To Fill In the Blanks

Piper sat in the living room. The manor was quiet. Her sisters were at work and Leo was working also. AS she nursed a cup of coffee, she felt despair at her half. She wanted a child so badly, she was going to beat this. She was going to show those God Damn doctors that she could have a baby.

However, she felt it somewhat deep down. Something that she was trying so hard to deny but couldn’t fight it. It was fear, fear that they were right. She was feeling defeat. She was afraid she was going to loss the fight of having children.

She knew she need one thing, one person. She need Prue. She need something, someone to believe in, something to look forward to. She felt as if she lost hope. She had almost lost Phoebe, she had completely lost Prue. And she and Paige were as different as oil and water. She needed hope.

She dawdled into the kitchen and put her now empty mug into the sink. Suddenly she was filled with the sense that she wasn’t alone, but it was a good feeling. She turned around, cautiously. She let out a joyful sob.

"Prue?"

"Hey, honey," she smiled.

Piper choked back sobs.

"Prue, Oh, God. Prue?" Piper embraced her in a hug. Tears streaking down her cheeks. "I miss you so much. Phoebe misses you so much. She’s being so strong, I worry about her."

"I know. I’ve been watching you. The Elders have allowed me to deliver a message. They want to thank you. They thank the Charmed Ones somehow. Paige and Phoebe have pertisipated in this reward." Piper gave her a dumbfounded look. "Your going to be sent somewhere. It’s kind of like our trip to the future, just well monitored my the elders. You know what to sy and what not to say. Thank you, Piper, from all of us." Prue was beginning to fade away. But before everything went black, she heard one last thing. "I love you, Piper, always remember that."

Piper opened her eyes and she was lying down in the living room. There was something different about it. Every thing was more updated. But then something drew her to the mantel. There were picture lining it. A picture in the middle was of her, Prue and Phoebe all those years ago. Another of Paige, her and Phoebe. One of her and Leo; one of Phoebe and Cole with two little girls. But then one brought Piper glued to it. It was in the center of the mantel. She recognized where it was taken, though she personally couldn’t remember ever going there. It was as if in a far off dream. In the middle was a teenage girl, her long, thick, radient, dark brown hair bowing slightly in the wind. Her head was tilted slightly to the side toward the girl on her right. They had the same eyes. The younger girl looked about fourteen. She too had thick hair, but it was shoulder length and dirty blond, with a slight hint of red. They were beautiful. AS if they were models, but they weren’t. Then finally, sitting in front of them was a little boy. His dark, slightly curly hair was pulling his short hair back. Piper smiled.

"Mom!" yelled an incoming voice from the foyer.

Piper swiftly turned toward the foyer. She almost cried, there was the eldest girl standing at the door with the other girl behind her. They even looked more beautiful in person. She knew for sure that the eldest was Melinda. It was the motherly instinct. It was also with this instinct that she knew exactly who the other two were. Memories that hadn’t ben lived yet were alive in her head. The younger girl was Katie, Katheryn. The little boy ran to Piper and wrapped his arms around her waste.

"Hey Curt," she said with a smile. She had named him after the doctor that died at her expense so long ago, Curtis Williamson. She looked at her children, they were so beautiful. And this is real, right?

"Mom, are okay?" Katie asked. She nodded her eye tearing up now. "Yeah, I’m fine why don’t you go et cleaned up for dinner."

Though hesitantly, they left. Piper looked up at the sky.

"Thank you."

When Piper opened her eyes she was back in her time. She smiled. Not all hope lost.

Meanwhile, in the clouds

"That worked," Penny said with a smile.

"Yes, it did," Patty replied. She turned to Prue. "And these memories were fake?"

"Not exactly but partly. We know Piper will conceive three children, and we knew what sexes they would be. We used Piper’s hopes to fill in the rest. We only know destiny not detail, that is why we live, to fill in the blanks."

The three smiled. To fill the blanks.
