Prue – 18
Piper – 16
Phoebe – 12
Andy – 18
Phoebe ran down the left side of the soccer field, soccer ball at her feet. Before the other team could get the ball, she passed the ball to her friend Chrissy. She ran alongside to stay open. She could out run anyone, anywhere. Chrissy unexpectedly passed it back to Phoebe and Phoebe kicked into the goal.
"GOAL! Daniels Junior High Wins!" Phoebe and Chrissy smiled, they won. Again. Phoebe turned toward the side lines, where her friends were. Phoebe’s coach ran up to Phoebe and put her on her shoulder.
"Way, to go Halliwell, we’re going to the championships!" She then turned to Chrissy, "Way to go Stile! You girls make a great team!"
Phoebe smiled her award winning smile. Her big brown eyes looked around, but her smiled soon faded. Her sisters weren’t there. Grams was gone again, as usual. She had been gone a lot more lately (a lot of demons, lately). Her shoulders sank. Piper promised she would be there! She looked at Chrissy, and smiled. She had to be happy, for everyone else.
After about an hour everyone had cleared up except, Chrissy, Lauren, Jody, Sara, and of course Phoebe. Theses were the girls who’s families rarely made it to the games and then someone was always late to pick them up. The team had given Phoebe the winning soccer ball. Her foot rested on it. Their coach had left, usually she waited with them, but she had a meeting to go to, so she had to leave them alone.
Phoebe stood up. If she knew one thing she knew that it’s more fun to play soccer than to sit and mope.
"C’mon, get up! Let’s play. Me and Chrissy verse you three!"
They were soon all running up and down the field. Chrissy and Phoebe winning. The sun was just beginning to go down.
They were about halfway through the game, when some highschoolers showed up. Phoebe recognized them, they were in Prue’s class, they were seniors.
"Get off the field squirt!" he said.
Phoebe glared at him. She knew very well who it was, Piper had told her about him. He was D.J. He may be in Prue’s class, but he had been a senior for the last three years. Phoebe knew she couldn’t take him on, but she had an idea.
"Fine, c’mon girls, we’ll wait up front. We should let the have the field. We wouldn’t want D.J. to think. That would hurt him too much. It would be too much trouble." Everyone chuckled. Phoebe went on. "That’s why he stay back, it was too hard for him to think. That’s why he does so many things that don’t take too much thinking. Sure, you can have the field."
Phoebe and her friends turned and started to leave. As soon as Phoebe’s back was turned. he started running toward her. You see D.J. was four times Phoebe’s weight and height. If he was on top of her too long, he might kill her.
"She’s going to kill us Prue! Step on it Andy!" Piper was coaching everyone from the back seat. Finally the three stopped in front of the school, just in time to see D.J. tackle Phoebe to the ground. By now all the other girls had runaway, except Chrissy.
He tackled her until she was under him, and he had her arms penned to the ground.
"I ain’t dumb, Halliwell!" he screamed.
"You AREN’T!?" Phoebe yelled.
D.J. picked her, up and threw her across the yard. Let’s just say she went pretty far. He walked over to her, and penned her down again. They heard a crack. Phoebe was now in tears. His weight was too much for her body. he was about to say something, but was interrupted. Through her tears Phoebe had the strength to kick his in the groin.. His hands pulled back to hold himself.
"Get off of her, you ass." Andy tackled him from behind. Andy was a muscular, he could take this guy out easily.
Piper rushed over to Phoebe. It was obvious that she broke something on her arm. Piper easily picked her up. By then, Chrissy’s dad had shown up, he had seen the whole thing. Chrissy’s dad was a policeman, he knew exactly how to deal with a guy like D.J. He helped Andy with D.J., the other guys had run away when they saw Andy.
Andy knew that Prue would want to yell at this guy so he waited, as he tightly held D.J.’s hands. Prue walked up to him. She was about six inches smaller than he was, but she definitely wasn’t afraid.
"What right do you have to attack her, you oaf?" Prue screamed. She pointed to Phoebe. "She’s twelve! Yeah, you could have killed her! Let me clear up that name I called you! An oaf is someone like you who takes advantage of little girls, like you! Who stupid enough to mess with a Halliwell! Don’t you ever go near her again. Got it?"
He nodded. Prue scared him, she was scary.
Prue walked over to Phoebe. They had to get to the hospital. To her surprise, Phoebe was grinning.
"What?"
"That’s not what an oaf is." She paused, "but I’m still mad at you for now coming to my game. We’re going to the championships."
Prue smiled.
They found out Phoebe only broke her finger. She could still play in the championship.
She and Chrissy scored the winning goal again. This time Phoebe smiled when
people congratulated her. Chrissy was on coach’s shoulder this time, and she was on Andy’s, with her sisters by her side.
