phoebe saw the sorry in Prue’s eyes. “It’s ok, I still love you.” She smiled at Prue. Prue leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. “But Prue you got fired.”

“Yeah I know, I deserved it.”

“No Prue you didn’t. I told Corso that I wouldn’t do the shoot unless he re-hired you.”

“Phoebe, don’t do that.”

“No! You are going into work tomorrow and you are going to get your job back!” Prue looked at her surprised.

“Yes ma’am!”

“I’m glad you see things my way.” Phoebe smiled at Prue.

“I love you Phoebe.” Prue said getting serious.

“And I love you Prue.” Phoebe snuggled under Prue’s chin and fell asleep. Prue put her arms around her little sister and hugged her tight. She kissed her on the top of the head and fell asleep.

Everything was alright again with Prue and Phoebe. Love was stronger than anything between two Halliwell sisters. More powerful than hate, and especially more powerful than envy.
