Phoebe’s Advice

Piper sat on her bed. Her face streaked with tears. She had locked herself in her room. She wasn’t going to leave. Her sister died. How was she supposed to go on? Plus she didn’t know where her other sister was. She couldn’t go on. How could she?

She laid on the bed, glaring up at the ceiling. Leo then orbed into her room. He gave a weak smile.

"Hey, honey," Leo smiled. He laid next to her. His arms soon wrapped around her. "I love you, you know." He paused. "The elders told me to tell you something. It doesn’t make sense, but they said "listen to Phoebe.""

Piper shoot up.

"How am I supposed to do that? She’s not here."

Leo backed away.

"Hon, I love you, but someone else is calling. I’ll come back later. Bye."

And he orbed out.

After huffing and puffing over what Leo had said she laid back on the bed. Suddenly she felt a familiar feeling. They she remembered.

It was the year Piper’s friend had died. She must have been around seventeen. After the funeral, Phoebe had come into her room to talk.

"You know what I think?" she had asked as she crawled into Piper’s bed. Piper remembered that she didn’t respond. Phoebe had gone on. " Bad things happen to good people for no good reason, but bad things happen to bad people for every reason listed. Well, . . . . uh . . . metaphorically speaking. You’re undefeated for as long you can remember, then you meet your match and you’re beat. But you always play the same team again, this time you know their strengths and weaknesses. And you beat them. You’ll beat them, Piper. I know you will. It’ll be okay. Life will be on pause until you get better, Piper. But life will only be on pause for you. Mourn her piper, but don’t ive on everything, on life, just quite yet. Please Piper, press play."

Again Piper didn’t respond. Phoebe got up and left.

Piper came back to reality. She looked over to her VCR. She pressed play.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She assumed it was Leo.

"I’m sorry honey," Piper said as she got up and went toward the door. But when she opened her door. There was Phoebe. Piper smiled. Phoebe was right.
